I had always…read morewanted to visit here, having listened to a lot of their curated stuff online, and I finally got the chance on a recent trip to London. Finding the Ministry is easy; all the entrances and lines are clearly marked outside. We had purchased tickets online, and we entered incredibly quickly as a result. Once inside, it is a massive area. The Gallery, the area you enter into, was playing house music and had a huge bar. The Box, where the artists were performing their sets, was clearly marked. The Box had arguably the best soundsystem I've ever experienced at a club, no exaggeration. I think their dedication to this endeavor shows. The bass is booming, the sound is clear, and there are plenty of lighting and smoke effects. We had a great time in here, but don't expect to hold a conversation - this is a room purely for the music. And boy is it something to behold. A smaller room was the baby box, and this played primarily remixes of pop songs with EDM mixes. We spent a LOT of time here. Very fun, not very crowded. Drinks were good and reasonably priced. (Though I'm American so I'm not sure what the standard is.) Obtaining an Uber after was easy and the location is very easily found. Overall, I definitely want to return in the future.

The lounge room upstairs was so crowded that you could not access it at all during the night. All of the music was EDM, which after being there for hours was mind numbing, with no break. The bar felt safe for the most part, metal detector and searches to get in, lots of security in the building. They have a few VIP options with seating in the main bar area and VIP upstairs. Drinks were reasonably priced. The crowd is slightly young, I would say predominately 18-21. I would recommend not showing up until 12, we showed up around 11 and the club was dead. The main artist (Dillon Francis) did not even start until 3am which I found to be way too late. Overall, cool experience while visiting London but couldn't need to return. Main floor is accessible, top floor there are stairs to access 1 room and VIP area.

The club nights that reside there are dubstep groundbreakers Platform 1, Garage neeks Night Slugs and more. The space is amazing when your walking through the place you will see random bits of art which cathes your eye instantly. The crowd you get there is more the arty crowd what you'd expect from an art studio really. Just the whole vibe of the place is really cool and i enjoyed myself when i went there recently, it was for a dubstep and garage club night with acts Macabre Unit and more and it was a great night and i think that was partly due to the venue to be honest.

Situated down a…read moredodgy side street in dodgy Elephant & Castle I expected to see people with eyes as big as saucers mumbling to themselves outside. My trip down memory lane included wanting to see barely coherent, incarnations of Bambi trying to stand on the dance floor as an imitation of dance. In truth I saw neither of these things. The clubbing scene has grown up over the years. This venue is a trussed up warehouse fitted with one bar that services two rooms. The atmosphere will always be intimate as the place is not huge. With a decent outside space fitted with a Corona bar, Corsica Studios is spacious enough to be able to wander the white walkways to escape the phenomenally heavy bass lines to catch your breathe. The sound system is breath taking if you situate yourself in front of a speaker. I spent most of my night there, ensuring cheap thrills from the massive reverbs. I like this venue, not because it is any thing special, but because it is a happy symbol of my underground rave past.

Just transport yourself to the Lightbox for the same effect, but a less attractive collective of backing dancers. I was here for a themed 'Malice in Wonderland' fetish party called Club Rub, a night that made my work colleague belly laugh for a full 20 minutes due to that cunning alliteration. It was kinda like a softcore Torture Garden, although actually I saw some fairly hardcore 'activities' which cannot be repeated within the confines of this text box. I would say the bathrooms are cleaner than average though, and if you're lucky you may even be serenaded by compliments/gestures from a gorgeous girl or two! Cryptic enough? Job done. The room is really very cool - the lights and smoke machine give a very unique effect and the smoke filled the room which didn't make it seem quite so empty. Despite the lack of people, the music was good and the atmosphere was quite nice, so it was a fun night. The drinks were overpriced for a student night which was very disappointing. I found the bouncers very nice, not as aggro as many can be, they had a casual chat with me and my friends, weren't rude at all. What I found bizarre was that Lightbox don't allow you to take pens in. A strange thing to be upset about but I had come with a work bag which had a lot of stationary in, which had to be confiscated. A bit of a shame! Regardless, I will definitely be visiting again.

Its definitely more of an electronic music club venue now days. Beginning late 2012 Fire has had some amazing house & tech house DJs for their In Session nights. Other promoters and record companies also host some parties here (like UK bass, dubstep, dnb, etc). There is one main room (with amazing lasers, ceiling LED, side elevated railing space, bar in the back and an upper layer in the very back, above coat check, with couches and separate bar), and two smaller side rooms to each side with large bar and toilets. In general, its not that hot in there. The security here is always quite strict. They give you intimate pat-downs and close examinations of everything (out of your pocket and bag).

The crowd did vary throughout the night however and early hours in the morning more groups of 'Lads' appeared to begin with. We had an awesome night there recently. We thoroughly enjoyed being able to dance the night away and not get hassled by annoying men!
