I just stopped by the other day to get some gas, and although the pump I originally stopped at (and another nearby keypad) didn't have a working keypad, I chose to move. I found it best to enter my alternative ID for my SpeedyRewards card and the keypad is vital to this entry. There were at least two pumps that were like this when I got there (pumps were located just to the south of the building but on the side facing northbound close to the building (both pumps on that side - in that direction). When I got inside to pay for my $10 in gas, the employee asked me for my rewards card. I knew that giving them the rewards card inside wouldn't hurt things (when trying to use an attached Cash-Fuel Card (for three cents off per gallon), but I figured "sure," I'll play that game. Nothing became of that, and as normal, I gained nothing from that addition of my rewards card inside. (I don't use my cardboard rewards card as much, but I have one.) (I mean, I have the fuel card attached to my online account, and I have the passes on my phone for both, but having knowledge of the fuel card pass which one of the other places told me is auto-connected will send things thru directly. Suggestion: When I give you my cardboard rewards card, could you tell your company to auto-connect these two cards together if they are attached online like the phone passes?) After moving my car to the pumps just to the north of the building, things went rather smoothly. The pump acted normal (although it slowed down sooner than others and I stood outside in the cold weather (when a winter storm was preparing to make it's way to where this station is and up into the Northeast and out to see). Normal pumps generally start to slow down by the 70 cent mark before the full dollar, but this pump slowed down by the 60 cent mark and added another 10 seconds onto the time - time I could have more well-spent traveling to my destination. Ok, but I'd rather stop at other Speedways, if given the opportunity.

Usually Stewart's seems to go out of their way to hire super friendly folks. Not so much at this…read morelocation. 2 girls there were rude and acted like they were doing us a favor. We were in line to pay and 1 of the ladies saw us but just kept working on coffee pots (we were not buying coffee) without even acknowledging us. We were actually going to not buy anything at that point and just leave but as were were walking away the "busy" girl said "can I help the next person in line". It was a sarcastic comment as we were the only ones that had been in line. We suggest that Stewart's mystery shop this location to improve upon the service - they don't give.

I know what you're saying... "Stewarts? Seriously?"…read more Yup. This particular store will forever hold a place near and dear to my heart. I lived in Valatie for two years while working nearby on Route 20. This store, by far, was the cleanest and best maintained location of them all. I held all other (and still do) convenience stores up against it. The staff always helpful and the place was CLEAN. So my 5-star rating is for this specific store. Were there others that were close? Yep. Stewarts in East Greenbush on route 20, smallest store I visited, but well run and clean and the Stewarts in Chatham. Stewarts as an organization... Top Notch. I got to know several employees at the different stores and was amazed at the benefits package that this regional chain offered its employees. For someone starting out, its a great place to learn some good old fashioned business values. So a BIG LOUD SHOUT OUT to LANCE! Dude you ran a tight ship. You knew it wasn't about being popular, but doing what needed to be done and getting it done. Back in CT folks here don't know what a Stewarts is. Wish I could still stop in for my hot cup of tea and the grab-n-go peanut butter roll.
