It wasn't until I read the reviews on Yelp that I realised what I'd been missing, so we booked a table and made a special trip down there for lunch today. First impressions - we were the only people there and the chef came out of the kitchen to meet us, which didn't bode well I thought. The decor is unassuming and definitely a 'work in progress', but it is clear that they have already put a great deal of effort into getting the place functioning. The bar is near the entrance and there's a line of tables along the window wall, with a larger central area that looks like it could double as a dance floor, and finally there's a stage area at the far end. It all looks delightfully 'hand-knitted' and I loved it immediately. Once the owner returned from upstairs and realised that we were his booking, things picked up. In short order some music was played, menus appeared, and soon we were tucking in to the first of our tapas. As neither of us are carnivores, we picked fishy choices, olives, tortilla, and some papas arrugadas. The boquerones (anchovies) and olives were the first to arrive, and we both wolfed them down like the ravenous dogs we were. Delicious. Then came the tortilla and papas arrugadas. The tortilla is definitely something special, and I wished I'd ordered two portions, it was so tasty. The papas arrugadas turned out to be baby new potatoes with a separate dish of pepper sauce and another of coriander sauce. A fantastic combination of tastes, and the pepper sauce was just right - not too hot at all. Finally, the boquerones frito (whitebait) and the calamares a la romana appeared. The menu jokingly describes the whitebait as 'fishchips', but actually that's a great description of them. They're crispy and full of flavour - yum! I'm not generally a great fan of tapas as a primary meal choice, as I always feel that they're more of an appetizer option whilst sitting at the bar with a drink; but I might be won over by this place. The portions aren't huge, but with the 3 for £9 special offer, it's pretty good value. I will definitely return when the place is a bit more lively and they have some entertainment on. They may not be in a prime location, but it's definitely worth making the pilgrimage to this place. But let's not tell everyone about it - we don't want it to become too popular. Let's just keep it between ourselves, OK?

What can I say bar the fact that this was a real fun night , great staff , food and music . Linda Jaxson is a real character and was on stage with a new band . She entertained us the whole evening and the crowd really appreciated it . Staff were not flustered by the influx of clients and managed to keep everyone fed and watered throughout the night . There is a good entertainment programme here including salsa and tango classes so get your glad rags on and come down and dance.

For £70 (£55) you get a months "passport" which means you can go to as many classes as you like and dance your socks off. You can also get "passports" for a period of 3, 6 or 12 months.

There were also a few lonely social miisfits and a contingent of bitter, hateful single women in their early 30s, whose excessive white wine consumption didn't really do much for their chances of meeting Mr Right, or even Mr Desperate. With about 10 different types of dance class on, including salsa and other lusty latino-themed varieties, any amateur sociologists among you could have a field day in here.

Cineworld in town: faaaaaar too busy, I had the misfortune of going one Wednesday night (clementine special pass day) and was virtually in a different postcode when I joined the queue. Also it's rather pricey. Odeon at the Quay: this place is dirty and smelly, and what's with the seat upgrade thing? What they really mean is you can pay an additional surcharge not to have to sit on some kind of medieval bottom torture device. Rubbish. GFT: understandably the film lovers choice, and its independent status and classic style is certainly worth a great deal. It's my second favourite cinema, but egad, if it isn't the most middle class, pompous place sometimes. Have you ever been there to see any smarmy, self important, clever-clever, foreign language comedies there? I have, and the self-satisfied smirking of my fellow cinema goers almost had me throwing my popcorn (that's if they sold such crass sub-bourgeois commodities as popcorn). And so, the Empire in Clydebank. Quite far from home, yes. Limited to only mainstream blockbuster releases, yes that too. Dirty with every surface permacoated in a greasy film, yes, also the case. The threat of casual violence consistently in the air, alas also a fair point. But whenever I've been it's been damn cheap, utterly dead (I've rarely queued for a ticket there) and without incident. There was that time during the second Matrix film that a massive fight broke out behind me, but we were given free tickets to a future film showing of our choice. At least I think that was the reason. Maybe they were so ashamed about the utter absence of any redeeming features offered by second Matrix film that they felt they had to give something back. Also, near ASDA if you need some milk before hometime.

My mum took her grandson to a viewing of Jumanji on Saturday she is 76 years old there for…read morepensioner price 6-50 . my nephew kids price 6-50 . the guy serving her spoke to his colleague the whole transaction not listening properly. my mum said he was talking bout going out that night and what he was gonna get up to. it wasn't until she got home that she realised she had been charged 8-50 instead of 6-50.(his lack of customer service had angered her a bit) she couldnt go back until Monday and spoke to a girl who got manager, the manager was rude and blunt and waved a hand in my mums face saying she should have dealt with it on Saturday and walked away from my mum .she threw her receipt away in frustration. I emailed company got no response and expressed my frustration on social media (in a polite way) I got a reply saying they will look in to it. and basically got same response as my mum did. no mention about the guy not doing his job right or how abrupt the manager was.( I wonder if she would have been that abrupt had it been a younger woman or a large man )( I think not !!) anyways will never set foot in an empire cinema again I have a staff night out next month and 33 of us are going to see A Quiet Place 2 we are going to odeon cinema to see it . hope this helps.

Having not played since I was in primary school (I guess I would have been 9 years old) I was still…read morevery much up for a game. We briefly debated which of Glasgow's laser tag places to visit before being steered towards the one in Clydebank by recommendations from someone's much younger sibling. The laser tag place is called Planet Lazer. So, y'know, nil points for naming. However, they run a mean laser tag place. They're part of a larger complex that also does go-karting. There's a a little cafe inside where you can get drinks and snacks, or wait to meet people, a few arcade style games and, most importantly, the laser tag room (arena?) We each paid £9 for two games, each game lasting 20 minutes, which felt about the right length of time. It's surprisingly tiring and I was glad to hear we had a 20 minute break between our two sessions, while another group took a turn. It's a lot of fun, and at least with our group seemed to feature a lot of screaming, giggle and personal vendettas. We've all agreed that we want to go back soon, so I guess you can call that a success.

I can't thank them enough a bunch of really nice staff and a great place to take the kids (and bigger kids) once again thanks especially to AIDEN for going the extra mile for my son oh brilliant value for money too with affordable prices

First-Hand Experience: More info about my personal experience at this stadium - This was one of those stadiums I dragged my Dad to when I was a kid, and he was driving us around Scotland looking for Lochs and monsters in his BMW. Actually, we had friends just outside Clydebank, so after Dad allowed me to stop here for all of 5 mins, I had his friend's son (who was probably around 18) bring me back here and even took me inside. It was a really great memory. We played "tag" on the terraces (I think he let me win) and totally trespassed. I remember thinking the place looked a bit more like a building site. I give it 3 for the memories but I am not surprised at all that it was demolished because it was a death trap. *** return to regular review *** From 1939 to 1996 this was the home of the Clydebank football team, who then ceased to exist and are sorely missed. I won't create a Yelp listing for them, but hopefully they'll come back to life someday and I can put them on the map then. I have visited this place but never saw Clydebank play so it wouldn't be good to review them maybe. It once had 15k fans but usually had 10k. Kilbowie was the first all seater stadium in the UK. The current incarnation of the team is a junior team. The senior team no longer exists. The museum in Hampden Park has some of the rubble of the stadium on display. Vico Properties bought the land, bulldozed the stadium and turned it into the Kilbowie Retail Park.
