My first time there, so give me a break, hey I only wanted petrol (well chocolate too) and had been told it was 'right around the back'. Ok, I understnd that instruction. But it evaporates when, as a newcomer, you enter the entrance of the car park. Where the heck is the back? I'd missed the sign of course, so I tootled round and about, and saw a chap in a reflector jacket, I asked him the way. He made sense, was insructive and clear, until I got to the corner he told me about. Hmmm, what's the worst that could happen? I kept going and finally actually saw a sign, just as I clocked the petrol station. The staff were very friendly indeed, and amused at the quantity of chocolate I bought. Alas, I still need to sponge my skirt as most of it melted on my lap.

My problem is always (and wherever I am) not being able to find my car when I finish shopping! Not funny when it's a freezing winter's night and one is having a youthful incontinence moment!!!!! The selection of fresh fruit and veg, fish and meat (everything really) in Tescos is brilliant and it is very hard to drag me away from the chocolate aisle! I am a Cadburys Dairty Milkaholic and it has to be the largest possible bar available! I get severe withdrawal symptoms when I detox ocassionally due to the jeans waiste tightening feeling!!! When going through one of these periods I linger for many minutes at a time just looking at the chocolate on the shelf and willing myself not to put any in my trolley!!! A couple of weeks of this and the cravings disappear! I can spend hours in Tesco just looking, wishing to buy and thinking can I or can I not afford (clothes, books, shoes, bags, electrical goods, toys, games, kitchen ware, paint, DIY, the lot)! You name it Tesco has it! It's clean and staff are helpful plus usually share a joke with you, which always makes a day feel even better! I also have 2 lovely large cloth green bags but unfortunately I keep leaving them at home or, when I put them in the boot of my car I forget to take them out before going into the store! Is this an age things I wonder! Probably more honest to say I've always been a bit of an eejit!!! I do love you Tesco! Thumbs up!

Massive, impressive, spacious, huge selection, great prices…read more I'm not a fan of shopping, particularly supermarket shopping, & especially of discounting supermarkets who's quality I always question. But when I first visited this store, I was very impressed. The store almost seems too big for the number of customers, there always seems to be plenty of room to get around. The selection of non-food products is extensive, although I still am very choosy about what I buy, & closly inspect the quality of items (particularly clothing). I get the impression that this store isn't as busy as it's size requires it to be, so there seems to be a higher percentage of discount/clearance lines. We've used this store for christmas shopping over the last two years, & I truly believe we've got excellent value for money.

There is also a tesco's café outside and a costa nearby. There is plenty of free parking although I believe it is a crime hotspot so take all your valuables with you and do not leave them in sight. There are also a number of other shops nearby, including boots, M&S and Mothercare. This is a great place to do your week's shopping, but very big if you just wanted to pop in - make sure you know where what you want is!

It was the Kayser Bondor until the 1980's when it was bought by Tesco. Kayser Bondor made ladies stockings - but switched to making parachutes during World War II. As it is an Extra, it stocks everything from TV's to toothpaste, so everything you need is under one roof. The car park is large (and needs to be as it does get busy), and the store also contains a petrol garage.

Now seeing as this is an amped up Wal-Mart, you can safely assume they have anything and everything here. I bought many groceries here, but they also had clothes, adapters for my tourist self, makeup and personal care items, liquor, magazines & books, tons of electronics and related items, home goods items, baby items, gifts & the cards to go with them, and toys. Plus I saw offers of cell phones & plans at checkout, seems they also have check cashing and other currency services. I personally used their ATM located just outside the doors millions of times to get some dinero. I found all the prices to be reasonable and workers were always quite friendly to me. They have a nice self checkout! Definitely my go to shopping spot while in Milton Keynes and I know I'll have many more visits when I return later this year. It…read moresells a massive range of the usual food and drink, but it also sells luggage, magazines, gardening items, clothes and has a huge toys and games section and a huge electrical section too which is as big as a shop itself. The electrical section sells everything from ipods to TVs and all household things such as toasters and kettles.The prices are really good too. I did experience a really long wait once when I was trying to purchase an electrical item as they couldn't find the one I wanted in the warehouse. It does get really busy in this branch and the checkouts always have queues, but they do their best and most of the checkouts are usually open along with the self service ones. There is free parking at Weston Favell centre so you don't need to worry about how long you spend in there either.
