The food was very good and very fresh! You can tell chef wolf takes pride in what comes out of the kitchen! We even asked to meet him (my husband is a chef and rarely does that). I wish I would have gotten our servers name...she was so sweet and personable (she makes the staff snickerdoodle cookies!)We went back because the food and service was some of the best. The ambiance is great as it is right on the water! Definitely worth a visit!!

Even though there was an hour wait, we enjoyed cocktails along the boardwalk and listened to live music. We even saw a dolphin; it was delightful!

Came here closer to closing time and had a great experience. The vibe was perfect and chill after a long day of work, drinks and food was awesome! Service was very nice!Definitely will be back!

We are so impressed by this little water front spot. The menu is fantastic, staff so accommodating, great breeze and views, and drinks (smoked old fashioned with your choice of whiskey, chips, and bitters for $3 over the shot price) are all incredible. Puts some of the Port A and Padre Island spots to shame!

First time we ate at Coasters won't be the last! Chicken Tortilla Soup, Shrimp Scampi, Blackened Redfish with Risotto, and Fisherman's Platter for dinner with Crème Brûlée to finish. Excellent flavors and generous portions. Service was fantastic. If you go ask for Avery. She took good care of us with a great personality too! The patio was clean and the grounds were nice. Pretty views of Conn Harbor Channel.

Picked up dinner tonight from Coasters. Dang, what a treat. Both of our plates were huge AND delicious. Super nice young lady answered the phone when we placed our order. I'm excited to try dining in!

So good! I got the Build Your Own Po Boy (fried catch of the day) and my husband got the Seared Tuna. We really enjoyed the lunch after a full morning of fishing. Great service and clean!

We were hungry! We were looking for casual seafood in this Texas Coastal Area…read more My wife found a little restaurant with an appropriate sounding name and reasonable reviews and we went for it! At 7 PM, the parking lot was full! I stepped inside and found no one was actually eating. Most of the comestibles were of a liquid nature. But we just wanted some fried shrimp. Maybe some fries or tots and, as stated on the menu, hushpuppies and "4 oz of slaw", on request. Besides that, it was only "deep fryer food", what could go wrong? Plenty! To be fair the shrimp wasn't horrible. But, when ordering, I was specifically asked if I wanted "4" shrimp or "8". I specified "8" for both orders. I also asked for tater-tots with one order, fries with the other. Additionally, as specified on the menu, I requested hush-puppies and slaw. That is when things went awry. I got the food to go, as we had a dog in the car and there were no pup friendly patio tables. The nice waitress brought our order and we pulled out into traffic. We soon found a quiet place to eat. That is when our anticipation was replaced by reality. The "hush-puppies" were little more than an inch in diameter! Those won't hush any puppy I ever knew. The tater-tots were only about the size of a thumb nail. The shrimp were large and nicely cooked, but we got short changed. I did get my 8 fried shrimp, as ordered. My wife only got 4. And there was no "cocktail sauce" no "tartar sauce", not even ketchup for the potato component. The food was hot though! It was so hot that it melted through the styrofoam "take out containers and even fused them together in a couple of places. There was no sign of any slaw-like food item. Our needs were simple. Our expectations were not too high. But serving all the food items ordered and paid for by a customer is apparently not in the bag of tricks at this restaurant.

Butter Churn If…read moreyou're anywhere near Aransas Pass and you haven't eaten at Butter Churn, you're flat-out missing out. From the moment you walk in, you can feel it -- this isn't some corporate chain going through the motions. This place is dialed in. It is probably one of the most put-together restaurants I've ever had the privilege of visiting. Every detail feels intentional. Clean lines, modern touches, spotless floors, organized buffet, upbeat energy -- they hit every mark. The décor has personality without being overdone. It feels like a true family restaurant -- warm, authentic, and welcoming -- but with a level of polish most places never achieve. The service? Exceptional. Real smiles. Real hospitality. You're not just another table. You feel seen and taken care of. Now let's talk about the brisket. Unbelievable. I had to ask how they were doing it, and Mark was more than happy to walk me through his process. When brisket is smoked low and slow -- and they smoke theirs for 20 hours -- here's what happens: * The visible fat cap mostly renders down. * The intramuscular fat melts. * Collagen breaks down into gelatin. * The melted fat soaks deep into the meat fibers. So by the time it hits your plate? You don't see fat. You taste rendered fat and gelatin inside the meat. For $14 all-you-can-eat lunch, I kept waiting for the catch. There isn't one. I probably ate close to a pound and a half of brisket myself and still wanted more. Tender, perfectly seasoned, smoky without being overpowering -- the kind of brisket that makes you stop mid-bite and just nod your head because you know you found something special. You walk out wondering how they're not charging double. Everything about this place reflects pride -- pride in the food, pride in the service, pride in the entire experience. It's consistent. It's clean. It's efficient. And that kind of consistency is rare. This is only my second five-star rating ever. That's how serious I am about it. I apologize for not getting a picture of the brisket, I got too carried away with eating it. I live in Corpus Christi, and honestly, that's probably a good thing. If I lived any closer, I'd be there every single day. If you want authentic, high-quality food served by people who genuinely care about what they're doing -- Butter Churn is it. Five stars. No hesitation.

I had originally tried to come here for dinner the previous night and sort of glad I didn't bring my big group here as their prices are a little high with a big group and the wait was crazy long that night anyway. Entree prices range from 28-62 for most items, unless you order basic fried seafood or their pasta dish. I did grab some oysters while I was here. The bartender indicated they were farm-raised from Port Aransas and similar in size as east coast oysters, which I prefer over Gulf oysters. The oysters ended up being very good and clean, but they are definitely briny. The oysters are served with just cocktail and horseradish...nothing special. Their lemon is covered with a net to capture the seed, which is a common feature at nicer restaurants. They also open your Tabasco bottle for you. I enjoyed my cocktail, but it is something I have made at home, so it wasn't anything too special for me.

Our small group sat out by the water on a covered patio overlooking several large boats.
