HOWEVER, when you drive up, the place has areas that appear to be gutted out or in a state of renovatio, there is a loose dog on the premises and a bum that hangs out on the front stoop. No thank you. On a side note, I was told by two different sources that the rooms are nice inside and if you stay here, you get a free beer for every night you book. NO joke. I think he and his wife co-own/operate the Budge Inn and the Kermit Inn. The Kermit Inn is newer but the room is $77 a night for a king-sized bed. Drive an extra 3 minutes up the road and stay here. The rooms are a little older, but they are $45 for a king bed, a mini fridge, microwave, tv, and table. What else do you need? If ever in the area, I'd stay here again.

They also raved about the hot breakfast with a cute little Texas-shaped waffle and a variety of boba pearls, including blueberry flavor. Yes, I said boba! We stayed in Suite #203. It was nice and clean with two double beds and a sleeper sofa plus two flatscreens and ample outlets. After taxes and fees, my rate was $160.99 The only pitfalls for me was the interstate noise which wasn't too bad, but I could also easily hear kids running up and down the hallway a few times. Additionally, we had to use towels from our room for the pool. At one point I had to go downstairs to ask for a blanket that I thought should have been supplied in the room as part of the sleeper sofa. Nice, friendly staff. Upon receiving our bill they charged us $565, although Assistant General Manager Andrea Collin's only claims $500. The headboard was clearly being held up by cheaper plastic wall anchors. They're claiming we must have been too rough, or bouncing on the bed, none of which is truth. $565 for a headboard being remounted is an absurd price, and screams scam as Hilton HHonors policies are location specific. Until Andrea Collin's is out over there I wouldn't stay, because you will probably be charged with some sort of damage, regardless if it's wear and tear
