Parking isn't great but there are three car parks just round the corner, and a wee walk never did anyone any harm! The only thing I would say is wrong with it, is that there isn't much matural light inside, which makes an already fairly small place feel even smaller. On the grand scheme of things, however, I think that might not be much of an issue!

I had some business I needed to take care of at the bank, and instead of heading all the way to…read morePartick where I usually do my banking, I decided that since I was in the area, I'd stop in here. This branch seems to be less busy when I go in, compared to the Partick branch which always has a line out the door. Since changing over to TSB a while back, the whole inside of this place has had an overhaul and is bright and airy with loads of blue and white in the ads. I've never had a problem at any of the branches, TSB really has been the best bank I've ever banked with (American banks included) and I would recommend them to anyone! The staff have always been helpful and if you need to call in to their help line, again, the phone staff is always helpful and get you off and running. Bravo TSB for being the bank I count on!

It's often particularly busy (always good) but seems to have the slowest customers in the world; pensioners, yummy mummy's with their screeching kids and people incapable of understanding the dynamics of queueing or able to complete their request slip BEFORE reaching the service counter. Perhaps, as a consequence of the catering to the slowest customers in the banking world, the staff have followed suit. As the staff are also unbelievably slow and lacking friendliness. However, if you are a Lloyds customer - like me - and in fairly urgent need of banking services then it's worth while utilising the most convenient branch.

These days they usually have two desks open and one additional member of staff working through the line of people to see if anyone could use the automatic paying in machine to avoid keeping a desk busy. Staff don't always know what to do with less common banking requests (for example, when account types change) but they can usually find you an advisor who does know what they're doing, or can make you an appointment if necessary. Unfortunately the process for making such appointments is pretty slow, otherwise I'd be inclined to give an extra star. Providing comfy seats and tablets for online banking is a nice touch. There are a few ATM's in here as well which I like, opting for an indoor cash withdrawal wherever possible (I watch the news too much to trust people). This impressively big branch is open till 6, queues move quickly, and HBOS let me have an interest free overdraft when they could have been charging me for it. Even their telephone banking is good, as you're never kept waiting long at all. One word of warning at this branch especially. If you're male, you WILL find that in here a short skirted girl will try and sell you insurance or a credit card. If you're a girl you'll probably find a chisel-jawed male worker giving you the same spiel. They're not pushy or anything though, so it barely even registers as an annoyance.

However, there are usually staff on hand to direct you to the right place if you look a bit lost. The indoor cash machine is handy when it's (or when there's a long queue of people outside). For other things I've always been served fairly quickly and the staff are very helpful and friendly. I suspect that there can be a bit of a wait at peak times but so far I've found it better than branches of other banks I've used on Byres Road.
