In September 2025, my psychiatrist, NP Shadette Soriano, recognized that something still wasn't right and recommended HealthyU's PHP and IOP programs. I am incredibly grateful that I took her advice. From beginning to end, my experience with HealthyU has been nothing short of life-changing. It's true that "it gets worse before it gets better," and I feel so fortunate to have had such compassionate clinicians and supportive peers beside me during the hardest parts of treatment. After nearly six months in the program, I came out stronger, more prepared to manage my illnesses, and learning to love myself a little more along the way. There is no way I could have done this without HealthyU. IOPs are called intensive for a reason. There is a full curriculum, deep emotional work, and days when you want to quit--my advice: don't. You don't have to show up at 100% every day -- the facilitators will meet you wherever you are and help carry the percentage you don't have. They genuinely care about every person who walks through those doors and truly want you to succeed. The group setting reminds you that you are not alone. The peer support is something you never forget. I have made lifelong friends who understand me without judgment, and I offer them that same understanding in return. In my heart, I know I would not be where I am today if I hadn't admitted myself to HealthyU. I don't know if I would even still be here. If you are feeling lost, lonely, or afraid that life will always feel this way, please consider HealthyU. There are people there who care deeply about you and will help you find your way forward.

Welp 2 weeks later and not a single message or call. He said they needed to find me a detox but that there's a "team" for that. It's funny because I called my insurance and was given names of approved detox centers in less than 5 minutes. Called them and was able to get in with no issue...thankfully. To think of all the people who don't advocate for themselves and continue with their addiction because companies don't care to even help them. No wonder people are struggling when you have companies like this. Definitely letting my insurance know to stop working with them. What a shame!!

Here is the thing: EVERYONE NEEDS A MENTAL HEALTH CHECK UP now and again! Even (or Especially!!)…read morethe ones that provide mental health services to others. If you want my professional opinion, I would choose Jamie every time, 100% of the time. She is caring and helpful and has talked me off a few cliffs. I may be able to do this well for other people but not so well for myself sometimes. No matter how much training, knowledge or how many years of experience, I need to run my issues by someone that can see things from a fresh perspective and help me get some insight. And she has been there so I trust her. I trust that she is helping me find my way down my path and when times are dark she spreads some light. Also, its hard to preach to others if you aren't willing to take the steps and do the work yourself! I can't tell my patients to do things and practice coping skills if I am not doing that myself. Right? I have been a family nurse practitioner for 6 years and I always tell my patients that just like getting a physical check up once a year, you should be getting a mental check up at least once a year. After all, it is your brain that drives your body so you are best served keeping it in tip-top shape! If you have any questions, hit up her website. I mean who puts in HUNDREDS of work hours to give you the most informative education on mental health issues? JAMIE! It is so deeply obvious that she cares and she wants stable mental health for everyone. I know she is busy and I don't know if she has openings but please do yourself a favor and try to book an appointment with her. Your check up may last one session or it may last for several but no matter what, you will get what you NEED to help you continue along your life path. Thank you Jamie :)

I think this place is great. I have had some problems but nobody is perfect...especially me, that's…read morewhy I'm here. I was reading a complaint by a previous client and I think she is reading the policies wrong. But I can see why. The clinic should have the heading she is referring to as Termination, not Involuntary termination, because there are two different sections under termination...immediate termination and involuntary termination. Larisa has noted that her problem occurred with violence under the section for immediate termination, and then followed it up stating there policy says if a patient is involuntarily terminated they will receive humane detox. She was not involuntarily terminated, she was immediately terminated. But I don't know the story here and I do understand where she is coming from though. As is with any place like this you tend to deal with unsavory people. I had an incident as well of violence on the property where An attack took place in my vehicle. Nothing was done at all. But it is difficult to prove these things and everything worked itself out. But this place is really great. I have been going for about a year and I'm almost done. Was at 80mg and am now down to 20. A lot of the detox is in our own heads. I have been going down by 5mg every 10 days on methadone (Suboxone actually makes me sicker!) and while I start to feel the detox about 3 days into each drop in the late evening or early morning, by the time the 10 days has rolled around I'm ready for my dose to drop again. There is no need to stay on this stuff for 10 years! The best thing about this place is the staff. They truly do care. I have met with several counselors and they are all great (Mary, Ariel, Monique, Lindsay) and the front desk folks are awesome too (Gloria, Chris, and I haven't seen Karen lately so I'm not sure if she's still there, and a new girl who's name I'm not sure of is very good) and Don is extremely helpful (I believe he's the manager). And I can't say enough about the nurses and most doctors. I highly recommend this clinic just remember we are all addicts and there is bound to be some drama. Just focus on why you are going here and don't get involved with other patients and everything will be awesome

At least 2 cardiologists said his heart condition was like 'a ticking time bomb,' and needed the heart surgery but.... first needed to treat the sepsis which involved tests and antibiotics for two weeks at the hospital. Afterwards was transferred to a skilled nursing facility for more monitoring before the actual heart surgery. To keep this brief, the heart surgery was over 11 hours of which was an excruciating time of nervousness for me. Well, the surgery was successful and as of today, after 2 years, my dear friend is alive to talk about it, although he was sedated all that time and can't recall much. He has other medical issues subsequent to that surgery but is not as life threatening. I've waited this long to write this review, because sometimes when surgery is a success, the patient's diagnosis post surgery can decline rapidly. Not so much in my friend's case, he's Alive!! Heartfelt Thanks to the very capable experienced cardiologists/surgeons and the cardiology team of nurses and staff at Scripps Mercy who earned my high Recommendation.
