They only recommend needed services and do not try to instill fear to upsell. We recently bought a home that had pets and we noticed flea presence. Yuck! Barbara empathized with us and scheduled a spray as soon as possible. Elliott showed up on time and performed the needed service. As I was a bit frazzled about moving my family into a safe home, Elliott empathized with us by telling me his home buying experience which put me a bit at ease. EVERYTHING went well. Someone was here two hours after my initial phone call! Elliot came on this call and has about 15 years experience and he was relaxed and was easy to talk to. I was not relaxed because I had found evidence of a rat. Not only did he answer my questions and set traps he gave me more information and to say that I was impressed with him and his company is an understatement. He came back 6 days later to check traps. If I came across a trap that had trapped something, they have a same-day service six days a week to come and remove it. This is a family owned business and I prefer hiring this kind of business because they have more of an interest in satisfying their customers. There's more to be done that I have arranged for them to do and so far I am happy and pleased with the service I've received from this company. There are a few very small jobs and some big jobs associated with closing access to pests around my home and they are able to do everything I will need including climbing on my roof to seal small holes that could provide access to my home. I rarely write reviews, but this is necessary. This man, Colby, is charging $195 quarterly. As someone who has been in the pest control industry for a while and is now living in the same neighborhood as Colby, I am shocked. The neighbors all use him because he knocked on their door and wanted to support a small business. Colby is fully taking advantage of people. No pest control service is $195 a quarter, especially when it's just a basic spray and Dewebbing. (No rat/mice protection or mosquitos ). Myself as many other neighbors caught on quick and are now being taken care of by other companies. Save your money and find a professional. read more

Hired this company for 3 months due to mosquito issue. Was promised he can take care of it 100% and he was so confident. Didnt work at all. Asked to come over during our svc period because the problem was getting worse but never showed up except the days he collects the monthly payment. Wonder how he has this much of good reviews. I chose Colby Pest Control because 1) they've been in business for a long time 2) The owner, Glenn Colby came highly recommended from a local Fullerton friend and 3) I needed a pest control problem resolved quickly without any hassles. I felt immediately comfortable talking with the owner (Glenn) as he looked around the building and explained to me where he would spray and why there was an issue. It was great to talk to a professional who truly understands pest control and is able to do it wonderfully. He scheduled a time that he could come and do the treatment ( by the way, the best part was that he came early in the morning BEFORE the start of my day so that it wouldn't interrupt business.) Hired him to help with a rodent problem that we had. I WILL NEVER USE HIM AGAIN. HE VIOLATED OUR TRUST BY ALLOWING HIM INTO OUR HOME AND TURNED ON US!!! He totally threw us under the bus by telling our landlord that the infestation was our fault!!! We have a huge avocado tree that attracts these rodents. Glen came to our house and seemed pleasant and knowledgeable. After he helped us, he totally screwed up over. Will never trust him again. His half assed job cost us over 700.00 and after we paid him, he tried to collect from our landlord!!! How do I know?? Our landlord called me!!! Update/ You are so full of crap, not only did you discuss with our landlord that the rodent problem was our fault, YOU EVEN PUT IT IN A LETTER THAT THE LANDLORD SHOWED US. My parents have NEVER used a pest control service, but my siblings and I have become weary of the bugs especially outside in the summer!!! Colby Pest Control was a worthy choice and great experience. Colby has been our "go to" for control of ants and spiders. Family owned. Very very trustworthy. Uses a neat app to keep you up to date on your appointment. Usually on time and if not, they let you know. Fully explains what to look for on where the spiders are laying eggs etc. Uses pet safe chemicals so no worries. He gave me a true education, then proceeded to do the BEST job of spraying outdoors that has ever been done here. Previous companies were 15 minutes and done. Glenn took the better part of an hour. I have been using them for years, in the home I grew up in and in the house i have been renting most recently. My first house was by a trail that had rats that would run along it and therefor come into our house and back yard which they were able to secure the house so that they were unable to come in. At the current home we are by the riverbed which has a similar problem but Glen and Elliott once again were on top of it finding the entry points and shutting them off as well as "eliminating" the outside ones and their run paths. Glenn Colby is awesome! I used his services a few months ago after finding him on yelp. Ants were hosting a full frontal attack on our house, and while we, our ant traps, and our vacuum were winning some small battles, we were losing the war. We also had a few widows in our backyard, which normally we wouldn't be terribly concerned with, but with a new, curious puppy, we thought it best to get rid of them. In looking for a pest service, we were concerned about the safety of the chemicals and the health of our puppy. I was happy to see that Colby is green shield certified and that they weren't in the practice of just spraying willy-nilly. Glenn was incredible. I have never met a person so passionate about their job. He is a self described bug man, and loved telling me about his past experiences with ants, bedbugs, and spiders. His stories were very entertaining and most importantly, I learned so much about the Argentine ants, their behaviors, how they move, what they look for, etc. He is a wealth of information. He place maybe 2 traps in strategic locations and the ants were gone within days. When I told him about our backyard widows, he knew exactly where to look for them. In fact, he found one in our sliding door frame, and just picked it up with his fingers. Glenn taught me about the difference between brown widows and black widows, showed me what their webs look like, and showed me where to look for them. He did a thorough web sweep in our backyard as well. It's been 3 months and we haven't seen any widows or ants since. Glenn will be the first person I call if they ever return. read more

Outstanding service! If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I called Glenn about a problem with flies outside of my house. He was here bright and early the next morning, and was very polite and personable. He spent about 45 minutes working to find the source of the problem. When it came time to apply treatment, I was sensitive to the odor (my sense of smell is very high and strong odors cause me to become ill). Glenn took one look at my reaction and said he didn't think he should go ahead with the treatment. I was very impressed that he was honest with me even though it would cost him money. When I asked what I owed him, he replied that I didn't owe him anything since he hadn't done a treatment. I asked if I could at least pay him for his time and he reluctantly said I could pay him $25. read more

For many years, I was fighting a losing battle against garden ants, spiders, and crickets using homedepot bug sprays and baits around the house. I was somewhat reluctant to use professional services because I have a pet. Anyhow, I've found recently that 2 different species of ants have finally gotten through my walls and started to roam around my bathroom then quickly spread to my living room and kitchen area. I had to call it quits and look for a pro. Colby Pest Control has little but all good reviews and is close to my home. Scheduling was easy and Mr. Colby showed up well within the scheduled time window then he performed the procedures in-out-around the house very thoroughly spending nearly 2 hours.
