I was very impressed with this coffee house. They roast their own coffee, make their own syrups, they even make their own ice cream! They have fascinating coffee machinery inside that I could watch for hours. Really cool. I had a blended latte with almond milk and dark chocolate and it was really, really good. I also had a toasted blueberry bagel with butter - delicious. The customer service was perfect, friendly and polite. She was not friendly at all and it seemed like all she was interested was doodling on some paper instead of taking my order and the customers that came after me. What a find, I don't drink coffee anymore, but I do drink chai. They steep their chai for like 12-24 hours I think? It's long, and all their syrups are homemade. My husband ordered a cold brew (served as an iced vanilla latte), which he loved. We plan on going back here next time we're in the Watsonville area. When that does happen, they'll be located in a larger shop in the same shopping center. Parking is not an issue out here, tons of parking. read more

If you are in need of caffeine while you are in Santa Cruz, this is the place to visit. The staff is so nice and really loves what they do. The weekend barista seemed like he knows everyone and loves to chat about beans and drinks to his regulars. It's nice to see businesses being a part of their community and really connecting with their patrons. The coffee is great here. I come here for ice lattes when I am in town. Once when I was visiting, they were closing but was still willing to take my order. The barista joked that he would never turn down an order if someone needed coffee. I stumbled upon this place while at my daughters volleyball tournament at Watsonville HS. While on a coffee run to Starbucks I decided to look for local coffee shop and the name caught my attention. I went in and was overwhelmed with the options! You can literally customize anything you want, hot or cold and the staff is so friendly and patient, different milk selections etc. I was sold on the coffee and flower flavors kind of felt like i was selecting from a list of aromas! I chose a coconut, dark chocolate, hazelnut with whole milk mocha and it was to die for, recommended to me from one of the staff, was also tempted to try the coconut rasberry that was suggested, anyhow prices were great and if you check in you get 15% off. I ordered a blended latte or "frappe" and had to try their house made flavors. They have soo many to choose from i was almost torn but I went with butterscotch. I didn't regret it. Got the organic chai latte. It's got a good amount of chai spice but little light on sweetness (I've got a sweet tooth so I'm used to the sweetness of Starbucks chai lattes). You could probably adjust it to your sweetness if you wanted. It has a bit of a peppery kick at the end. Also, the default recipe is soy milk so if you don't like the taste of soy definitely request otherwise cause you can taste the soy milk. Tried my bf's black coffee. It was bitter and watered down (meaning the flavor dissipated quickly). Nice local shop but I've had better. read more

Was in the area and needed a little picker upper and I'm so glad that I came across this place! I've never been to a coffee shop that was an all in one stop!! Coffeeville roasts their coffee in house, as well as make their own syrups! Staff was super welcoming and even gave great recommendations. Out of all the cafes that I've been to, this is the first that actually charges based on the amount of shots ordered, and not by the cup size. Interesting, but also fair. My only complaint was that the pizza piroshki was not fresh. I couldn't even finish it because it was dry & the bread got hard upon reheating. read more

This was one of my favorite coffee shops because it was so close to home and I love supporting local businesses. They also had friendly staff when Vanessa, Abie and Laura were there! However, it has changed a lot and I wont be returning after today. I usually order a 160z drink that has always been $3.50 which is half a cup of coffee and steamed milk (not much) since they opened. Today the owner Mike decided to change it to $5.75...He's usually not there and doesn't know his own business or customers. I tried explaining to him what my drink was, and he said that his staff had been charging me wrong the whole time (over a year and a half?) he began yelling at his employees saying that's why we charge correctly? (Btw there was customers in there, it made me feel very uncomfortable !) Please don't support business owners like him. Hi Kendra- I appreciate you responding. Order two iced lattes the other morning. A Irish cream and chocolate flavored. They both tasted like watered down espresso. When I complained about the Irish cream and asked for a plain vanilla latte instead, the girl with the pink hair told me I would have to pay for another one. That the Irish cream is not good and she was worried when she saw I ordered it. Another barista insisted that I wouldn't need to pay. But the first barista made sure to charge me and told me she hoped I liked it. I didn't. This place is amazing. It's literally within walking distance from the Oceana Inn. The coffee shop is small, and during the day there was not a lot of people there, so it was very quiet. The played an alternative rock station, so you can sip, relax, and just enjoy the day with R.E.M, The Cranberries, and the like playing in your ears. There was only one woman working and she was amazing. Friendly vibe, plus she was totally singing along to the music. I ordered the Misto, which is different from what I normally get; a regular black coffee. The half steamed milk and half brewed coffee drink was delicious. The place is covered wall to wall in art, both paintings and photographs. There is a giant COFFEE sign just in case you forgot where you were, and they also have treats behind glass for you to gawk at; I'm talking to you Mr. Donuts. Don't settle for a chain like Starbucks. The blended latte will change your life... they don't skimp on the rich espresso and caffeine. They blended in some espresso beans for a little crunch and it was the best blended coffee I've ever had. The drinks aren't cheap, but they use the best ingredients and have a ton of options to cater to any dietary wants to restrictions. Happy to spend a little extra for such an array of options and a staff that can help you through each of them. The same goes for the food, equally amazing. The sandwiches are big, but most come in half options. The most popular one I see eaten is the vegetarian artichoke sandwich, and the breakfast sandwiches look impressive. The turkey on focaccia with pesto when pressed with the panini grill is delicious and has the perfect crunch. They have gluten free snacks, and use organic and free range products and you can taste the quality. The outdoor patio is always full, and while you may need to wait a bit, it is a great local spot with the highest quality of products and great staff all around.
