There is an excellent fish counter, great produce including extensive organic selections, a good deli counter and an in-store bakery. We shop here regularly, looking out especially for the red-stickered items to get the best deals. For local colour, watch out for the ever-cheerful Pat on their staff, who you'll spot chuckling and singing as she helps customers each day

Godshill Cider barn is one of the best stop offs for souveneirs in Godshill - Besides the huge…read morenumber of locally brewed beers, ciders and perrys, it also has a large collection of local jams and chutneys which are particularly good. The sweet apple chutney is particularly great, especially with a bit of gorgonzola! The ciders come in great souveneir containers, the contents of which may blow some peoples heads off. The local beers are also lovely, including a local ginger beer which my mum said was great. Also available are some nice sweet treats such as sticks of rock, fudge, toffee, and all your typical holiday bring - back sweets. The toffee comes highly recommended, as the does the variety pack of fudge. Something else my mum adores. Despite being a bit more expensive than the average souvenir stop off, it's has some really wonderful items your mates will really appreciate. All drinks and jams and every other product is of great quality and firmly cements godshill cider barns reputation as being one of the best on the island. For some great treats for you and your friends, I'd definitely give this place a visit.

I have been in there and felt as though they couldn't wait for me to leave and was served by a lady with a permanent scowl on her face. I've heard other people say the same thing. I lived nearby for 6-7 months and came across a lot of people who found the place to be unfriendly, particularly in the off-peak months. The last time I went to buy some souvenirs for when I left the Island for good, I could hardly get away because they were so chatty. In that respect, it's a bit hit and miss but if you're looking for some nice edible souvenirs then this is a good place to have a nosey around.
