Love it when I stumble across somewhere new! I had absolutely no idea this lovely Ethiopian inspired place existed until today...and apparently it's been open for 8 months!
Sadly I'd already eaten my breakfast by the time I got here...sad because the breakfasts look amazing! Coconut chia granola with cranberries, sultanas and almond milk?? Yes please! Organic chestnut mushrooms with thyme on toast? Phwooar! The brunch and lunch menus looked equally tempting - the special today was a cajun salmon and bulgar wheat salad with lemon zest mayonnaise. Sounds delicious!
Anyway, the skinny latte I ordered will have to make do for now and very nice it was too, just the right strength for me. What made it even nice was that I got presented with a teeny weeny pot of spiced popcorn (or 'Fandisha' in Ethiopian) on the side - coffee and popcorn is not normally something I would imagine going to together but it kinda works!
The lovely owner/manager I spoke to told me they are planning a new wine list and evening menu. I look forward to checking it out in the not too distant future! read more
