The owners and instructors are wonderful people and they always greet you by name. They also have a variety of classes including Barre Fusion (which is a combo of barre and yoga), yoga, circuit barre (more cardio) and ballet class (only classical ballet moves). They often have groupon specials which is great! I really like browsing in the boutique which serves as the entryway for the studio. They have workout clothes and also locally made jewelry and hair ties. Water and snacks are also available for purchase. I highly recommend taking a class (first class is free) at Grand Jete and I am sure that you will get hooked like I did!

I would recommend getting the sticky socks if you are going to be a regular. I was slipping all over the carpet during planks. They have cubbies in the actual studio to hold all your belongings. At $20 per class I do feel the price is tad high in comparison to other group exercise classes. They do seem to offer Groupons occasionally though! If you're into Barre this is a great option!

Since then they have added and improved a great deal of things to this place! I have been going to this gym for over 5 years now and have absolutely loved it. The staff are all super kind and willing to answer questions and the head manager is always ready to answer anything too. When you first walk in you have the open area along with the day care room on your right and then you have the front desk and next to that is the smoothie bar! I have come to it to get plenty of Protein packed drinks to help refuel myself after a workout. They have a large variety of machines and freeweights on the ground floor on top of many other amazing options too. Upstairs you will have a more private workout area that is smaller and a vast majority of the cardio machines. Downstairs in the main area you will have the racket ball room, the workout/class room, the cycling room, the media room with a giant cinema screen to watch while working out, the pool area along with 24e's own version of crossfit in the room behind it. What is also awesome about the place is that they both come with spacious restroom and locker rooms. Fully equipped with showers and plenty of body wash or shampoo if needed. The guy's area comes with a sauna and a steamer room and I believe the women's rest room/locker room comes with a sauna as well. On top of this gym being a 24 hour access gym with scanning pass key access the community has really shown up and continued to grow and come to this gym over the years. And I am sure it will only continue to grow!

I kind of assumed going in that the instructors might be partial to 1 of the exercises more then others but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! When you are on the spin section of class you really will feel like you are in a spin class, same for Barre. The one part that I think could use some more improvement is weights. I feel like you never truly transition from barre type movements even though you do have the option to incorporate small hand weights. The main limiting factor of this is the small space they have to work with. I think if they one day move to a larger studio that they could incorporate a wider variety of weighted exercise that transition away from typical Barre movements. Overall I think its a great workout and competitively priced to the other studios around town. I'd recommend any woman try it just to shake up your normal routine a bit!

Barckground: When it comes to fitness, I've done it all....I've done the traditional gym route... free weights, and loooots of cardio. Heck, I've even been a personal trainer before. I've done the home workout thing... p90X, barre workouts, good stuff. I've even done CrossFit... loved it. Whereas I've enjoyed many aspects of all the aforementioned types of exercise, I've never done type of exercise that I like so well as I do Pilates, and more particularly Pilates at Studio G. Studio G specializes in classical Pilates in individual or small group setting. Genevieve, and her team have done a phenomenal job of creating a warm and welcoming vibe in the Studio where people of all fitness levels feel at home. I find it sad that one often encounters a snobby attitude towards out-of-shape people at gyms and fitness studios. Trust me, you will not encounter that type of attitude here. Positive vibes only!! If you're looking to get back in shape, like I was, or, if you're an exercise fiend and you'd like to take your workouts to the next level, I assure you, Studio G has you covered! Pilates is very scalable to practically all level of fitness. All of the instructors are highly skilled and each bring their own unique strengths and personalities to the workouts. There's a nice front room with a couch an ottomans to sit on while you wait for your lesson and 3 separate rooms with various types of Pilates equipment. There's also a dedicated room for active isolated stretching and myofascial release...another great offering from the Studio! As a client, I appreciate that all of the instructors are required to pass a very rigorous and lengthy training course before they can instruct at Studio G. The level of training really translates into great workouts for the client. The instructors are very adept at diagnosing how the client can improve their form etc for maximum benefit. You really get your money's worth. In addition to the initial training, the instructors often attend seminars to hone their expertise and expand their knowledge base. I also love the focus of the mind body connection in Pilates. It's easy to get caught up in the chaos of our fast paced lives. Pilates is a great way to disconnect from the stressful state so many of us live in, reconnect with our bodies, and renew our minds. Pilates requires intense concentration to properly execute the movements from our center (core) with control, precision, and flow, all while incorporating deep breathing to power and fuel the movement. To me, Pilates is in an exercise league of its own - An exercise program that focuses on mind, body and spirit, that's capable of meeting the beginner no matter where their starting point is, but also very capable of challenging even the fittest amount us. From the moment I walked in, I was made to feel genuinely welcome and supported. The classes are challenging in the best way and have really helped me build strength and conditioning. There's a great variety of people in each session, which makes the atmosphere motivating but never intimidating. Whether you're completely new or more experienced, you feel like you belong. The instructors are patient, knowledgeable, and take the time to make sure everyone understands the techniques. They're great at offering modifications when needed and really focus on proper form, which I appreciate. The gym space itself is always clean, tidy, and well-organized, and the energy in the room is consistently positive. It's clear that a lot of care goes into both the coaching and the environment. If you're thinking about trying something new or pushing yourself in a supportive setting, I can't recommend this place enough. Five stars all the way!
