Absolutely amazing food and drinks. Next time I'm in Brazil, I will stop by for dinner.

I had very high expectations for this places based on reviews and photos I had seen in Yelp, but unfortunately, we had a pretty poor experience. We were only 2 people and nobody said anything when we first sat down about the fact that all dishes are either for 2 or 4 people. We were extremely disappointed when we ordered 2 different types of fish and they told us we could not get individual servings, but only serving size for 2 people. The inflexibility was really something I have not experienced in other Brazilian restaurants. We ended up compromising and ordering just one type of dish for 2 people, and the fish was over cooked. This place was a recommendation while in Brasilia for work. The ambiance of the place was excellent. There are numerous choices of what to order. We choose the lobster and rice, shrimp with basil pasta, and shrimp salad. Everything was cooked right, even the lobster wasn't over cooked. The drink menu is out of this world. Everything from original craft beer and wine to fun coconut drinks. The food is family style and shared between people which is always a great concept for fellowship. Great venue and event attended last evening in Brasilia. The staff, and team at Coco Bambu were amazing. Coming from the states and having the opportunity to dine in this establishment was great. The staff were extremely attentive, the food and beverages were very good. I would love to get the opportunity to come back and dine again. A very pleasant experience. read more

So good!!! Never had a bad experience. Camarão mediterraneo is my personal favorite! It is upscale. Gets very busy. (A lot of large parties.) Beware that almost everything is served family style. Drinks are great. We've had and been to many a celebratory dinners here. Go for the great food and the view of JK bridge. Super worth the price! read more

The portions are HUGE! We ordered the "coconut shrimp" which sounded light and was actually super heavy. It's drenched in cream and topped with cheese. They said it serves 2-3 people, but could have easily done 5-6. The caipirinha tasted good, but was super cheesy - served in a fake coconut shell with an umbrella and flag and little wooden fish thing. The place is also huge. I guess there's a great view, but at night it was just a tv reflecting in the glass. Maybe there's not much going on in Brasilia, making this competitively good. I didn't get to try much to have a point of comparison. But I was told - and agree - that it's kind of like a Cheesecake Factory. read more

Great location/view, excellent food, and the menu is also in English. I recommend getting the Camarão Internacional. It feeds 4 people easily. read more

Located by the lake and on top of a fitness centre, Coco Bambu is a new, high end restaurant. To get to the restaurant you either squeeze into the tiny elevator or walk up a flight of stairs. I would say the Brazilians in the fitness centre working out is a bit discouraging when you know you are about to stuff your face. But hey, this could always work to your advantage - go for a work out and then stuff your face upstairs at coco bambu or the reverse stuff your face then work out. I ate their as part of a "protocol" dinner and we were brought to a large private room where we mingled with 15-20 other people. During the meet-and-greet portion, servers walked around with bottles of beer, caipirinhas with umbrellas in them (kitschy), pina coladas, caipivodkas, and whiskey. They were attentive in making sure everyone's drinks were filled and were good about clearing empty drinks and plates. There were appetizer plates set around with combination of eggplant and olives, shrimps, and pieces of bread. It was tasty. When dinner finally came about and we sat at a long banquet table. Waiters brought dishes to the room and served us each individually. Highlights were the fish and also the bacon wrapped steak. During our experience at Coco Bambu, there was a terrible lightning storm which knocked out the lights three or four times during our lengthy meal - each time this happened restaurant-goers took it in good spirits and erupted in cheers. This of course has nothing to do with the restaurant but it is worth noting that they do have backup generators which kicked in. Coco Bambu is a lovely restaurant located by the lake in Brasilia with good food and good service. A nice setting to bring a date. read more

Coco Bambu is very nice restaurant price is higher then average restaurants but you get what you pay. I enjoyed their cheese breads. It is called Pao de Queijo looks like mini donut ball but it is cheesy :). Food prepared very well and with high standard. Menu has many items that can be shared 2-3 people. read more

It's pretty expensive but really worth it. The banana caipirinha is totally unorthodox but AMAZING. I get it every time I go. The portions are big, and meant for sharing, so it's definitely a family style restaurant. No real way of ordering individual portions and to be honest, not quite sure why you'd want to. The best part is getting to try 2 or 3 dishes. Although that being said, this is a place to come with big groups. read more

Great place to eat at the Brasília Shopping. I had the sun-dried steak with rice and potatoes. I asked for the steak to be prepared "medium" and that's exactly what I got- something they can't seem to get right most of the time in the USA . Our waiter was very busy but gave us great service. And of course the caipirinhas were fantastic. read more
