My Baconburger was HUGE and very delicious, I highly recommend it. My companions ordered various Asian dishes and were all very happy. Careful though, spicy here means spicy! We sat inside as the mosquito menace proved to be too much. The diner sadly has little in the way of air conditioning it was a very hot evening. Altogether a very enjoyable and wonderful location!

At a recent dinner here, I enjoyed down to the last spoonful a delicious mango soup with shrimp. This was followed by an outstanding gnocchi with flavorful salsiccia in a red sauce. Without doubt, it was one of my favorite dishes I have eaten this year - anywhere! Ghisallo is a destination restaurant but fortunately for me one of my friendly local eateries. When we walked in it looked like a party had reserved the place, but we were ok with sitting at the bar but we weren't sure if they were too busy to accommodate us. We walked up and asked if we could sit at the bar and the server there said he would have to check with the owner. The owner herself came out and said "of course!" Turns out they didn't have service at the bar cause all the servers were taking care of this large party so we were served by the owner, who is very friendly and kind. We chatted briefly with her on her restaurant and our visit here in Vienna. Found out they'll start serving brunch the following week (brunch is the way to my heart) so I promised to return. We finished our beers shortly after and left. But I will be back for their brunch and good service.

Not a very kids' friendly place either, no kids menu, no high chairs, etc.. And although the weather was nice, we couldn't sit on the terrace since smoking is allowed due to Austria's "Free Choice" smoking policy. It was a fun experience to try it out with friends, but I don't see myself going back there anytime soon.
