    My cruiser they helped repair!

I needed a fix on both of my tires. They totally helped me out with that! I dropped off my bike and they called when they knew what they could do for my tires. They called and told me what I needed to get done as well as pricing. I gave them the OK to get to work on my bike and when it was finished, they called to let me know it was ready for pick up. I wasn't able to pick it up that day so they allowed me to pick it up the following day (which I thought was nice since they were incredibly busy) So the day I was supposed to pick up, I realized I wanted a basket lol. I called them and they were able to get the job done! Totally happy with the work they did and had great service. Only thing is that it is quite pricey!

Well, I called quite a few bike shops looking for this particular bike and all shops were sold out- Coco's Variety bike shop was the last on my list to call...so I called thinking they probably wouldn't have it either, but they did!!!! Yay! I got my hands on the last one!!! Can't wait to go on a bike ride next weekend Great customer service! Peter was super helpful and nice! It's always my pleasure supporting a small business! Thanks, Peter! Love my Linus bike Stay safe, healthy and happy Piah

I called & visited over a dozen bike shops and Coco's Variety was by far, the most pleasant experience. I never knew bike shops had their version of record-shop-guy & comic-book-guy, but yes, they exist. I haven't ridden a bike since I was in elementary school & know nothing about adult bikes, but over-the-phone and in-person, Peter & the entire staff was warm, welcoming, & had zero judgements. They are covid-safe, take distancing precautions, and everyone always wears masks. Even though Coco's is about an hour away from me, their customer service always makes the drive totally worth it.

Was looking around for bikes and most places were sold out on almost everything I wanted in my area. Decided to check out Coco's because they popped onto my Instagram feed. I was able to DM them and got a response right away. Drove up to them from Long Beach and decided on a Salsa Journeyman after Peter helped me out, who by the way is very friendly. I was so excited to get a bike that I got one a size too big but did not really notice until after a weekend ride. I emailed them back wondering if I can exchange the bike and Peter wrote back that it would be no problem at all. Now I'm riding the bike that feels perfect for me and I couldn't thank the team at Coco's enough! Would totally recommend!

Ok: SILVER LAKE SECRET TIME! This place is a water store, but shhhhhhh... they actually sell lots of things. Like bicycles. Like vintage bicycles that they fix up. Bicycle parts, locks, seats, etc. In fact, they also will repair and tune up your bike for a low price. But shhhhhhhh.... Let's not tell the world and then all of the bikes will be gone.... OMG, J/K! ROFL! LOL! SBSTSY! (it means nothing. Don't you hate those acronyms? God, I do.) Anyway, it actually isn't a secret, but no one seems to know about it. But can I say: GO! If you want a cheap bike that gets the job done, go here. The owner and his employee are the nicest people on planet earth, and the bikes are awesome. My gf got a bike here for about $130 and I got my bike repaired and tuned up for nothing. You want a road bike that's vintage and works well but you don't want to spend a bunch and go through Craigslist because you are worried about getting scammed? Go here. Also: they have some other fun stuff. I highly recommend you go here just for the hell of it. It's a rad store.

The guys were really helpful and friendly... I have a bamboo bike and they helped me assemble it, order the right tires and make sure it was safe .... nice crew there !

I could have spent hours in this shop but I was in and out quickly. This shop is conveniently located near the LA river bike path. There is a small amount of parallel car parking. The building is easy to find since it's painted with a bold mural in a geometric design. Inside there were several mechanics inside, below and surrounded by an army of new and vintage refurbished bicycles. I learned that one of the specialties of this shop is fitting old mountain bikes with all the amenities one would want in a city commuter bike. Check it out for yourself.

I made a call to the shop to ask if they can perform a safety check on a bike I built but they charge $70. That's just to look at my bike!

Ask the Community - Coco's Variety

Do they ask for more money to ask them to tape the handlebars and do they do extra to add the new brakes for the handles?

Not sure but, these guys are very dependable

Dylan was super helpful in answering all of our questions and we were able to try each bike out to see how they felt.

The space is super colorful, welcoming, and very dog-friendly--which made it an easy stop with my pup. I also thought it was really cool that there's a bike shop attached, giving it a unique, community feel. Their coffee and latte menu is pretty extensive, with lots of fun options. I ended up ordering a golden milk with an espresso shot, and it was such a good choice--warm, smooth, and just the right balance of earthy and bold. I didn't get a chance to try the food this time, but I saw several breakfast and lunch plates come out, and everything looked delicious. Definitely planning to come back hungry next time. Great spot for a casual stop, whether you're biking, walking, or just looking for a chill place to hang out.

I ordered the breakfast burrito with avocado. The size of the burrito was nice, I ate 3/4 of it. Eggs were solid, but the potatoes were occasionally burned? Based on where you bit into lol. Tortilla was good. Not the biggest fan of the smashed avocado in the burrito (I like whole avocado) but that's just a preference. Hot sauce was really good though! I'd come back if I were in the area.
