I asked to change the pillows cases , before they start my treatment . Maxine, my therapist, got upset with me. No personality. I had a felling that she doesn't care. I ask Holly, how often they change the pillow cases. Her answer was " every 3 days " I am not comfortable with that, and after calling my insurance, there answer was "That is unacceptable, with the COVID and flu season again ". Victor is the owner, Arlene is the manager I hope they will take in consideration my concerns and will protect ALL the patients in the future. I will not recommend this place to anyone.

They were knowledgeable and provided quality care, although they seemed understaffed. My biggest concern was with the front desk and billing process. I was scheduled for more visits than my insurance coverage allowed, and I was later told that I was fully responsible for the additional fees. While I understand that patients are responsible for knowing their insurance benefits, I also expect a basic level of communication and customer service from a medical office. A clinic should have a system to track the number of authorized visits and alert patients when they are approaching or exceeding their coverage limits. Instead, I was left feeling like the responsibility was shifted entirely onto me for an issue that could have been prevented with better internal tracking and communication. It is frustrating to receive good clinical care but have such a disappointing experience with the administrative side.

I recently underwent a complex shoulder reconstruction and joint replacement at the world-renowned Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado, a facility recognized for its excellence in orthopedic surgery. As part of my recovery, my surgical team provided a list of recommended physical therapy providers in Orange County, and Newport Beach Physical Therapy was among them. After an unpleasant experience at another therapy facility, I called this office and thoroughly explained my situation to the receptionist, asking to speak with David Bradley, the owner, to see if I could transfer my all my rehabilitation to his care without missing too many therapy days during the transition. The receptionist informed me that he was with patients but would return my call after 4 PM. Eager to ensure this was the right place for me, I even took an Uber to the facility since I am unable to drive post-surgery. I was allowed to tour the facility--which seemed clean and well-equipped--but despite seeing David Bradley in person, he refused to speak with me at that time even for 2 minutes. I was again told he would call me after 4 PM. That call never came. Not on Friday, not over the weekend, not even on Monday. This was not an oversight; this was a blatant disregard for professional courtesy and patient care. If a facility cannot even return a simple phone call to a potential patient recovering from major surgery, how can they be trusted with actual treatment? As a retired physician, I find this complete lack of professionalism and basic courtesy unacceptable, Due to this unprofessional behavior, I immediately notified my medical team at The Steadman Clinic, informing them of my experience. They have since removed Newport Beach Physical Therapy from their recommended list--permanently. A patient seeking care deserves to be treated with respect, not ignored.
