There are a whole lot less crazies here. A single load will run you $1.25 A double, $2.50 A triple, $3.00 ---- best deal! (in case you can't do the math) There's a change machine (and it works) and a pop machine for $1 a can. There is also a convenience store next door if you should need any supplies during your adventure through laundry land.

(If you don't believe me, use one of the top loading machines that do not lock during the wash, let it fill with supposed 'hot' water, and stick your hand in it). I had resigned myself to believing that perhaps all laundromats in the city keep their water temperature low to save costs and continued to use this location - until today. I tried the other laundromat in the area and to my surprise, their hot water is ACTUALLY HOT. If you don't mind washing all your clothes in cold water then this place is fine - but I will be making the extra 1 block walk from now on. Enough leftover soap residue and not-so-clean-smelling clothes for me.

Detergent available for sale and you can easily break your bills/coins into quarters with the owner. Another service they offer is that they can fold your dried clothes, but not sure how much this is.

I've been short-changed here before because quarters were just dumped in my hand instead of counted out for me. The pricing keeps getting more and more expensive ($6 in Nov '18 to use a large washer and however much more to dry, the price varies as the machines don't always work). It's becoming untenable for ageing machines despite spending money to renovate their service area, and very bad service. It's the business' duty to guarantee the machines are working, and when they're not working, it's their job to believe clients and make it right, instead of telling paying clients they can choose to put more money in for broken machines. I avoid doing laundry here as much as possible. I also hate leaving reviews like this, even worse for places in The Market. But honesty and community is important, and you get what you give ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

She went above and beyond to make sure everything was running smoothly and that we had everything we needed. It's rare to see someone take so much pride in their work and care so much about the customers. The entire place was spotless including the bathroom and well-maintained, which made doing laundry there so much more comfortable. Donna's positive attitude and willingness to help really stood out and made the whole experience easy and pleasant. If you're going to Laundry Boss, you'll be lucky if Donna is there. That's how I felt about Harbord Coinwash after the disaster that was my old laundromat. It sounds like a basic concept, washers that work and wash your clothes, and dryers that actually dry your clothes, not to a ton of laundromat in Toronto sadly. They had a variety of different sized laundry machines and front loading machines. Not to mention that the price changes based on the level of soiling and heat of the water, which is much appreciated. A cold wash in a front loading machine? My wallet and Mother Earth thanks you. The dryers are some of the most reasonably priced dryers that actually work. In addition to effective washers and dryers, the owner clearly has put some love into the decor of the place, making me feel comfortable chilling out while waiting for my laundry to dry. This is as opposed to some of the much dirtier, never been cleaned before places around. While this place is a little further from me than many many other laundromat, I think the walk is worth it, not only am I satisfied with everything, I'd rather give my money to someone who appreciates their customers.

This happened with both a dryer and with a washing machine. When I first realized my new apartment had no laundry I was absolutely gutted. How can you have bay windows, hardwood floors, such a big kitschy kitchen, an adorable porch and no laundry*? The pros outweighed the cons so I reluctantly moved in. What can I say? I love fresh clothes. Well luckily, George's is mere steps away and I've truly come to embrace my laundromat time. They don't have Wifi, but I tether to my phone (like a boss), bring a tea, my purple wheelie suitcase and post up at one of their folding stations. They have 6-8 triple load washers and about the same amount of top-loaders. Their dryers are massive and quick, and 54 minutes (I think that's 6 quarters) dries about 10 days worth of dryer friendly clothes. If you aren't into tethering to your phone and making a folding table your desk just enjoy a good book and the people watching. Sidebar: folks tend to wear the funniest stuff on laundry day. PEPPER POINTS for their detergent and change machines. Who has that many quarters normally? No one. *Braggity-brag.
