DO NOT RECOMMEND. He delayed closing for 9 months. Him and his office did not answer emails, phone calls, etc. It would take 2-3 weeks to hear a response from the attorney on any small detail/question. Aside from the lack of responsiveness, the quality and professionalism of his office was beyond poor. The office and Andrew would not follow up to facilitate closing and/or contact necessary parties. Make sure you get a full breakdown of all costs before closing. I was told a power of attorney was $250 when they charge me 500. I was under the impression the $250 covered the whole transaction of the closing and not individually with my wife and I. Because I wasn't given this information I was an extra $250 in the hole. If I had been given that information I would have flew up to New York myself for a lot cheaper than $500 and avoided the cost all together. read more

These prior reviews relate to the fact the Andrew is a nice guy, no question, but seriously, if your purchase or sale is anything but straight forward and normal, you will wind up either doing the leg work yourself or losing your purchase/sale. An attorney too busy to return his clients calls and that only responds to the real estate agent or via email is not worth your $950.00. The generation and organization of paperwork is a burden his staff handles with ease allowing Andy the time to not answer your calls or to determine what monies his abstract company should be paid. I was referred to Mr. Cohen by my Realtor. At first I was a bit wary of having a referral from my Realtor BUT Mr. Cohen and his staff were such a blessing to deal with. I hired him for a real estate closing in the State of New Jersey. I'm in the same business of real estate closing but for the State of New York and therefore needed the services of an attorney for the State of New Jersey. The entire transaction went smoothly. Mr. Cohen was very responsive to ALL of my emails and phone calls and when I say ALL I mean more than 100s of emails back and forth. The transaction took a couple of months but in no way at fault by Mr. Cohen, all delays were due to the Seller and the slow recovery of companies due to COVID. All in all, I will be using Mr. Cohen in the future and I've already sent recommendations to my family and friends for any real estate transaction for the State of NJ.
