As soon as you pay your deposit, you are given access to a planning portal. This is very useful if you don't have a wedding coordinator. It helped for making a schedule of the wedding, and I printed that out to give to our Maid of Honor, Best Man, parents, and other people who would find that schedule useful. They made sure to keep in contact regularly. They gave us a choice of 3 photographers to pick from, so even though we took the test to see what our style was, we were still able to see some samples of their work before we had to decide on one. We went with Brandilynn, who lived in our area (Virginia Beach) and was very familiar with the location. She was great!!! The day of our wedding was cold and rainy. The inside of the church was old, and the room that I got ready in was not anything special. However, with Brandilynn and the George Street Photo Editor's combined efforts, you really couldn't tell what the weather was, or how run down the back of the church was.. The pictures were absolutely beautiful! We are very happy with the overall experience.

Kept happening. Then after a session in 2019 they tacked on an extra $1K in bad charges. Never agreed to. No change order. Got tired of the bad billings. So we stopped using them. Now each year they generate fake invoices and mail and email them to us in a typical fishing scam. They know that all of our contracts were for buyouts. We've since reported them to the FTC, BBB, and States Attorneys office for fraud. I would steer clear of these guys. If you have an account with them I would audit them. Even their collection agency admitted they had nothing to go on.

On the day of the photo session Elena and Nikita arrived earlier to set up and prepare everything for the session. It was a bit called, so Elena and Nikita were working in fast pace, to make sure we won't get a cold. I always considered myself as a non-photogenic person, so I was worried before photo session . However, throughout the photo session, Elena helped me to relax, be myself and more over, open myself up from a different side I have never seen. The review below talks about a styled shoot in Washington that she was hosting. For those who aren't in the photography world, it is basically a fake wedding/elopement to try new photography techniques, shoot in a new location, bring to life an idea, etc. Katherine had set up a two day styled shoot in Leavenworth WA. She advertised in a very public adventure elopement facebook group about her styled shoot to get attendees. It should be known that when photographers signed up for this shoot, she only had a deposit and final payment requests. No contract was issued. Two days before the styled shoot, Katherine states on the facebook group that she is cancelling the retreat and "rescheduling". She claims that the Air B&B just up and cancelled on her however you could see the active listing on Air B&B at that time for those dates. Myself and the other attendees immediately started offering other location suggestions and ideas in the area of the styled shoot as we were eager to photograph there. Katherine refused to do this because she wanted content at the Air B&B. After the dates passed, I continuously attempted to reach out to her and provided my availability for reschedule. I requested refunds and she made me feel bad that she was loosing money over this and that all the items she purchased for this shoot couldn't be used. As a photographer joining the retreat, not under contract or having directive control in the shoot planning, I should not be financially responsible for issues that arouse that prevented the styled shoot from occurring. Especially when the other attendees were still willing to shoot those days at other locations. Months later I am still trying to get ahold of her. She has blocked me across several platforms as well as my phone number. She doesn't respond to my emails. I have requested refunds via the method of payment. Whatever you do. Do not hire her. Do not go to her styled shoots!!!!! AND this is her second business. Her initial business, WILDKAT PHOTOGRAPHY was closed due to similar reviews and issues that you will read about her. She is not to be trusted and quite shady. Hope this saves someone else from loosing money!
