Family meal #1 consist of whole chicken, 8 sauces, 2 sides, and 2 sodas. I opted for Yuka fries & red bean and rice mix as my sides. Yuka fries were okay. They weren't crispy like I prefer my Yuka fries so that was a downside however they do not skip out on the portion for this side. Rice & red bean mix was okay as well. Pretty simple for this side. Whole chicken might be the star of the show! Chicken was extremely tender and quite literally fell off the bone! I like how this wasn't over seasoned to overpower the dish. The whole chicken ended up being 2 meals for 2 ppl so I think this could be shared for 2-4 people depending on the person of course. Now I am a sauce girl & unfortunately I was disappointed in the sauce that was paired. The white / yellow sauce didn't have much of a taste and not sure what this was suppose to be. The green sauce was a simple jalapeño sauce I believe. I'm used to this sauce to be more creamier however it was very simple and more liquid than creamy. Service was nice & there's indoor seating! I used to get a regular size aguadito soup for around $5.25 , no the size is only 8 ounces for the sane price , as you can see from the picture I provided. Listen, I understand times are tough but this is utterly ridiculous. Also the parking is a nightmare. Service is ok, hit or miss. I can tell their not as busy as they once were. I haven't had Cocorico in a long time and decided to have some today for lunch. The young lady that waited on me was friendly and the restaurant was clean. I got the Arroz Chaufa (mixed w/ chicken, steak and shrimp). All the meat rested on top of the rice. The steak was rubbery, the chicken was dry and they gave me only (count em) 4 shrimp. Rice could have used more flavor. It was 20bucks. So not worth it. Not what I remember at all. Won't be back. Sorry Coco. read more

The chicken was tasty but beans very bland and the black beans a little undercooked. They had free self serve water but the drink menu was limited to bottled selections. My first time eating here, ordered rotisserie chicken with fries & mashed potatos. The chicken had little to no seasoning, very bland. I was raised eating Peruvian/Bolivian pollo a la Brasa, so I'm familiar with all the different varieties of seasoning needed for this type of food.. so I was no very impressed with the taste, it was just bland. Mashed potatos were also bland! A little seasoning goes a long way! The place was clean and neat, prices are comparable to other similar places in the area. I am a fan of Super Chicken in the city of falls church IF you like your pollo a la brasa well seasoned and tasty! Give them a try for comparison! I ordered empanadas and a horchata from the lady at the register, whom had a little attitude, and I get my food and ask for some of the yellow and green sauce and they tell me to pay for it. So they raise their prices constantly, give you less food, and can't give you a few sauces? I tipped her like 20 percent in hopes of getting treated well, but no one gives a rat's tail nowadays about tips, servers act like they are doing you a favor by clicking a few buttons on a register and NOT serving you. Tips are no longer earned, they are expected, whether they provide good or bad service. Empanadas were all dry and no ice given in my horchata. Too many other options out here. read more

The food is fresh and tasty and I'm a fan of their fried plantains. Although I get the same thing every time (quarter chicken dark, rice, plaintains), I've never been disappointed.
