This one does have 2 levels, and you can take the lift (elevator) or the escaltors escalators. The escalator going down wasn't working the times I've been, but just walk down anyway. They have cashiers for check out as well as self check-out lanes. Prices here are awesome! I'm a huge fan of their bakery bread and the snacks. Their sparkling water game is pretty strong, too. Don't be shocked if I check in here again, lol!

The Liverpool One branch of Superstore is not actually the most super I have come across in Liverpool as there is one in Litherland which is gargantuan in comparison. However, Liverpool One Tesco is certainly what the town needs. You still have plenty of choice here, a variety of sections such as deli, clothes and international foods to keep you adding more to your basket! I find this place more of a relaxing and enjoyable shopping experience as opposed to the Metro version by the big screen, because its more spacious and offers an abundance of products. The location isn't great if you're driving there as it'll cost you pounds to park somewhere nearby but certainly convenient when you have other chores to do around town.

Driving on the left hand side is not something to choose easily....I have only done it once before in 1982 in Jamaica and it was fine because I was incredibly young and the roads were less travelled back then but it's hard to change. When we arrived at the York train station we had some time to wait so Joe said " Go check out the Booths" I already knew this is a grocery store chain in England and had seen it before But I was blown away at this one and was surprised to find it at the Windermere train station. I didn't quite understand and then one day, I saw it. Just a few yards from my dorm room. It is like a liquor, supermarket and wal-mart all condensed into a compact corner convenient store. The only thing was that they couldn't quite understand me when I asked for 'aluminum foil' because you have to say 'aluminium.' When I would run out of vodka, luncheon meat, gravy granules, tea and crumpets, frozen pizzas for 99 pence, or even fried chicken to get me through the cold, grueling days of studying, this Spar came to the rescue, everytime. I only have fond memories of this lifesaver. Oh yea, and they have instant ramen and siracha sauce too! What a relief!

As well as food, there's a massive clothing section which actually has some nice stuff, a huge electrical section and lots of kitchenware. It feels like somewhere you could do a massive home shop. To suit it's size there are lots of checkouts and always lots of staff so even at the busiest times you're not waiting too long to get served.
