This was one of the best buffet dinners that we had on our entire 3 week honeymoon! The food was…read moredelicious and they had such a good variety. Just remember the dress code...No shorts or flip flops. We went zorbing before this so we had a change of clothes ready in the car. We booked this as a combo package which included the skyline gondola ride and a tasting at the Volcanic Hills Winery. I'd recommend getting here 2 hours before your dinner so you can do the tasting at a nice pace. Plus the lines can get long at the gondola. Book in advance if you can! It was so good. I think the food was better than the Skyline Gondola in Queenstown. But the view in Queenstown was better than this one.

The food is delicious and covers an array of international dishes. The food is fresh and the presentation is fabulous, not to mention the spectacular views from the restaurant. This place is great for celebrating special occasions or even just celebrating that you're on an awesome holiday in NZ!! (I'm from the United States ;-) ) There is a dress code, be sure to check out the website. Basically no athletic wear is allowed and no flip flops or jandals. Staff were very polite and friendly!! I would recommend reservations, the restaurant is huge but I can see it getting packed quickly. A definitely must do if you're not from NZ or even if you are!!

We arrived pretty late after a long drive and were excited to find it open and able to promptly seat us. The inside is pretty small and intimate and has romantic lighting and a cozy collection of tables and chairs. The turquoise statement walls bring in a subtle ocean theme along with the giant picture of an angler fish on the wall..that's one intimidating fish face! Our server was very friendly and helpful at pointing out the gluten free options on their menu. I had the pasta marinara with seafood which came out beautifully plated and tasted delicious. The husband enjoyed a nice crispy beer battered snapper and fries. We'd heard they have a great dessert menu but were honestly too full to try anything. Delicious eats and a fun relaxing vibe to the atmosphere!

But after looking at the menu, we were convinced it would be delicious. We sat and ordered a bottle of wine, the muscles in butter wine sauce and the seafood chowder! The meals were absolutely delicious! By far- the best mussels I have ever had, before we even finished them we were wanting a second order of them! The seafood chowder was delicious as well! But if I were to go back, I'd ordered the mussels first. Staff was great and the location was perfect!
