I believe that there is only one dentist working here, and as a result of this factor and his well known status of being a good dentist appointments have to be booked well in advance. He also doesn't accept new NHS patients very often as a result of being full at the moment. This dentist surgery is in the middle of Cranfield parking is non existent at the surgery but parking in surrounding streets is easy enough. The way up to the dentist is a narrow staircase but they have catered for all with the installation of a stair lift. The only thing I don't really like about this place is the way the door is left open during your treatment, this means people coming to reception can hear your conversation perfectly and also maybe see you whilst in treatment. However I feel that this minor grumble is insignificant when you compare it to the great dental work of this surgery.

For example, I pay £8 a month and this means that all my check ups, cleaning and x rays are free and I only pay for other treatment which is at a discounted rate. The staff are really friendly and really seem to enjoy working there, the waiting room is really relaxing and comfortable and not really like a dentist waiting room at all and my dental surgeon is really nice although I have seen other dentists when she has not been available and they have been really nice too. The surgeries are really modern and high tech and you really feel like you are getting the best treatment and you are looked after. I have had a lot of trouble with my teeth over the last few years but they have been sorted out here and I don't mind going to the dentist here.

They do offer free treatment for holders of an NHS form or cheaper treatment in general for NHS patients. When I first walked in it was as expected, a dentist surgery. I waited for about 10 minutes longer than I should have and seemed to be greeted by a rather rude dentist who, after a few minutes, seemed to become a little friendlier. A dentist surgery is a dentist surgery, never particularly nice places to be in but apart from the rude dentist and silly name the rest of the experience was OK.

We had always been very happy with the work we had received but then our dentist retired and Sara Afework took over. My family and I just didn't find her approach very good, so much so, my mum had put off necessary work on her teeth until we found a new dentist! Some things about this practice are good : Good availability to emergency appointments and routine appointments at short notice. Bad things are: quality of work! - Having one filling has now left my tooth extremely sensitive which I have ben informed should not be the case. Lack of parking and the appointments really being an hour later than expected. All in all go to this dentist if you NEED one (there are always NHS spaces!!), if not spend your time looking for a better one.

The dentists is very clean and up to date looking with laminate floor in the waiting room, there are plenty of magazines to read whilst you are waiting. At this dentists they treat privately and nhs patients. A year ago i had to have 4 teeth extracted at these dentists and to cut a very long story short i am no longer afraid of the dentists after having this done, infact i could have anything done and wouldnt even batter an eyelid any more. The dentists put your mind at rest and if you still think you can feel something or some pain they will stop and give you some more injections. The staff are very friendly and they call you before your appointment to make sure you are still avaliable to attend.

They said that if I wanted to see the Hygienist it would cost £45 for a scale and polish on top of the NHS charge. When I asked why I had to pay privately she said because the hygienist was private. It seems unfair that in order to have a proper job done at an NHS practice you have to pay privately.

She is a breath of fresh air. I feel very well taken care of and listened to, especially as a patient of a nervous disposition. Over the years I've had the odd silver filling replaced and one root canal and each treatment was completed with precision and the after-care has been exceptional. My wife had implants and crowns in 2019 and has had no issues since and she sees a specialist dentist every year for reviews. I find the prices fair and always explained clearly and I receive a discount for attending every 3 months.
