I appreciate the privacy and confidentiality that the clinic employs, particularly with their phone contact - no giveaway name on caller ID and no name given for the clinic on voicemails. I can see how this would be particularly important for some folks. The clinic provides needed unbiased, science-based information, which is hugely important and sometimes hard to get for some topics like unwanted pregnancies. FYI: The clinic is a not-for-profit, so if you care about everyone being able to access sexual health services (e.g. paps, STI checks, pregnancy checks, birth control, IUD insertions, etc.), you can donate any amount to a collection box they have and they also write receipts for larger amounts.

The good: - Pamphlets x 100 in the waiting room. - Posters for local events, services, workshops, etc. all over the place. - A wide array of free/inexpensive services - pap tests, STI testing, birth control (of all imaginable types, including Plan B), abortion counseling and arrangement, pregnancy tests, breast health exams, anonymous HIV/AIDS testing...you name it, they've got it. - A welcoming, respectful, and highly inclusive environment. - Awesome staff: empathetic, respectful, and highly discreet. - Fun events from time to time. Less good: - Wait times can be long. - Appointments may be difficult to obtain, especially if you're looking for something sooner rather than next week. In addition, clinic hours are limited after 4 pm, so chances are you'll have to take a morning/afternoon off to get checked out. Really, though, there's not much to complain about - certainly nothing that's out of the ordinary for a busy medical clinic. Don't be afraid to check HSHC out - you won't regret it.

I went in, 29 weeks pregnant (with twins) for a prenatal massage. While I've had lots of massages…read morebefore, I've never had a prenatal one. "Shadia" was my masseuse and I can, without a doubt, that it was the most impactful massage I've ever had. Location is great, lots of parking. Friendly greeting at reception, and the space is clean and bright. They endeavour to do direct billing with your health insurance, which is an added plus; if you'd like this, bring your information. The rooms are standard, dim and clean. For the prenatal massage they had a prenatal table, but we opted for the pad. I'm a bit of a blimp, as you can imagine, and Shadia just rolled with my awkward movements. The prenatal pad was very comfortable for me. The massage was excellent and needed. There were some tender spots, which needed more work for longer. This led to Shadia suggesting that if I come again, a 90 minute may be better. Because of all of the horomones pumping through my body, I'm just more sensitive than normal which means that to make an impact she needs to work longer in the same places. Unlike most massages I've had, we chatted through most of the massage - normally I wouldn't like this as I like to bliss out when getting a massage, but we had lots to talk about, so it was quite lovely. I'm sure I could easily request silence at another occasion. All in all I was just thrilled with the experience. I totally would encourage a prenatal massage to others, and I would definitely recommend Massage Experts Dartmouth based on my first time experience.

Centrally located for transit users and with plenty of street parking this space is practically perfect. It has a clean, modern feel, with a welcoming reception area and comfortable treatment rooms. A large main room beyond reception is sometimes used for yoga. The clinic is open until 9pm some evenings, so flexibility with appointments is rarely a problem. I followed Courtney here from a previous clinic. She's a bright and friendly face with a warm personality. She has a throughout knowledge of Massage Therapy with years of experience behind her. Courtney makes you feel at ease from the moment you see her and she eases your aches and pains while you're with her. Whether you're looking for a relaxing full body massage or a targeted deep tissue massage, Courtney is intuitive, calming, and caring.
