The outdoor voting person wanted me to walk around to the far entrance to use the bathroom. She was quite rude about it. I could not go "into the voting door". Here is the stupid thing in order to use the only bathrooms in the building at the library I had to walk down the same corridor as the votes to use the toilet. The bathroom is right next to the voting entrance. Which is right next next to the bathrooms making me walk also right next to that lady and the voting door entrance. Rude Voting Lady and horrible way to run the library / county voting. FYI. I live in this county and pay their wages through my taxes. I wish I could VOTE on that.

We like to take out a few books at a time to read at night. The kids section just wasn't that impressive. There was a big TV that some kids were playing on and a bin of stuffed animals. You would think a modern library would do a much better job to get kids excited about reading. Maybe I was missing something. It seemed more like an office then a library. Hopefully they will be making some improvements. I will have to check out what they do this summer. Maybe they will have some excitement added and I can change my review.

They have film, books with indexed information, a large area is dedicated to genealogy and history. This was a very helpful visit and great experience. If you have time because you'll need it and your family comes from Virginia this is a good place to find information. The staff is friendly and helpful giving you pointers, they can lead you to locating information. I was able to find a document from the early 1800s regarding the marriage of my ancestors, it was amazing. This Library offers more than just books for you to view it offers a window into history, life and Virginia the good and the bad.

They have a nice organized kids section with legos, puzzles, and more to keep little busy. They also display local school art projects etc. My child is always excited to see the class artwork on display. There are plenty of FREE resources here that people do not realize. Free kid & adult classes, events and more. Sometimes registration fills quickly but they also have waitlist. We visit all the libraries to take advantage of the chesterfield resources. You can also check out a state park bag here to use as a local guide & activities when in the park.

I found a comfortable table in a "talking" area where I could take a Zoom meeting or two without disturbing other patrons. It's nice that the entire library isn't a quiet zone and supports this sort of thing. Of course, the wifi was easy to connect to and I had no trouble with power outlets for the laptop. It's right on Westover Hills Blvd. near Devonshire rd. ***EXPERIENCE*** I always have a good experience here. It's an easy spot to walk or bike to. They have a good amount of bike lock space and a little parking lot behind it. The librarians who work here are very kind and helpful. It's a smaller library, but has most of the good stuff (at least in regards to what I'm trying to read). Like all libraries, you can put a book on hold or have a book sent to this library if it's not at this location. They have computers for their online catalog. They also have quite a few computers you can log into for personal use. This library is a great spot to get some work done or (surprise) read a book. I love all the natural lighting that spills into this space. ***PRICE*** It's free! It's a library. If no one has a hold on the book you're borrowing it'll automatically renew. ***BATHROOM*** There are single all gendered stalls you can use that are clean. ***CONCLUSION*** I love this library for its librarians, its space, and its books!

I had seen an ad for the upcoming movie and really wanted to read the book. Richmond Public Library didn't seem to offer it, but Henrico Public Library had three copies. I feel like Henrico always has more book options which is nice. Instead of placing it on hold and waiting for it to come to a closer library, I decided to go check out a new to me library. I loved how modern this library was. There was a HUGE amount of parking available. They had women and men restrooms near the front. I liked that at the front they had a new release shelf. They had some other shelves upstairs, but it seems like a majority of the books can be found downstairs. There is a lot of seating as well as a computer lab downstairs. They even had private rooms for rent. It took me a bit to find the graphic novel section. A sweet librarian asked me if they could help and thankfully they pointed me to the correct section to find my book. I loved that at the graphic novel section they had a free bookmark with notable adult graphic novel artists names. The checkout system is DIY. You scan your card and leave the book on this scale that automatically knows what book it is. Another librarian explained this process to me. I had a great time at this library and would recommend it for a new working space (they had good wifi) or finding great books.

Plenty of tables and chairs, a screen and projection, lectern.... great space. They also have vending machines with drinks and snacks.
