The downstairs features a perfume counter and photo printing centre and kiosk, as well as removeable memory, (such as SD cards), which are very costly compared to what they can be bought for online. This Boots does not feature a opticians centre, and is nowhere near as big as the Boots in the Royals shopping centre. The biggest down -side to it is the prices. While obviously they need to make a profit to survive it is significantly more than prices in town. This strikes me as taking advantage of the mainly financially challenged people who are the locals, who only shop there for emergencies e.g. running out of baby formula. Also some stock is quite old and dusty. However the staff are very friendly and helpful , and deal with all sorts of people with respect

It is conviniently located in kestrel and there are ample parking spaces nearby. They remain closed from 1-2 pm which can be a pain at times if you forget. The staff are always very polite and help everybody with the prescriptions and with anything at all which needs their attention, including going over very slowly and several times over the small details on the prescription with their elderly customers. The place is always very neatly arranged .The only drawback is that the doors are swing-shut heavy doors which are difficult to manouver with a buggy or if you have a wheelchair.
