This is our second stay at the CBD Motor Inn and we still think that it's the best option for a Coffs Harbour stay. The motel was renovated a couple of years ago, so the rooms are fresh and modern. We really like the location because it's just a short walk to the shops and restaurants, but this does mean that it can be noisy because it's right on the Pacific Highway. Earplugs are supplied and you can also ask for a room at the back of the complex. We did find the bathrooms a little bit too small for comfort, so it's not a great option for a longer stay. 2 September 2019 Best motel in town!! This is an older style motel that has been given a complete makeover. The rooms are spacious, modern and finished to a high standard. The bathrooms are a little compact, but other than that the room has everything you need. We loved the extra touches - leaf tea, fridge, microwave, flannel, large fluffy towels and super comfortable bed. It's in a great location on the Pacific Highway and just a short walk to the shops and restaurants. It can be a little noisy though so try to get a room at the back of the property (earplugs are provided). Our host Rodney was super friendly and helpful - gave us some good restaurant and activity suggestions!

As such I suspect having fancy facilities wouldn't really work, especially how most of the time it is rather empty. Oh, it is also closed for a part of the day, which is really annoying.

The location is great and easy to find being right near the Big Banana…read more The staff are friendly but not very helpful when you arrive. You would expect that when a group of 8 of you check in they would assist with getting all your luggage to your room which was a big FAIL. The room we stayed in was very clean and had generous rooms. The kitchen was very well appointed and well equipped with what you would expect from a resort. The Buree we stayed in was the family room and it had four bedrooms with three bathrooms, one of which had a spa bath. The free Austar/Foxtel was great for the days that weren't very good weather wise but be warned, the resort offers WIFI but it's very expensive. If you have time to use or need internet access, you may be better off going to your local telco and buying a wifi/3G USB dongle. Plenty of parking but a fair distance from the reception if you have lots of luggage to carry. Although the resort does have use of trolleys. The restaurant overlooking the ocean was very picturesque and the food was very nice and very reasonably priced. Lunchtime time mains were around $15 and very tasty. The many pools on the grounds of the resort meant there was no shortage of cooling off after a day of sight seeing around Coffs Harbour. Even on wet days, the outdoor heated spa baths were very relaxing. Then of course there was the beach which was only a short walk from the resort. A wonderful location for families as there were plenty of things to do. The kids swimming area with water slide was a big hit with my niece. Final analysis: It's an 8 out of 10 for me. Great family getaway. Good way to unwind and relax.

Boutique Coffs Harbour Stay We were travelling from Brisbane…read moreto the Hunter Valley, and this 1-bedroom holiday apartment is in a convenient location just a short distance from the Pacific Motorway and a short 4 km drive into Coffs Harbourl! The bedroom had a super comfortable king bed, ensuite bathroom, ceiling fans and air conditioning, and the main kitchen/dining/living room area also has air conditioning. The kitchen was incredibly well-equipped with a fridge freezer, 4 burner electric cooktop, oven, microwave, coffee machine, various other appliances, cookware, crockery, cutlery, and glassware. The kitchen was well-stocked with supplies - coffee, tea, milk, and salt, pepper and condiments and there are even some laundry facilities. There is a small balcony outside the bedroom with access to a shared pool. Gail is a fabulous host - she is extremely friendly and helpful. Our welcome with warm apple cinnamon muffins, a bottle of wine and a breakfast hamper (with homemade muesli, yogurt, bacon, eggs, bread, butter, jam, vegemite, peanut butter, and orange juice) was a lovely surprise. If I had to pick anything to complain about it would be a few dirty spots on the side of the tent. Some people might not like hearing the kookaburras early in the morning but I love hearing them.
