Most important is the way I feel when I am there and the progress I am making. The atmosphere is aesthetically pleasing and clean. The music is fun, and playlists are welcome. Jacob and Melissa create a warm, welcoming and fun environment that feels very inclusive. My experience with other customers, both male and female, has also been very positive. The gym attracts a supportive and friendly crowd. When I am there, I feel internally relaxed and I can focus on my workout. I have had many trainers over the years; personally, Melissa is by far the best trainer I have worked with. She is not only a certified trainer and yoga instructor; she has a degree in exercise science which is frequently demonstrated by her knowledge. I feel like I learn something new with every session. Her workouts are just the right amount of challenging. She ensures this by asking questions to assess and prevent injury. If I come in with pain, she has knowledge of how to release muscle tension using stretching exercises and equipment. Melissa really listens. This is so important to me. Another benefit is the delicious protein shakes at the end of each weight training session. Over the last year, I have attended yoga classes here, and have bought multiple personal training packages which, for me, included one to one yoga and one to one weight training and cardio. I have enjoyed all of it! I feel stronger and I am appreciating the changes in my body. If you like to take classes, one of the benefits of coming here is that the classes are small and intimate; so even though you are taking a class, you still get a lot of personal attention. Every class she gives a whole hour of energy meditation with all types of body work out. They are conducted in beautiful music and rhyme. I love going to her classes to treat myself and revive my energy. Also, through her, I attended many BnB's meditation trips. To name a few, Sedona WOW, Korea meditation, El Salvadore Ibrea foundation, Tenerife Healing Garden, Spain. I had opportunities to travel with likeminded people, get to know loving staffs and trained by BnB masters. I have met so many amazing people with great energies, they send constant signals to myself to build strong mind and body, at the same time pass on healing and loving energies toward my family and friends. The classes are as good as the ones at her center. Practicing yoga daily has become part of my daily life. I am always happy, and full of energy. Instead of gaining weight during COVID, I have actually lost weight (intentionally), and was able to gain some muscles (yay!!!). I feel strong and confident. I highly recommend attending classes with her.

She told me about a unique yoga practice here in Forest Hills. I was skeptical, assuming that this would be an ordinary yoga studio. She invited me to take an introductory session and I signed up thinking, why not? I had been looking for some sort of exercise routine so I could start here. A couple of days later, I walked out of that intro session knowing that it had changed my life forever. Although this is is categorized as yoga, the classes include an all body workout which is tailored to individuals of all ages (yes, from children to elderly folk) and of all abilities. There are classes which build up a sweat for those who are looking to strengthen various muscle groups and other much lighter classes to build flexibility. There are multiple classes at all hours of the day to suit your schedule and numerous fun community events to join in on. Regardless of which classes you attend, the euphoric feeling of getting out there and moving your body is the same. The location is a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere with encouraging instructors and a friendly group of welcoming individuals. I began to take as many classes that I could and I started to see the changes in my body. I was stronger, calmer, more flexible, and releasing tension that I couldn't believe I was holding. The woman I met at the street fair was Master Amy; she is a learned instructor who is passionate about spreading love, honesty, and helping others to overcome their obstacles. Through classes and sessions with her, she showed me how to find the potential to climb out of this rabbit hole that I was trapped in. I never knew how much emotional pain manifested as physical pain in the human body. I embarked on a journey to identify these pains, detox my body of the rigidity and numbness it caused, and train my mind to better handle stress. If you go to classes often, I can personally guarantee that this practice can shift your perspectives and change your life for the better. The instructors are warm, knowledgeable, and offer a unique mix of yoga and qigong that helps me release tension and feel more balanced. The studio is clean, spacious, and welcoming, with a cheerful energy that makes every class enjoyable. Even though my pain isn't fully gone yet, I feel a noticeable difference in how my body and mind feel overall. They also offer monthly special classes, which keep things fresh and engaging. From day one, I was completely drawn in by the positive energy, welcoming community, and incredible variety of classes. Whether you're looking for a powerful Hot Yoga session, a gentle restorative class, or something in between, they truly offer something for everyone. The teachers are phenomenal--each brings their own unique style, passion, and heart to their teaching. I also love the workshops and special events they host. This past New Year's Eve, I had the amazing experience of welcoming 2026 with a midnight yoga and meditation class. It was the perfect way to set the tone for the year--centered, peaceful, and intentional. On January 1st, I took Merlin's class and was blown away. She greeted us with flowers, a note that read "I am love," and the most uplifting energy. Every class since has been a profound journey inward, helping me connect to myself in ways I can hardly put into words. I am so grateful to all the teachers at Living Yoga for sharing their gifts with such dedication. If you're looking for a studio that nourishes your body, mind, and spirit--this is it. My favorite class I have been going to recently has been a Flow & Restore class Wednesday mornings with Merlin. It's a perfect blend of breathwork, stretches along with spirituality and Yoga foundations. Merlin is amazing. Great energy and she has a very healing, relaxed vibe to her. HIGHLY recommend this class, as well as any other class this studio offers. The other instructors I have taken classes with are also amazing. Denise, Mi Han and Sabrina to name a few. All of them are very welcoming and loving. Go check it out!
