This is a fairly large Tesco Extra store with a very big carpark which is only ever full right on…read moretop of Christmas. The customer service here is actually pretty good, with some members of staff more knowledgable than others though. The store is large enough to have a good range of items availble, although stock control is not always all that it might be, with items being out of stock for several days, or even weeks at a time, especially if they are on special offer or BOGOF. This seems to especially apply to wines that are on offer. The quality of the fruit and veg can leave a bit to be desired at times and if you shop in the evening, despite this being a 24 hour store, you can find lots of empty sections. There can also be a real shortage of bread late evening and the fish, butchers and deli counters do close during the evening. There is now a Direct counter in store, so you can order from there and also have items delivered to the store for collection. There is a minimum order value for free delivery to the store though. There is a petrol station here and also a Link cash point.

Extremely poor treatment of young customers. I have been shopping in this store for over 10 years…read morewith family etc, and over the past few years I have noticed most times I'm in the store I am being followed around by the security guard (as described earlier). However one experience has really thrown my family's interpretation of Morrisons off completely, and this experience involved another staff member as well as the security guard. Me and my friends were casually browsing an isle to when I noticed the lady staff member as described earlier was trying to intimidate me and my friends to leave the store with her arms folded alongside a partially aggressive facial expression which she held for more than a minute as we looked in discomfort. I would like to add that no suspicious behaviour was going on between me and my friends during this whole time (for reference we are all sixth form students in further education) who were NOT looking for trouble but instead browsing the store. I asked the lady worker if she was okay in a formal manner to which she began to give extreme attitude to the point where it felt as if she was moaning at us for the sake of it. Her clarification to why she was trying to intimidate us was completely ignored, as she believed she was not doing so....however I am 1000% sure if you checked security footage you would find she was. To no surprise the security guard who I described earlier makes his way over completely unaware of the situation, to which he then immediately sided with the employee under the impression we were causing no good. During the entire interaction I stayed in a professional manner with no poor treatment of staff or bad language used however on the other hand the security and employee continued to stay aggressive and intimidating with their behaviour severly lacking good interpersonal skills and shutting down all allegations that they or (she the worker to begin) was in the wrong. Threats such as calling the police on me and my friends were also made, with no reason to why. And I can confidently say that in an overall summary the way in which they handled the entire situation was childish and unprofessional. I repeat no antisocial behaviour was carried out by me and my friends. Both of my friends stayed quiet the entire time whilst I spoke up about how I thought. A compliant has already been made by my father as he knows for himself that the security are over the top with LOYAL customers, however this complaint has clearly not been taken into account. Do better, whether that's more on the job or off the job training these situations make customers feel uncomfortable and it's time someone spoke out. Now aside from this...Morrisons have some nice and friendly younger employees who have obviously had successful training. with this being said some employees particularly those who are older or have more experience in the store, need newer training etc.

unfortunatly i had a weir experience today at morrisons loughton, the cashier didnt find a barcode…read moreon the item so he said " i cannot scan it" at my request find the manager do something.. he. replied " we have two managers i dont know where they are" and was just looking at me - the customer. so ive decided to try and help him since he is so lost, just asked the staff from selfcheckout to call the manager and surprise for me was that this boy was telling me where to go to the over end of the shop and try to find there the manager.. amazing how the staff is sending the customer go and find the manager bcs we dont know where he is and we dont know how to call him/or maybe its bcs they forgot they have to be helpfull ?? more dissapointing to me is that the cashier has no way out if the item has no barcode... so if there is a struggle at the cashier what the customer doesnt matter?? Now at the end of all of this the manager came which was a young girl who had no interest in providing little customer service at least little .. her first question is " where did you get this item?" how the manager doent know what items the shop sells???? is it her first day? so all of this could be avoided as well as maybe a small teminder to this staff members -- they are suppose to help

The rest is on the ground floor. There is also a cafe, you can change currencies and get photos printed. Inside the supermarket, there is a chemist and they are of good advice (i think the chemist was actually very worried for me when i went to see him last. Prices are like in any tesco, so you can do your shopping for pretty cheap! (Or spend loads if you wish so) Generally staff is helpful and warm so it's all good!

This is truly giant size, it has loads more ranges than the ordinary stores. Wear comfy shoes, there's lots to walk around. It has a huge car park with plenty of disabled bays and a separate car park for families.

There is a good clothing section (although as ever it has a much wider range of girl's and women's clothes than men's and boy's. In addition it has a large homeware / toy / party section. My only issue with this store is that despite a number of designated spaces there are hardly ever any Child and Family parking spaces. This leads me to the dilemma of whether I leave my toddler or baby in the trolley to potentially get run over while I put the other in the car. Many spaces are abused by people with no children and the store appears to do nothing about this. Prices at this store are good. There is also a petrol station which is competitively priced

I have found that a lot of the younger staff are very helpful and accommodating but the older members of staff who are a bit more abrupt and rude. There used to be a café here which was handy for a nice breakfast but since the refurb this has been taken away which is a shame. Not this biggest store and does not stock any of the clothing range apart from basics such as Children's school uniform.

Fed up because the store keeps moving the stuff around to stimulate impulse purchases? ;-)) Hacked off by people standing yacking in mid-aisle to enrich their shopping experience? Suffering from arthitis/rheumatism/an old war wound? Several supermarkets do home delivery in many areas (e.g. Asda, Tescos). I've tried all of them, but Sainsbury's are by the far the best IMO. Maybe not the cheapest, but I think the best value. You can login 24/7. Then you have find out whether you are in fact within their catchment area, and register to provide the usual details. Having done that, you first have to agree a delivery window, which you can select (best to go to the site about 4 days prior to delivery for maximum delivery slots). So you're ready to rock! You click your way round their 'e-aisles' and 'add to basket' as required. This takes a while first time round, but it adds your purchases to your My usuals log, which will show up next time you login. All that happens then is that you remember to be at home and wait for them to cruise round. You have reduced your carbon footprint and saved yourself a lot of grief! ;-) It costs £6 per delivery, but if they are late, you don't pay. They will make suggested replacements which you can either accept or send back. These are usually O.K. You will also instantly see what is on special offer (e.g. at the time of writing for example, wine is 25% off! For the benefit of the geekish I am sure that they use CRM software to log transactions, because the number of our suggested replacements seems to just go down and down. Busy, no time for shopping, grumpy, fed up with all the other aspects mentioned above? Then go for it!

There is little in the way of multi deals. Every item is about 20p more expensive than every other Sainsbury's local store. I have never seen anything reduced in this store. The cashiers manage to give me incorrect change often and I got very upset one day when I had to buy a six pack of tomatos in excess packaging when I only needed one. Oh and finally the guy 'cooking' in the bakery can be spoken to through the shelves and he will often say 'no more' no more' just when you have got the fillings for the bagel, roll or baguette you want to buy. It is unbelievable that the head office is above this poor example of a store.

Small supermarket with good parking facilities…read more Fruits and veggies taste real good and keep for long. Loads of things available which are of foreign make and can sometimes be much better than goods of similar make in other supermarkets. you need to take your own bags or get charged 3p each time staff seem to be few in number so you might need to queue up for upto 15 mins in busy times and there is no sperate customers services.
