I use the chemist section quite a bit for prescriptions and there is a good value service where they order and pick up your prescription for you. The rest of the store is split into the usual sections, the one bit i do find slightly disappointing is the three for two offer section, especially at this time of year when the hristmas offers are on. The two tills at the front can get quite a few people queuing and people often use the perfume counters. The staff are quite good at giving advice on products as well.

I like it because it is spacious and as well as selling medicines, they do cosmetics, baby clothes, gifts, skincare, haircare and a whole host of other merchandise. They also had quite a good Christmas section, which has now gone into the sale. There are a main bank of tills at the front, and as I have only visited in the week, there generally weren't any queues. Although I did have to wait when I needed advice about medicines. Some items are a little on the expensive side and I found the same type of products cheaper in Tesco next door. Another benefit of going there is that you can use your Advantage card. This is a loyalty card where you build up point when you spend and can redeem them later on for goods. Parking can be tricky as it is a very busy retail park generally.

The pharmacist is himself very knowledgeable and seeking his advice can often mean you don't actually need a visit to the doctor. There also are several useful leaflets about many minor ailments. However, Medicare Chemist is more than just a very good pharmacy; they also stock various beauty products, all your bath and shower essentials and a nice range of small gifts.

Maxwells Pharmacy is situated on the main drag of shops on Bury road in Breightmet…read more Inside there's a convenient and thoughtful seated area of two or three seats backing on to the window with a flat screen wall mounted tv facing you and plenty of room to negotiate your way in and out with buggies etc. They have two main aisles with the usual toiletries/cosmetics/infant care items etc and the main counter and pharmacy at the bottom. The staff are always pleasant, friendly and efficient and often if you're sat down waiting they will bring your prescriptions out to you. Great service.

But it so much more than a pharmacy in here. God that sounded cheesy but trust me. This is a really fun place to shop for health supplements, toiletries and accessories. The space is really modern and well laid out and the staff are mega friendly. In terms of the health aspect (yawn I know but gotta talk about it no matter how much its horrible to think about various reasons you need to be here), there are now more consultation and treatment rooms. Compared to their old location in the "tin hut" in the OLOG car park, it is positively state of the art - indeed this is how they boast about it.

There are lots of babies clothes and toys at the back of the shop. This store has its own No7 counter and the women on here are so friendly and helpful. I saw one of them helping a little old lady choose some foundation, it was so sweet. There are a few tills so the queues aren't too long. There is also the pharmacy section at the side for collecting prescriptions. Very handy right in the town centre.

As well as providing the…read moremedication you need, the pharmacist is available to offer advice for any health concerns, alongside health and prescription checks. Help is also available for those who wish to give up smoking, or reduce their weight, chlosterol, etc. The pharmacy also sells a limited range of other goods; such as hair dyes, make-up, nappies and other accessories. The service is much nicer than that of a supermarket and for many people it is easier than having to go to larger stores or supermarkets in town centres in order to get their medication. Of course, for many people there is also the option of phamacy collection for their prescription and delivery may well be available too, which is handy for those who work, are disabled or elderly.

Rarely have my order ready on time, constantly mix different brands even though they know I cannot…read morehave a mix, ask if I am paying or not but fail to detail the need for a card slip for Universal Credit refunds which they are supposed to do so when I try to claim they refuse. Challenge them on it and confronted by not 1 not even 2 but 3 members of staff as a group raising their voice above yours before their manager will even get involved...then boom 1 month later a sudden claim that they cannot get Nuerontin as it is now banned because of cost...even though it is NHS that pay for it. They have more buying power than independent pharmacies yet the 1st independent pharmacy I checked with does indeed sell Nuerontin. Not only that but 3 months on they are still mixing brands by including a couple trays or so of guess what...Nuerontin!!! Prior to my altercation with staff this was a none issue. Strange that.
