My son is currently in this facility. There is absolutely no therapy, no groups no help! My son is there suffering in silence. He also has a severe gluten-free allergy and it's basically being ignored so he's unable to eat the meals there, other than occasionally sliced chicken. He checked himself in because he was a danger to society and his home, we were hoping he would learn coping skills, but that doesn't seem to be happening, so he'll be leaving there with no knowledge on how to help himself. I am now wondering who will be held accountable when he's released if something goes wrong because my son is not well, which is why he checked in. This was the most unprofessional, dangerous, and inadequate care I have ever seen in my life. I belive the positive reviews were not from patients or patient relatives. The environment was deeply abusive and inappropriate, there were patients with severe dementia on the hall coming into other patient rooms, and there was no actual care. The staff were highly undertrained and unprofessional. The art rooms and gym and all of the facility were not used. We were marched single file to the dining area where the food given was not fit for human consumption. It was very akin to a concentration camp or prison. Staff laughed at people in distress and did not provide them medications. I am deeply shocked after hearing all the positive news about this center. Please bring anyone in need to a better facility. I will be filing formal complaints with the state and county. read more

January 16th, 2026 a patient was admitted to this facility under the care of Dr. Connolly. After speaking with the psychiatrist, the facility and the patient I was told that the visiting hours were between 6:00PM - 7:00PM. After arriving I was told that an identification number was required to speak with the patient under Dr. Connollys' care. The staff then proceeded to walk into the patient housing and did not consult the patient as to whether or not i was authorized to speak with them as legal counsel. The staff member then returned and said I was not allowed to speak with them due to their current state and proceeded to call the police to have me trespassed from the property. Staff can be a hit or miss depending upon callouts and bedside manner. Some of the staff has terrible bedside manner while others have terrific bedside manner. Also, it seems you ask a different person a same question and continually get a different answer. Brand new facility very well put together! Nico is the BEST! read more

I can only guess this entity has hands in big pharma. Absolutely zero therapy takes place. None. Residents are 'turned out' in a yard 2-3 times daily to walk in circles and then typically taken to the 'activity room' where staff sit on their phones and residents are given coloring pages; something that resembles the lowest level of daycare imaginable. Numerous 'groups' are posted that would lead you to believe therapy was taking place but it's a farce. There are a few staff members that seem to be there for the right reasons and out of frustration they will disclose other staff has instructed them to treat the patients poorly, or not at all. The caring staff (who are few and far between) seem to be mortified by the lack of actual therapy/help. This facility is meant for one thing and one thing only; experiment with meds. While there the amount of outbursts, dangerous situations and unrest with the residents were too numerous to count, most likely due to the lack of care +/- the lack of therapy. If you'd like your loved one to be comatose with medication, send them in. If you'd like actual therapy with a team, avoid this place at all costs. In my five days I spoke to a Dr twice and a social worker once. No therapists, not one; I'm not even sure there are any on staff. Luckily, after a court hearing, I was released. Essentially once you are there the only way to escape is through a court hearing. More beds full = more money. In addition to the lack of mental health resources here, the medical incompetence is outrageous. I went in with a UTI and they lost three urine samples, THREE! I waited over three days before finally being prescribed antibiotics. Futhermore what was prescribed was not for a systemic infection and upon my release I had to go to Urgent Care to be prescribed the correct meds. It makes perfect sense this is privately owned, if it were run by the state, it would've been shut down by now. Get help outside of here. read more

Went to check in, on my brother who is schizophrenic and they said we cannot see him unless my brother gives verbal consent to us visiting or he has to call us and give us the code to visit him. This is terrible he has serious trouble communicating, and has trouble functioning normally, and when me and my parents asked someone who works at their therapy center to help him use the phone and call us to let us in they declined and asked us to leave and wait til he calls. I worry for my brother's safety in there because me or my family can't visit or the therapy center will call the cops and remove us. read more

They are super caring and compassionate! The nurses are definitely looking out for their patience and I am finding that they are willing to work with the patients of that need extra emotional care... I went in and was immediately greeted with a beautiful smile and was given all the info needed for my son. The staff treats you with respect and dignity while giving you five star service. Compassion and customer service is a must in health care. I understand it's a stressful job and sometimes you get more complaints then acknowledgment. Today I thank you for treating us wonderful and making our experience less stressful by simply caring. Also we went for a visit at night and received the same treatment greeted with amazing receptionist giving us all the rules and helpful info going above and beyond to help us. Coachella Valley Behavioral Health should be shut down. They are rude, incompetent, and liars! From the front desk to the psychiatrist. They need to be retrained if they were at all. The patient came out worse than when they went in. 5150'd then fake as 5250. The second psych conveniently released the patient on the second day of the 5250 because they realized that the first psych made a huge mistake. The patients rights were violated and they will pay the price. Malpractice and coercion! read more
