It is shaded by big beautiful trees (with lovely birds living in them) but you're otherwise exposed to the elements. The coffee is fantastic! I was excited to try Coffee Lab after seeing the high ratings, but unfortunately it missed the mark for me. I wasn't impressed by the acai bowls here. The consistency was too thin and not sweet enough - tasted like a watery berry smoothie. The portion was also quite small. We also tried the avocado toast - the small side of potatoes that came with it were a bit too starchy. My sister rated the coffee 5/5 - so maybe skip out on the food, but come for the drinks! read more

Went here because of the name. They have great outdoor patio seating. Perfect to sip an iced latte in the shade. Dogs are welcome of course! Our server explained a few ways they're able to brew and talked about their beans and roasting process. The food wasn't bad but I didn't really see anything that stood out. The best coffee I've had in Cabo! They roast their beans on property which makes a difference in the flavor of the coffee. I really recommend their cold brew or even a latte. I love that they had many different milk alternatives. Food wise, I had their breakfast burrito and it was delicious. Service was also very nice and our barista took time making in our coffees. Very safe COVID protocols with quick and friendly service when we went early in the AM. Good coffee/beverage options as well as variety of pastries and sandwiches. I enjoyed the warmed chocolate croissant and my hubby had a Mexican pastry. We did realize that the plastic straws are terrible, not only for the environment, but super quick to break. What a sweet place in Los Cabos. If you are using walking directions on IMAP or Google maps, it is easy to miss it. Look out for the sign that points down a small road until you will find coffee lab. They had a fairly limited menu,With a couple of savory items and several coffee selections.I had the café mocha that came out with a beautiful design combining the milk and the coffee.They had a special that day which was guava pie. It was very tasty. We enjoyed a leisurely stay there, and were delighted to have an opportunity to see the yellow Labrador retriever for which coffee lab gets its name.There were many other tourists there alongside of us. We found this place with great reviews and decided to try it. The cashier guy was very rude. It was a group of 5 of us and we all wanted to place our own order and pay individually. Sadly he became quickly annoyed as the expression on his face said it all. He then responded in a very agitated tone. We tried to be friendly with the female barista thinking maybe he's just having a bad day but she was as short tempered as him. As we start to receive our food order, we notice one of us is still waiting. The food arrived about 20 minutes after but it was wrong. The waiter looked lost but said it would get fixed. Another 20 minutes later the food did not arrive. I went back to the cashier and asked. Both the cashier and barista looked for the written order and the receipt to verify if the order was indeed wrong. Once they verified they appeared lost. Didn't offer to go to the kitchen and find out the status of the order remake. Instead they offered to refund the money. Very unapologetic. So I didn't eat. Absolutely unprofessional and lack of interest to correct the wrongdoing. Neither the barista nor the cashier cared to fix the matter. The waiter was the only one that appeared worried but seemed to be new and not know how to correct the matter. read more

What an excellent coffee shop--glad I found it early during my time in San Jose del Cabo. I think I went to the Coffee Lab five times, and it would have been six if they were open on Sundays. I had a pretty solid sampling of the menu: an espresso, a macchiato, a flat white, several pour overs, and half of their jamon Serrano panini. All the coffee was great--the pour over menu featured different coffees from around Mexico. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I took several other people here over the course of the week and they all enjoyed it as well. Not a ton of seating, but I wasn't interested in spending too much time inside, anyway. The food side of the menu is limited, but the panini was excellent (great bread, jamon, and good cheese-- hard to go wrong). This is a very coffee-focused place that also has a little bit of food, so probably not a breakfast/lunch spot. I don't think you'll find better coffee in the area (if you are in to third wave coffee-- if you want some Traditional favorites like cafe con leche and Cuban coffee, I suggest cafe ciudad in Cabo San Lucas). read more

We went to Coffee Lab today for Coffee and breakfast. Thankfully our Apple maps work or we wouldn't have found it and even with the iPhone it was a little off. This is a very cool spot and definitely what I would call trendy coffee spot - they make their coffees one at a time and use a pour over method from what we saw - we wanted an iced vanilla latte and they simply said "no" and we settled in on an iced latte. Apparently vanilla isn't something they stick and I didn't see any syrups. It was great and we enjoyed it. We ordered food - the menu is very limited and you can tell coffee is the focus. We had Avocado Toast and a Breakfast Sandwich. My first time trying the what I would call "Hipster" Avocado Toast and a Breakfast Sandwich which was an egg on a English Muffin with pesto, tomatoe, basil or something. Both were good and my wife and I shared both. The funny thing was both were served with ruffled potato chips - fruit or something would have made more sense to us for breakfast with coffee and they had plenty of fruit for smoothies. It was a cute place - I'm giving it 5 Stars for the creativity and "cuteness" - the coffee was made with care and so was the food - it was very slow and when we entered we were the only people in the place and another person came in and he ordered a couple drinks to go and he was there almost as long as us - don't go if you are in a hurry. Also the staff was not friendly or engaging and almost seemed bothered we were there - it may have been a language issue so again still 5 stars and we even bought a T-shirt for our 19 year old that works for a coffee place in the US. read more

Found Coffee Lab 2 years ago and loved it. It's locally owned and their coffee is excellent. I love that they have Oat Milk which is great for a latte when in the mood. Visiting San Jose del Cabo again this week and after a few days of mediocre coffee, I was motivated to take Uber here this morning. I was so happy to see they were open. I am sure it can't be easy after being forced to close for several months. Their coffee is still fantastic and the Avocado Toast is perfect. My latte was amazing and the modern feel created the perfect experience. This is a legit coffee house, so they don't have tons of flavors. Walked to this cafe from our hotel and it was a little hard to find since it was nestled on a street that looked like an alley. there were no other patrons at the shop when we visited and we were quickly attended to.
