I've lived in Allston/Brighton for a couple years now and I finally checked this place out for the first time today for brunch. I had a really great experience right off the bat. The woman at the counter was really sweet and accommodating and the interior of the cafe was really nice and cozy. We sat at one of the booths with cozy chairs and throw pillows and she brought us menus to look at. We ended up ordering the serpme breakfast which resembled a Turkish version of a charcuterie board that came with an assortment of cheeses and spreads, bread, fruits and vegetables, olives, an egg and sausage dish, and an egg and tomato dish. Everything on the board was delicious and we had a great time trying everything out. We also got two complimentary Turkish teas and ended up spending hours at the cafe. Had lunch next door a month ago and saw sandwich board that said "Turkish coffee and baklava" out front and thought that sounds good. Was back in Boston today and had a gyro near Fenway and thought that I could go for some baklava and coffee before heading home. Upon searching my bookmarks I thought I would head for Sofra which gets a lot of okay for having great pastries. But I had the memory of the sandwich board for Coffee Turco and decided if I could find a parking spot (I did) I would start there. Loved the presentation and the service. The little herbal gummy candies with coffee and the tall glass of water were just the right accompaniment to the order. I would recommend and will definitely be back. read more

My friend and I came here for a late breakfast at 10am on a Friday. We both had the mememen (eggs and tomatoes served with bread). The dish came with a choice of tea, coffee, or orange juice. There were only a few people there, but it took us a long time to get our food after we ordered. When we got our food, it was underseasoned and lukewarm. Very interesting place. It was fully authentic Turkish cuisine however it wasn't what I was expecting. The interior and service was excellent but the food was mediocre. The menema felt like I could make the dish at home for a quarter of the cost. It was good and portion size was very nice but the flavor and dish itself was quite underwhelming. Overall though my friends liked their dishes and it seemed like a nice hole in the wall so it was fine but overall I'd probably come here for bakery items like their baklava or coffee next time! read more

I love this place! I came in on a Sunday mid-afternoon and most of the tables were filled. There were some people studying/working, and they found a great place to do it- about half of the seating is couches formed into booths so it's very cozy to stay for a few hours. My friend and I split the Turkish serpme breakfast for two which consists of soujuk (beef sausage) and eggs, menemen eggs, feta cheese, kashkaval cheese, grilled halloumi, mozzarella, olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, berry jam, nutella, halva, honey with kaymak, simit (Turkish bagel), cheese pogaça, and white bread. The Turkish coffee and tea were both great, and we tried the wake up sandwich which comes on a croissant and is one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in a while. I have been searching for a good Turkish breakfast in Boston for ages, and Coffee Turco was a perfect place that fit my expectations. My friend and I ordered the SERPME breakfast for 2 people, and it was delicious. There was such a wide variety of foods that came in the breakfast, both savory and sweet, as well as bread and a complimentary drink. The portion was great - there was even a lot of food left over after we finished eating, and it is well priced for the amount of food we got. My favorite things were the ajvar and the jam, and the simit was so fresh too. The cafe itself is so aesthetic and very nicely decorated, and it truly feels like such a cozy spot. Very cute and almost hidden Turkish coffee bar in the middle of downtown Allston. We stopped in one morning hoping to grab a quick coffee for the road, and were immediately drawn in to stay when we saw the cozy atmosphere and spoke with the welcoming and friendly staff. I ordered the Turkish coffee, and knowing that it was my first time trying one, the waitress brought out sugar cubes with my order and explained to me the best way to drink the coffee. The chocolate pistachio baklava was flaky as it should be but the sweetness almost knocked me out after one bite lol. The cheese pie was the most exciting part! Finally popped in here after many times of just walking by, and I was glad we did! It has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere and decor, and the staff are very friendly and sweet. They seem like they take a lot of care with the restaurant. For food, we got a Turkish coffee, an iced coffee, the croissant sandwich, the hummus wrap, and two types of baklava - the pistachio and the milky hazelnut. Everything was delicious and felt like it was made with care, especially the baklava - slightly expensive, but tasted very homemade and probably the best I've had in Boston so far. Overall, I'm excited to come back. We saw someone get the serpme breakfast which looked insanely good, so I'm looking forward to trying that! read more

I do not particularly like Turkish coffee but I began to appreciate it quite a bit just because of how long I sat here. Turkish coffee is probably meant for one teensy sip at a time while you are chatting away with your friends. Also the food was presented with great care. Cute place. We came here around noon for lunch on a Sunday and it was fairly packed with a live band just wrapping up. A lot of people ordered the supreme breakfast but, as it was our first time here, we opted to go with the standard breakfast, chef's salad and pistachio baklava. The food here was excellent. Everything was fresh and delicious; I especially loved the honey soaked baklava. Definitely brings me back to my study abroad days in Greece. First time to try Turkish coffee it's very strong but I can accept it. Making method is very different and there are coffee grains left in the cup. Waffle is covered by light cream, very little, close to yogurt. read more

I've been here twice. I called in to ask if it was halal, they said everything but the turkey. I thought that was funny considering it's a Turkish place. This place is so good!!!!! It is a cute/cozy cafe extension of Turkish Lazuri next door. I've come here multiple times and I always feel so at home. The coffee is delicious, the pastries are all fresh and homemade, and the breakfast is divine. I highly recommend the menemen eggs. If you get the deluxe version, you receive about 15 little appetizers as well as a few delicious warm buns.
