Unskilled and horrible experience. I had a dip manicure service last week. In doing routine cuticle care the male technician cut my skin on 4 of my 5 fingers. This didn't become clear to me until my service was complete as the blood on my fingers continued despite the "wiping away" I left disappointed. When I got home i realized how horrible this was. Skin nicks and bleeding should not be part of a manicure. I went right back. The technician and his manager didn't seem to recognize that what they did was horrible work. They wanted to "fix it". How do you fix bleeding cuts? Many of my friends go to Coco and report high satisfaction. I think there is one person there who is good ( ? maybe May? ) I will not return. Make your own decision. To the salon. The male technician needs training on his skills and his professionalism. This service was extremely poor and negligent. He was quite rude to me when I returned. I have been a customer for years (under old and new owners). Nail technicians are very friendly and do a good job. The salon is very clean and comfortable. The prices for standard manicures and pedicures in line with other area nail salons - I can't speak to the other services. I can usually get a convenient appointment or just walk in with no issues. I will say I miss the neck massage they used to give after services when your nails are drying and I wish they would bring that back! First time here yesterday and I was so impressed! I realized that the old owners were gone, and the new owners have only been getting great reviews so I gave them a try. So glad I did- from the moment I walked in, I felt so welcome (thank you Vicky)! My nail tech, Le, was able to take off my Gel-X nails without further damaging my natural nail underneath and then did an AMAZING job with giving me a dip manicure that looks so clean and natural! I just moved back to the area and was looking for my new go-to nail salon, and again- I'm so glad I found it! Hearty recommendation on all levels. I was looking for a place to take my 92 year old Dad who has mobility issues so I was concerned about getting into the pedicure chair. 4 places turned me away. Then I called Coco's and Don answered and told me to come, that he would help. He met us at the curb, helped my Dad out of the car and my dad used his walker to go into the salon. Don led us to a semi private room where there was enough room for my dad to easily and independently maneuver his way into the chair, with the arms raised! Wendy came over to do his feet and was a bit taken aback by his overgrown thick nails but she diligently cut them down. We have been here twice lately. They seem disorganized. We had an appointment both times, but they seem like they aren't expecting us. Today they made us wait 15 min because they didn't have enough people working. Waiting is fine but it is the reason that is odd this time. They must know how many reservations they have so this confuses me a bit. I can't explain it except to say that the place seems unprofessional. Hectic and random. They don't understand what you want despite the reservation saying exactly what you want, make you bleed when doing your toes or hands, etc. Today they tried to give my daughter a pedicure when she had a reservation for a full set gel manicure which I reiterated to them when we entered. It's just weird and disorganized. My daughter asked for us to never go back. read more

I have been here several times before, and while the salon has never been my favorite, I must say after my last visit I will not be returning again. Be aware, they now charge $5 for gel removal (which I have NEVER experienced). My manicure lasted hardly a day before starting to chip on several nails in addition to a pretty subpar paint job in general. My friend's manicure was likewise awful: they left polish all over her cuticles and her nails started chipping the next day as well. She is an even more frequent patron of Coco than I am, but will also not be returning. Among the generally irritating things about this salon: they have a $20 card minimum, the nail techs are not friendly, and they charge $35 for a gel (which is $10 more than other salons in the area). Coco has a few nice touches (the moisturizing glove, and the [short] back massage), but in my opinion, that doesn't offset the salon's substandard service and quality--especially for the high price. read more

I've been coming to Coco Nails off and on for a few years now. I came in this past Sunday 12/29/19 and had the worst experience so far. My mom, dad, and I all decided to get pedicures while my mom and I got manicures as well. The entire time we were getting our pedicures done the ladies working were trying to up-sell. "You want spa pedicure? $15 dollars more. You want an extra 10 minutes of massage? $10 more." I understand they need to ask, but I've never had it happen at Coco the amount it happened this day. Whenever they had the chance they asked if I wanted more. Then came my manicure. It was a quiet day in the salon compared to what it normally is, but my manicurist was still rushing and flustered. All I got was a simple gel manicure, nothing wild. She even hacked at my cuticles even after the polish was on as well for the manicure to not even come out great. Vicky is very talented and capable of using the hard acrylic gel and leaves my nails looking beautiful and natural. A small parking lot is available, if it is full there is plenty of parking on the street and Don will fill the meter for you while you're getting your nails done! I am very happy and comfortable with Coco Nail salon. I have been coming a few years and even happier now that the salon is under new management. Very convenient to get an appointment, even last minute. The best part is how clean the salon is as well as the tools used for each individuals manicure and pedicure. The worst nail salon I've ever been to. I had a manicure done and while the woman was taking the gel polish off my nails, she sliced my pinky open to where it was dripping blood. It took about 10 minutes to stop the bleeding, and she continued. My cuticles were never trimmed and the gel polish application was messed up twice so the manicure Took over an hour and 20 minutes. I was charged in full and I didn't want to say anything at that time since I had somewhere to be and instead I would call the manager to let her know what happened, which I did. She told me she and her husband reviewed the cameras very closely and denied that this ever happened!! She also told me her staff couldn't remember this incident and that the only thing she would do would give me back in for another manicure- no thanks! Never again. read more

What happened to this place? I had a really great mani/pedicure a few months ago from Kevin, and came back thinking I would get the same. This time I had a manicure from Helen. She soaked the gel off of my nails for all but 1-2 minutes. No gel came off, it wasn't long enough of a soak, so she filed down the tops of my nails a little and was planning on putting nail polish right on top. When I asked her to please soak longer she said she couldn't and wanted to file down more. She filed down so much that I am now left with thin/ brittle nails that have already broken and chipped after 1 day. I am used to having thick healthy nails and am upset they are ruined. She did NO cuticle work, and then when she applied paint, she missed spots on every nail- I can see clearly on every nail where she missed a 2nd coat and topcoat. I wish I could post a photo in this review- my nails look horrible. I hate to leave a bad review, but this manicure ruined my nails. I will not go back again. read more

They were so unprofessional and misleading. First The website looks better than the actual salon. I went for a pedicure & dip and while getting my pedicure done two of the employees got into an argument, my dip was the worst I've ever had, cuticle left on, no shape & within 2 days they were already lifting & getting caught in my hair. Even for the removal they left the clear dip. It's just horrible. The place looks like they haven't done a real cleaning in months! I didn't see employees wash their hands or sanitize. My experience was comical. The tec indicated that she didn't know how to do a French but they told her to do it anyway. I used to like this place but the service is not worth the cost anymore. My daughter and I had an appointment for mani/pedis today. We arrived when they suggested and both got seated, someone started the pedicure water and we put our feet in. Someone attended me, and I was told someone would be coming along to start my daughter, but that never happened. She watched 3 people come and go. I reminded my pedicurist about her, and was told someone would come, but they never did. Poor thing waited patiently for over an hour for a mani/pedí that never happened. I could see she was getting upset and asked if she wanted to leave so rushed through my manicure (and ended up smudging it) in order to get her home. What a waste of time and money, honestly. They were apologetic at the end and offered her a free manicure, but it was too little too late. Her feelings were hurt. She didn't understand why others got to cut the line. She politely refused the free manicure at dinner time (even though she had really wanted one all day). I won't ever do that to my daughter again. My feedback is to be more transparent about wait times (or just don't offer appointments) and to treat your younger customers just as well as your older ones (their parents do tip). This needs improvement before we will ever return. They lost us as customers despite being neighbors. read more

Chelsea, korean nail tech did my mani/pedi. It's expensive here at $45. They follow all the regulations in terms of pre packaged opening of sterile utensils. They use a hot black stone and paraffin wax for the heel. 6 pedi chairs with a plastic lining in the foot tub. I'm wondering if they wash it carefully afterwards? The tip of my nails were not sealed at the edges so we will see how long it lasts before it starts tearing apart. I'm disappointed they did not take a very long time meticulously cutting my "cuticles". They do a light shoulder/rub while you are drying your nails. read more

Hands down one of the best pedicures and manicures I have had! Quinn was very good, very attentive to detail and did a wonderful job, even though my feet were in a pretty neglected state when I came! I chose the Dazle dry for both mani and pedi, and they did a great job. I am very picky about cuticles, and I am very happy with how they look and feel. I had a long conversation with the manager after, as I was the last customer, and was refreshingly impressed with how personable she was and how committed to customer service. I went to Coco for the second time yesterday and I'm sold. The atmosphere is pleasant, everything is clean, and the staff are welcoming. I have gotten a mani-pedi both times here but I will definitely be coming back for gel! The pedicure is nice because they don't rush, scrub my feet well, and spend a significant time massaging... All top priorities for me. They have TVs on the news but no sound which is nice. I prefer the classical music playing in the background. I also really enjoyed the manicure even though, this past time, they did it at the same time as my pedicure. They use a great paraffin glove that is disposable so you get a new one every time. With the added bonus of a mini back massage while you're drying... I can't imagine I would find a more quality nail salon in the area. Prices aren't bad but it's not cheap either so be prepared to spend a little extra for a quality service. read more

As I sat here tonight admiring my beautifully manicured nails (still perfect after 3 days!) I couldn't help but think of what a great experience I had. I was greeted right as I walked through the door and sat for my manicure. First of all there is no soaking your hands in a bowl of water, which can actually dry you out. Instead they use "NK easy way treatment" gloves to soften your cuticles and hands. This is an all natural emulsion glove that is FREE of parabens (preservatives) and petrochemicals, substances responsible for dermatitis and allergies. Coco nails is a chemical free environment and they don't offer acrylics, so I can bring my daughter in for a mani or pedi too! I also loved that the implements used on me were in a hygienically sealed package so I knew they were properly disinfected. The best part of all- the almost 10 minute neck/upper back massage while I was receiving my manicure! I also really like that they speak English in front of you... its human nature to think that when someone is working on you and they are speaking a different language they are talking about you, which be be somewhat un-relaxing... Coco Nail Spa is my new favorite place. Clean, beautifully decorated and affordable this spa like environment is calming, quiet and friendly. I cannot wait to go back!
