Not sure what happened with the other reviewer, but I was much impressed by this place in comparison to its competitor on Bank St. I do recommend doing some research beforehand so you have an idea of what you would like to do, but this studio has silk screens, stencils and other useful tools to get you creating!

The owner(?) was friendly and knowledgeable enough, and gave us good advice. But we were not able to use their services in the immediate future. Will update further if and when we are able to do so. He claims to be the only place in Ottawa that does framing in-house. WRONG Pictures Plus in the Market also does it in house -- Its Expensive. He charged me $200 for a wooden frame. Pictures Plus charged me $89 last year for the same size frame, same wood, same color, but better quality. -- Quality sucks. My frame had scratches all over it, when I complained, he KICKED ME OUT! --- STAY AWAY!

Very rude and impatient service. I was referred to this store for framing and to replace some art…read morepieces which were lost in a house fire. I was namely interested in the fact that they carry work by A.J. Casson which we lost in the fire. Once I asked for prices on replacing frames and that i needed the information for insurance purposes, I was told "I'm too busy". So I said I have one more question and was told "I'm busy" and he proceeded to look at his phone and appeared to be texting. So I persisted and said that I was interested in Casson specifically because I had lost a whole collection of Casson's work and the reply was "I don't know what it's worth, you'll have to go on line and find it" and he just carried on with his phone and ignored me. I have several pieces which were damaged in the fire and are in need of re-framing but I didn't dare mention that because I knew the answer,"I'm too busy".
