This is quite a big Morrisons with in the town centre with its own car park, it is pay and display…read moreunless you spend a certain amount in morrisons, then it is free (or it used to be) There is a great selection of food, toiletries, beers and spirits and they have also a great range of gifts and dvds, cds. There is a cafe onsite which serves great hot food, the food is quite cheap as well. There is also a pharmacy at the top of the store together with an instore bakery and deli counter. The store is clean and the staff are very helpful and the toilets are clean and checked regularly by the staff.

Good people skills here and it is good value for money. Would recommend for good value nice things.

Obviously the prices aren't brilliant and you'd get much better value for your money at the larger chains but it's still a nice atmosphere to do a bit of grocery shopping in. Being at the heart of the Saffron Lane estate, everybody knows each other and you're always greeted with a friendly smile and chat when you're shopping. The shop is a lot cleaner than it used to be and has really branched out selling magazines and a lot more frozen products than it used to. The only downside is that they have no trollies if you're intending to do a larger shop and I always notice that the bread seems a bit battered everytime I go in. They do however have the most amazing fresh pasties at their fresh produce counter.

However, I shopped here on the 29/9/2024, spending a total of around £120 (our normal amount), only to receive a parking notice yesterday for £85 for staying over a time limit. Now I have a few problems with this: 1) Punishing customers who spend a lot of money at your store is daft. 2) Most stores have a 3 hour limit, not a 2 hour limit. (This can be seen at the ASDA up the road) 3) Customer Services fobbed me off this morning when I went in to ask for help with it, saying there is nothing they can do, I have to talk to Euro Car Parks. (I know this is not the case, as I previously worked for Sainsbury's, as a customer service manager who had to manage these issues regularly. It is a case of Sainsbury's liaising with Euro Car Parks, a simple email). So I also feel like I have been lied to. As it happens I had a little shopping to do today, but at the point blank refusal to help, I took my custom up the road to ASDA. Furthermore, the same will be the case at the weekend when I need to do the full shop, and this will remain the case, unless something is able to be sorted. So well done, I guess.

It is situated on Butterly Park next to mcdonalds and tabletable. It is just out of Ripley town and has good access routes to surrounding areas.

A nice largish Sainsbury's with quality helpful staff…read more I like sainsburys as you can usually get slightly nicer things than the other supermarkets (Waitrose asdie). The staff here are areally a cut above and this makes a difference. I prefer this shop to others that are closer and cheaper.
