We felt so welcomed and I can tell the staffs are so proud of their studio and she even tell us to come back for another complimentary class as a first timer even after we used our passport this time! The waiting area though small but very intimate... and nicely decorated. Hot Yoga Aurora though small in size.. only 1 practice room.. but not small in amenities! The best equipped studio I been too: - 2 showers, 2 hairdryers - shampoos, conditioners, shower gel, body lotions - hair gel, hairspray, hair clips, hair ties - even tampons! :) - little lockers with keys for your valuables - cold filtered water to fill up your water bottles - hot water if you want to make a cup of tea with their tea bags - mats if you need one - cut up mats in the class as cushions for your knees They also has hot pilates classes using Pilate balls... that must be a great core strengthening class! I would have give this place more star but I was a little disappointed with my instructor.. she seemed to be a little unorganized and since it is only a 75 min class, she did not really have a lesson plan so we did not work on inversions and did not really stretch before the end of class because we ran out of time! After the balancing poses, she suddenly said time for Savasana?? I will be back for another class and hopefully I will have a different yoga practice experience as I think it is definitely an important aspect to rate a yoga studio!

Everything that a Yoga studio should be!…read more I absolutely LOVED my experience here. This studio is a small location set in a cute little plaza in Aurora. When you first walk in, shoes are lined up trustingly in the front hall, making you feel like you have arrived home. The lady at the front desk told me a little bit about what the studio offers and then told me unfortunately I could not meet the owner- as she was in India to continue her learning from yoga experts. Well, I was pretty sold on their qualifications after that. On to the tour: The interior is so quaint and cozy you cant help but feel anything but relaxed and welcome. The change room is small but well set up, with folding partitions, and a separate bathroom and shower room. All the bells and whistles a woman might need are available- from tampons to lotion to hairspray. Outside the change room there are FREE(!!) lockers, where you can leave your valuables and take a key. Easy to remember which locker you used too- as each one is identified with an enlightening label such as "dream" or "believe". There are cold and warm water dispensers, and even various teas to try (I must admit, the tea option really excited me). There are three studios here, one for hot classes, and the others for general classes. The class: I did not actually take a hot yoga class, but instead opted for the Power Pilates with Weights. The room was small, could fit about 10-12 people. The class itself was awesome, definitely a great work out and the instructor was fairly good at providing options for beginners to advanced. What really sets this place apart is the sense of camaraderie here. Everyone seems to know each other and are laughing and joking in the halls, and chatting softly before classes begin. As a new student everyone was so helpful and welcoming, I really couldn't believe it. Nothing like the cold -no eye contact, earphones in at all times- gyms that I'm used to.

You get to try out different instructors and a variety of classes (Moksha Flow, Moksha Music, Vinyasa Flow, Hatha, Barre, Restorative, just to name a few!) Karma class is offered on every Friday night... by donations of $10 cash only. Funds go to local charities each month. Great for non-members who just want to drop-in! Even if you are a member with passes, you are still require to pay... for a good cause, why not? :) First couple of yoga classes was with the Moksha instructor, Jessica D. Absolutely enjoyed her classes, and she has a beautiful and mesmerising singing voice ^_^ Can't wait to check out more classes during this summer month! There's lots of parking at this place, and the heated room is MASSIVE! No need to stress about parking and rushing for 15mins early to get your favourite spot. The change room isn't as modern, but it's clean! They have a filtered tap by the sink. The one at Birchmount is a fancy filter! They have many many lockers. However, BYOL - bring your own lock! As an adult who used to love working out and recently decided to get back into it, I was genuinely…read moreexcited to join a gym and get back into a routine. I thought I had done my research before choosing LA Fitness, but I was completely wrong. Unfortunately, this has been one of the most disappointing experiences I have had with a gym. I only went four times after joining -- yes, it was that bad. The gym is constantly overcrowded. You wait for machines not just during peak hours, but all the time. Members are often more interested in socializing than actually working out. They sit on machines chatting for long periods, and when you politely ask to jump in, you are met with glares or treated like you are interrupting something sacred. It is incredibly uncomfortable and discouraging for someone genuinely trying to work out. Some areas, especially in the cardio section, smell unpleasant, and several machines are often broken or poorly maintained. I eventually gave up on trying to get a proper workout and decided to use the sauna instead -- but that was no better. Every time I went in, there were women talking loudly on their phones, shaving, or even using the hot stones to dry their clothes. I honestly could not believe it. It was completely inappropriate and unsanitary. The showers were equally disappointing -- clogged drains full of hair, empty shampoo bottles left behind, used razors on the floor. I know the gym cannot control every member's behavior, but there are clearly no enforced standards or accountability. When you overfill a gym with no structure or cleanliness standards, this is what you get. To top it all off, I noticed that several members smoke right outside the entrance. Walking through a cloud of smoke on your way into a fitness facility is something I truly did not expect. And when you try to cancel? You are billed for an additional month, even if you do not plan on returning. No flexibility, no consideration. All in all, if you are looking for a serious, clean, and respectful environment to work out in -- and perhaps unwind in the sauna or shower -- this is not the place. This experience has been extremely disappointing from start to finish
