    Inside the code ninjas

Girls did the free trial and we decided to sign up. It is a family friendly place for afterschool activities. We enrolled in code ninjas jr. The owner Ram is flexible and friendly!!!

Summer camp review. My son loves this place. We signed up for 1 camp (roblox) initially to test the place out and after the second day, we signed up for 2 more weeks. The workers/senseis are very nice to my talkative son who loves to go on and on about computers and video games. My son learned so much this past week and wakes up really early in the morning eager to go back to code ninjas. This says a lot because he is definitely not a morning person. the facility is clean and the workers are very nice. We are going to try out the monthly classes after summer is over. If it's anything like the summer camps, I'm sure my son will love it just as much. Thanks for making my son's summer memorable!

My son is 7 and he loves code ninja. The staff is nice and very patient with the children. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

My daughter is thirteen and has been attending OAM Studios for the better part of eight years,…read moresince she was five. Before her very first trial class, I was afraid she would have trouble focusing and following directions. (Let's just say that in dance class she had mostly made faces at herself in the mirror or freestyled it unless I expended 200% of my energy making her practice her routines at home.) She went into her first art class wanting to draw a peacock chasing a cat, with no idea how. After an hour, her teacher had modeled a drawing for her, and she had paid attention beautifully, following his directions carefully. The teachers who work there have, from what I understand, been trained to teach art by building skills in sequential stages, helping students accomplish one skill and one project before moving on to the next. I believe this works well for all types of kids, not only for self-guided, serious kids, but especially for the playful ones, who need direction for their ideas. The staff knows how to be serious, but they are also wonderful at relating to some of my daughter's interests and talking to her in ways that I can't. She takes both pottery and the regular two-hour art lessons. Miss Molly and Miss Anissa are her teachers now, and she truly values their instruction and her time with them. OAM Studios continues to teach my daughter the importance of patience, perseverance, and attention to detail, values not only important to artistic growth but also in life. It takes a village to raise a kid, and OAM Studios has been a valuable part of our village.

Our family loves this place! The owner and staff are so nice and helpful! We are so grateful there…read moreis such a top notch gymnastics facility here in Tracy. I love watching the older gymnasts practice in addition to my kids. You can really get a good picture of the strength and good habits developed from training here. I definitely recommend this spot to all parents! They also now have adult classes too! Once my kids are older and I have the free time, I would love to try these classes.

I'm writing this because I'm honestly so upset and disappointed with how this Ninja program treats…read moreyoung kids -- it's completely unfair and honestly heartbreaking to watch. First of all, I've seen the head coach/manager of the ninja program constantly scold and belittle the boys when they have a hard time following directions or keeping up. It's rude, disrespectful, and so inappropriate -- these are kids! This is supposed to be a fun, positive class where they can move, learn, and feel proud of themselves, not a place where they get talked down to or embarrassed in front of others. I've complained about this same coach before, hoping something would change, but nothing ever does. It's really disappointing that this kind of behavior continues to be allowed. And then there's the ticket system. It's completely unfair and honestly feels cruel. At the end of class, the kids are lined up and only a few are chosen for tickets, while others -- including my son -- are left standing there empty-handed, over and over again. The coaches seem to pick the same kids every week, like they have favorites. My son comes home in tears thinking he did something wrong or just wasn't good enough. It breaks my heart. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way -- other parents I know have said the same thing. All kids should be encouraged and praised for their effort, not compared or made to feel less than. This is hurting their confidence and self-esteem. Something needs to change. Kids deserve a safe, positive, and encouraging space -- not one that makes them feel small or left out.
