No different to any other chemist really and what you find here is what you would expect to see in…read moreother chemists. I haven't brought anything from here but I have been in here a couple of times. If you wanted to you can have your prescription delivered to your home but to be honest you would be better off coming here and pick up your prescription. From medicines to deodorants to nappies, these are some of things you can purchase from P.J. Ingram Chemist. I did find the deodorants on sale here to be expensive and that was only for one bottle. And because of this I have gone elsewhere to buy deodorant. Hair products were also pricey which has led to me going somewhere else to buy hair gels/cream. Staff working here are knowledgeable about the products on sale and are very friendly towards customers. Not a bad chemist in my view.

Now, Birmingham... Let's talk Health. I have reviewed my Dentist and my Doctor, but there are a…read morehost of other places in Birmingham which are striving to keep us fighting fit. For my services which are not teeth related, I use the multiple places in Boots. Boots (as you will already know) is a chain pharmacy and beauty store - available in train stations, city centres and most places where you may need to grab a pack of paracetamol or some plasters. This boots, however, offers a whole host of other services you may need for a range of health needs. Upstairs are your beauty counters, hygiene products and gifts (the discount on gifts after christmas is particularly good - offering 50% - 70% off), but on the lower floor are it's other services. If you pop on the escalators and head downstairs you'll find an optician, an NHS walk-in, a doctors surgery, Birmingham Uni dentists and a sexual health clinic. With the doctors surgery and dentist, you will need an appointment. The optician will see walk-ins (depending on how busy they are) and the sexual health clinic and NHS centre are totally walk-in led. This, obviously, can lead to long waiting times - but if you desperately need a doctor and can't get an appointment at your local clinic, this place is a lifesaver (probably quite literally). As well as the various medical services I have mentioned, Boots offers a "stop smoking" clinic and other health led initiatives. When I first moved into Birmingham City Centre I had no idea where my local health services would be (I was dreading having to catch a bus out of town), so for all of those who work or live in the City - this place is your one stop shop for when you're feeling off or need some supplies.

There's also the more seasonal items. Currently there are sunglasses and lotions located towards the back of the store. It's never been overly busy when i've been there even at 5pm on a weekday which is perfect if you want to spend a bit more time browsing. The meal deal is a good price (£3.49 at last check) and it includes a sandwich/wrap, a drink and a snack (up to the value of £1.25 so go for the larger ones!). The service is always quick as there's never really a queue which is great if you're in a rush.

It is not just medical products that Sidhu's sell. They also offer toiletries, perfumes/deodorant, beauty and hair products, passport style photographs but also a wide range of alternative treatment products. Staff at Sidhu's will offer advice, support and assistance to customers and I have found them to be very friendly when I have required help. Superdrug is a brand which either has good or terrible stores based on past experiences from Manchester to London, Liverpool to Brighton and across England - but this store offers facilities I've never seen in a Superdrug store before including a salon for women, and a barbers for men - normally they just have a small area of the store for women's beauty as this is a health and beauty retailer as well as a pharmacy, but it catered for men in that department too, offering a dry cut for the low price of £14 which is pretty good for the city centre, I've paid a lot more than that back home in Manchester too! The beverage selection was also pretty large, sadly it didn't have any Lipton drinks (these seem to have been replaced with fuze tea in every branch) or Starbucks beverages (some stores have these) The store, in general, was pretty modern and had a good range of products. Service and the queuing process could have been better as well as ensuring every part of the store was modern and stood out, as if not it just appears to be a little mix and match. 4* - Really good facilities for a Superdrug store in a central location, despite its flaws it is probably my favourite Superdrug store.

I have certainly found that to be the case whenever I have been with my mother to the Chemist. That is the beauty of a Pharmacy having a Drive Thru. Carters Green Pharmacy is not different to any other Pharmacy in terms of what it sells. From medicines to tablets these are some things you can purchase at Carters Green Pharmacy. I've been in there a couple of times needing relief from various ailments and the pharmacist has helped me out and advised me very well even though I'm not on their system. The other bits and pieces they sell, such as toiletries, are very well priced (the mens deodorant is as cheap as any supermarket) and they stock a good range of dental and headache products. There's also an optician in there (see pic - although if you can't you might need to visit them). Several people that have received their vaccine here have all said that their arm was not swabbed with an antiseptic wipe prior to the injection. After the injection, again several people advised staff that they felt unwell, either giddy, sudden headache, nausea or all three. In all instances staff advised them to go and sit in their car for 15 minutes as there is nowhere on the premises for patients to sit for 15 minutes after receiving the vaccine. Parking near the premises is very limited with the majority having to park in side streets necessitating a minimum 5 minute walk to their car. Some patients do not drive and walk to and from the premises. No guidance is given as to what should be done if symptoms persist. As the premises have no provision for patients to sit for 15 minutes following vaccination, and therefore are not meeting NHS and government guidelines for the delivery of Covid vaccine, I do not feel the premises are a suitable venue to deliver the vaccine. Is any health agency actually policing the suitability of venues?

At…read morethis time of year especially I think it's a great place to shop as it's all festive and has a brilliant selection of Christmas gifts considering the small space inside. The counter is along the back wall of the shop and here you will also find the Pharmacy. Behind the counter are all the medicines which cannot be bought straight off the shelf. All staff in here are qualified to give advice on different medications and I've always found their recommendations to be honest and accurate, I've never felt like I was being steered towards the most expensive option and most will advise that the Boots own brand painkillers are as effective as the bigger brands which cost up to three times more. The shop is laid out in a straightforward manner and it's incredibly easy to find everything you're looking for, products are consistently grouped together and the shelf edge labels let you know that you're in the correct place and also advise of any special offers relating to the items you are planning to purchase. Their selection of bathroom items are fantastic, all the top name shower gels and bubble baths are available as well as the excellent Boots ranges. I usually buy a lot of my shower gels from here as I am not particularly loyal to any one brand and the special offers (including lots of BOGOF's usually) makes this a cheap way of purchasing brands that I would usually find too expensive. This branch also sells a limited range of make-up which is well priced, because of lack of space they tend to stock only the most popular brands and shades so I cannot always find anything I want but then I am a bit fussy when it comes to make-up so prefer to visit one of the larger Boots stores. Their Christmas gifts are currently on a 3 for 2 offer which can drastically cut your present shopping bill - just yesterday I went in and bought half a dozen gifts including a Baileys gift set, individual tea pot and tea cup and set of In The Night Garden figures. The presents are all of the highest quality and Boots gifts are generally well received by my friends and family because there are some unusual items that I haven't seen before. This branch stocks an excellent selection of cosmetics bags and I usually buy a few of these as stocking fillers because they are attractive and very reasonably priced. The pharmacy is great, the pharmacist has been there for years and knows his customers well. I've heard him greet some of them by name, but is very personable even to people like myself who don't use the pharmacy very often. I have popped in with the kids occasionally for advice on small matters where I wouldn't want to bother the doctor and he is efficient and asks lots of questions before giving his opinion. Everything he's ever told me has proved to be correct and I find him, and all staff in this branch, to be reliable and well informed. The shop is well spaced so getting around in a wheelchair or with a pram poses no problem, there is plenty of space between the shelves so even the most boisterous toddler in the world (who happens to be my daughter!) won't be able to snatch stuff off the shelves as you're browsing - unlike a larger Boots I visit sometimes where I have to watch her like a hawk!
