We spent our adult life getting our credit scores over 750 and now we were opting to foreclose on our first home. We walked into Attorney Tim Pletter's office for the first time last year feeling ashamed, embarrassed, depressed, nervous and were probably at the worst point our marriage could get. When we left his office we felt HOPEFUL for the first time in YEARS. Tim was very straightforward. He'd cancel appointments last minute and then accused his clients of not being transparent. He did not take feedback well. He also judged us rather than asked questions to determine next steps. He was unfamiliar with a real estate transaction that nowadays has become popular and due to his lack of knowledge and inability to actively listen made many poor assumptions. The people within this firm suggest spheres of influence and good looks but for whom do these attributes benefit? Clearly it is them NOT their new clients. It may be a good idea to search independent articles regarding the firm's relations with previous clients before you commit yourself to their influence.

For an $1,800 debt they agreed to a payment plan of $100 a month. The catch was a $50 per month "legal monitoring fee" and a $250 "plan setup fee" So they actually wanted their legal fees to be the same as the debt payments, plus the additional standard legal fees that happened to be half the cost of the entire debt. So I ended up paying almost $4,000, which is more than 100% profit. Nice for them. If I could give 100 negative stars I would. So go ahead and use this collection agency (oh, excuse me... Lexington Green's premier attorney firm... blah blah) but realize that they are heartless, and not willing to consider any circumstance beyond filling up their Mercedes' gas tanks.

The foreclosure sale happened on 3/16/24. Today is 6/18/24 and I still have not closed because this lawyer did prepare the Committee's Deed properly and now I have to wait again to get the Order from Bridgeport Superior Court. He has done nothing to expedite the process of approving the foreclosure sale despite the fact that it was his fault that it has been delayed due to him not preparing the deed correctly. If I had known that this lawyer was not going to prepare the deed properly, I would not had bid on this condo.
