It is mostly made up of clothing chains but there are some good specialty shops (also chains) in between like Webhallen, Clas Ohlson, and Lagerhaus. There is even a small pet store (more like a kiosk) in case you forgot to get the cat's food and you're on the way home. Though most of the building is boring, there is a beautiful wall of plants next to L'Occitane. If only there was more of that! It is right next to the train station, the bathrooms are clean (and unisex), and there are over 15 places to eat so it's not the worst place to make a pit stop.

I actually thought it would just self die when more and more stores started shutting down and the shopping centers outside the city grew stronger. The turnaround came with the new station at triangeln. It also meant that this mall got a much needed renovation so part if it now looks modern and airy. That has to some extent revitalized it but the selection of stores is still the normal stuff you will find in most Swedish malls so a it boring. A few new food places have also opened up but also there very little excites, still it is a vast improvement compared to what it was.

Summary: Think Anthropology but more boutique Soho-esque. Very well curated selection of brands…read morethat are trendy, but different enough. The Store: It has a very Soho feel. A very great job merchandizing with plenty of places for guys to sit... you'll want to because there is a high probability your girl will be there a bit trying things on. The Price Point: Mid-range, similar to Anthropolgy for the US, but more urban. This store would not make sense in the suburbs. The clothes: It's a very curated selection of brands that are of great quality but I've never heard of them. That's the joy of traveling though and perfectly what I'm looking for. I wrote a lot of e-mail at the same shop and also to official brand and I was told that they would send a new perfume but real big lie cause to my answer with address they disappeared. There's even a gourmet market in the basement below it with a bakery, pizza, fresh fruits & vegetables, and many specialty chocolates and candies. This part of the store connects to the underground Kongens Nytorv metro station. That's quite convenient for commuters on their way home from work. It's also great for tourists like us who want to buy last minute things like Lakrids of Bülow. There's a shop for that here as well. It's also where you'll find a coffee shop. We would eventually find out that there are many different cafés located on various floors of this department store. We found an express version of Hallernes Smørrebrød. I've written a separate review for this location, but for some reason it just doesn't show up in my Yelp activity. I just wish I had known about the other restaurant location on the top floor that boasts beautiful views of the square. We visited twice and somehow missed it. If anything, it would be nice to see a full directory of each floor listed on their website or near the entrance of the ground floor. The building is on the site of what was once the Hotel du Nord. Hans Christian Andersen was a resident of the hotel from 1838 to 1847. It's not the same building, but they supposedly recreated his room. It can be accessed on the 3rd floor. It's a second part of the store that I regret not seeing. Hence, the 4 star review for not having a clear map to everything without having to go floor by floor. It was a great find when walking through Kongens Nytorv Square. It's difficult to miss the beautiful French architecture of this building. It draws you in as you discover what's inside of it.

So, listen, OSV is one of those places that has constantly rotation selection of items, so it is different every day. People come in and sell their stuff, and then you buy it. Some of the items are gently used, some are brand new with the tags still on. The majority are high-end local brands like Acne, Malene Birger, and Wood Wood. The place is pretty small, so they have a pretty limited selection, but it is all top quality. No digging! They have mostly clothing, but also some shoes, bags and accessories as well. Good news for men! They have a good mens section as well with Trigger, Han Kopenhagen, raw denim jeans, etc. This place is a gem. Dont miss it.

Chapeaux Petitgas is closed on the weekends, but it's easily worth a quick lunchtime shopping excursion during the week. Lots of City Sport and Stetson (the Humphrey Bogart models, not the John Wayne). The crushable models are tightly stacked on bookshelves around the main area; the more refined models are in the glass counter display, and in cases behind it. The owner is exactly who you'd expect to find running the place --- helpful, reserved, and mellow --- but he has an opinion, and he'll share it. Prices mostly ranged from DKK 700 to DKK 2500; I found a nice Harris Tweed flat cap for DKK 750. There's a stack of DKK 425 peaked caps on the counter, but you _will_ get cautioned about the inferior workmanship and materials -- it's one of those "opinions."

The reason this was so special, is because I didn't realize I had the wrong size until I got home. I shipped them back to his store with a letter and had sent an email. Once he received the hats, we went back and forth via email and he sent pictures to show which hats were available in the correct size! And once I made a decision he helped to ship them back to me. I didn't know what to expect when I sent them back, as I wasn't able to reach anyone via phone. But I was completely taken care of with kindness and understanding. I would highly recommend this shop! The hats are of amazing quality, the shop itself is quaint and historic, and the service impeccable.
