This place was a total rip off and huge disappointment. I went specifically for a fresh coconut. First off the prices listed on one sign said $5 for a coconut and a few other larger signs said $7 for regular and $10 for large. All signs said $1.00 additional for them to cut out the meat. We were the only customers at the place and no greeting or hello (one of my pet peeves). Once I made eye contact with a lady inside in the food ordering area she told me the coconuts were $10, I inquired about the $5 and $7 she ignored the question about $5 and said all the $7 ones were sold out. I should have just left, but was really jonesing for some fresh coconut. She went back where I couldn't see her, but could hear some thumping. She brought out a huge coconut with a hole and two straws. The water was okay, nice and cold but not much flavor. I paid the extra buck for the meat and she brought me a small plate of this soft flesh (so gross, like raw squid texture) that didn't taste like coconut. I asked her about the rest of the meat and she said "young coconut". I asked about firm flavorful typical coconut and she just repeated what she said prior. Needless to say tomorrow I will have to find somewhere to get some coconut. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

$10 for a coconut is incredibly overpriced. I would be ok paying that if It was a luxurious resort because I would be paying for the experience more than the actually coconut. But this establishment is no luxurious restaurant or resort it's an old house converted into a restaurant style shack. Its uncomfortable, hot, flies are everywhere, and the employees are so rude. I wouldn't recommended stopping at this establishment, you're better off buying a coconut at the supermarket. Trust me when I'm saying they are unbelievable rude who just want to rip you off and don't care about customer satisfaction. read more

Came here to get a chilled coconut for a quick refreshment after hiking Waimea Canyon. It was exactly as I expected it. What made this establishment different was when I asked to cut open the coconut to eat the meat, the lady actually peeled the whole meat off and gave it to me. It was really easy to eat! read more

Unbelievably overpriced for a smoothie: $8 for a small size. Shave ice is not the best here. A papaya does not cost $4 in Kaua'i! Overall this place felt like a tourist trap! read more

We love Angel! Best shaved ice that we've had on the island. Instead of murdering the whole family with her machete, she used it to open up some coconuts, which made the whole thing feel more true to tradition and less like Texas Chainsaw Massacre. read more

The Guava mango passion fruit smoothie is THE BEST we've had on the island!! Delish!!!

Only got a coconut. They serve you a chilled coconut cut open at the top with straws so you can drink the juice. Before you leave, ask them to crack it open so you can eat the meat. read more

After eating at the Shrimp Station, we wanted a little dessert. The Coconut Corner is right next to the Shrimp Station, so we walked over there and decided on some shaved ice. There's plenty of other desserts to try - fruits, frozen fruits, juices, etc. But shaved ice just seemed to be the ticket on this hot day. I hadn't had one in years and was feeling a little nostalgic. I ordered the shaved ice with watermelon, cherry, and lemon syrup. My husband got just the watermelon. So tasty and made me feel like a kid again. I mean its shaved ice. It's hard to screw that up. I would definitely suggest this place as a nice stop, or break from your adventures while near the Canyon in Kauai. read more

This was my and fiancé's favorite food on the island! We came through on our way to the canyon and we aren't even sure if they were open but a lady was in the kitchen and offered to make us Thai food sometime between 7:30-8 am. All fresh ingredients and the best Thai food I have had outside of Thailand and gave the Thai food I had in Thailand a run for its money. If we weren't staying in Kapaa we probably would have ate all our meals here. Both of the people working there were very nice and helpful. We didn't have smoothies but the Thai food was very reasonably priced. Check it out! read more

Really friendly couple runs this place. They will break open a fresh coconut for you. They even have fresh dragon fruit. Decorated with fresh fruits and bananas. Fun place to get a smoothie. read more

Overpriced and mediocre. I paid 8 dollars for a coconut smoothie that cost about 50 cents to make and didn't even contain fresh coconut... Don't let the allure of the fresh fruit in the front get you like it did me. It's not worth it. read more

Tourist trap. Avoid at all costs. Chicken Pad Thai was the worst I've ever had and it gave me food poisoning. Chicken wasn't fully cooked, noodles had very little sauce. While waiting for my food I noticed that most of their "farmers market" produce was from Costco. Folks, don't go here. read more

We read the reviews, new and old, and we decided to try it. All 6 of use liked our food. The best Thai we've ever had? No. But it was tasty and good. We had red curry chicken, pad Thai noodles, kalua pig sandwich, pad see ew, and one other dish we can't remember. All good. Try it. read more

It'll do in a last minute pinch. It's not good food and not what you'd typically expect of Thai food. The Kauai shrimp was chewy, rubbery, old tasting so maybe try the chicken??! They were open on Christmas 2016 and since we poorly planned for food, I've given them 2 stars. Good luck. read more

Stopped here for a shaved ice, some pineapple a piece of banana bread and a Diet Coke. The lady working the window was very rude and snapped at my 16 year old son...I'm assuming she didn't know we were together as I walked up later then him. If he hadn't of already paid we would have walked away without anything! SO RUDE! read more

This place looks appealing at first glance. However don't let that fool you, as you get closer flies are everywhere, and prices are very unrealistic and kept changing. $7 for the smallest coconut, and $10 for the biggest coconut! Why would i pay that much for a coconut when i can just get one myself, its an island and coconuts are everywhere. I can freeze them and open them myself...FOR FREE! AND $8 FOR ONE MANGO. Very ridiculous! Save your money and buy your fruits from the local grocery store down the road. On the plus side, the place is pretty colorful. read more

We ordered 4 coconuts and three were good. One was over-ripe and tasted rotten. We took it back to swap it and the lady tasted it, said it was fine and gave it back! Horrible customer service - huge wait time - not very clean. read more

Horrible experience. Do not buy coconuts from here. They were super bad and old. When I told the lady that the coconut is bad , the lady argued that the coconut was fine. I grew up with lots of coconut trees in my house and definitely know what a bad coconut tastes like. I would give them less than one star, if I could: they serve the worst Thai food I ever had. the spinach (yes, spinach) was more than half-rotten, they also used sauces from commercial bottles... I think it was Ranch. And they are liars. I ordered Pad See Ew, and when I saw the plate, I asked: - what is it? and they said: - it's Pad Thai... I wined: - but I ordered Pad See Ew... - and they said: - yes, yes, it is Pad See Ew! when I tried to mention that it really looked like Pad Thai, they wouldn't have any of it. Anyway. The food cost like an airplane wing (like a meal in a top notch restaurant), and the food was just gross. the shaved ice had the most artificial flavors I ever tasted. We also bought some fruit there, and the pineapple was over-ripe and well on the way to getting sour, and other fruit were just not tasty. If you stop by because you, like us, are not sure there will be food up in the canyon, relax, there is a visitor's center with a decent eating place. read more
