I had a wonderful time watching Indianapolis Ballet's performance here. It was my first time but it was easy to navigate. I knew there was a garage but I parked on the street a block away, which was the right decision as I heard it takes long to exit the garage after the show if you park there. It is such a beautiful space. When I got inside, it was unclear where I was supposed to go. But once I went to the right section,The seat was easy to find. However, unfortunately the people with poor etiquette ruined my experience a bit. Some were constantly talking during the performance, others took out a phone with a bright screen in when it was dark. I think they need to remind the audience to be courteous and respectful, although it is a common sense. read more

Nice auditorium on the campus of Butler University. It's been here a long time. It's a really great auditorium. A great place to see a show. The acoustics are very good. I always get seats up on the terrace levels as it just gives me a better view of the show. The staff here are friendly, whether it at the bar, the Merch tables, or just helping with ushering. They're all very friendly usually have a smile on the face in our as helpful as possible especially for people in situations that are not normal. The seats are a little small, but that's to be expected in a older auditorium. But it seems as if everyone has a pretty direct view of the show no matter where you're sitting on the floor up on the terraces, there are three of them, or anywhere in the auditorium. I really don't see a whole lot of places here that have any obstructions whatsoever. They bring in a number of Broadway shows every year, do a lot of concerts here, and of course, the university stuff. Highly recommended. read more

I went Tuesday & saw STOMP! Great show! I've been to a few shows here this year & wow this place is just fantastic! The seating is amazing & I haven't had a seat where I can't see. There are restrooms available on the first & 2nd floor, the shows I've seen have been definitely worth the money. The staff is very helpful & they even have ear plugs for those with sensitive ears. Definitely worth it! Loved the 3 shows I've been to & look forward to the next one! Just know before ya go, parking is $15/car in the garage. read more

I have come here 3 times for a show and I have always enjoyed it. There is truly no bad seat in the place. They have a convenient parking garage but there is also street parking all over if you do not want to pay for parking. The setup is great and there is concession on both sides upstairs and downstairs. Love coming here! read more

This is a really wonderful theater and great place to see a show. The staff is friendly and helpful. I've never had a problem with my view no matter where I sat. And they bring in some very good acts. Definitely worth a visit if you see something that fits your taste. read more

I've been to Clowes no less than a dozen times, for touring Broadway shows, speaker events, and music performances. The sound quality is great, the seats are comfortable, the amenities are great, and the service is always good. The downsides are 1) the parking garage. Although it's great they have one, I spent over an hour trying to leave after a show so I no longer use it. I park a few blocks over and walk to the venue. And 2) they recently remodeled and now the balconies have atrocious views. The seats are bolted too far back so you can only see half the stage, and there is glass blocking your view. I understand there are codes they need to meet. When I showed up recently and saw these changes I spoke with the box office and they were able to move me to a different seat. read more

If you are looking for a quality show then you'll have to check out what Clowes has to offer. A huge variety here, something for everyone. The prices are usually reasonable, especially if you purchase directly from the box office and save yourself all those inconvenient convenience fees. Once you have your tickets and need event parking, there is a parking garage just a few steps from Clowes. There are usually several bars open to purchase drinks and snacks. And if you are looking for souvenirs, you can generally purchase event merchandise in the lobby. This is a wonderful smaller and more intimate venue to see a show or concert. The acoustics are wonderful. The seating is comfortable. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone. I hope to see more concerts there in the future. read more

Something is very wrong with the management here in 2025. Been volunteering as an usher here for over 20 years and was informed recently my services were no longer needed without explanation. I volunteer usher at over a dozen venues all very happy with me. I am on time, do my job, am friendly with the patrons & tidy up the venue after shows. Please do not patronize a company that treats others like this. Besides all this from a non-paid employee's perspective of treatment, there was a recent remodel to the terraces adding plexi glass and more chairs in the box seats that now have only a limited view so there are some very poor management decisions clearly being made. read more
