Only writing this because i have never experienced this type of service at any Cold Stone Creamery before. I went in Sunday, Nov 19, 2023, around 5:25pm. 2 of the 3 workers that helped us out were great! They were nice and they asked us about lids and if we wanted anything mixed in, etc, they typical questions you normally would ask a customer. But one of the employees, didn't catch their name, but has jet back hair and bangs, that specific employee was not friendly. I had asked since we had a big order, that I'd want lids on all ice cream cups. That employee wasn't there to hear that, but when that employee handed me my nieces ice cream, which was a very simple order of Oreo ice cream with sprinkles, the sprinkles were not mixed in (i was going to let that pass since it was just sprinkles) and there was a spoon in the ice cream. BUT here's the kicker, i said "oh actually I'd like a lid please." the employee gave me the lid, so all is great but to my surprise, the now dirty spoon that was in the ice cream, ended up in our bag with all other ice creams. Getting the bag dirty. So that's the first thing that happened. Secondly, i ordered mint and sweet cream with gram cracker pie crust and COOKIE DOUGH, as you can see by the picture no part of my order was mixed, not the ice creams or toppings. I was going to speak up but i assumed it was going to get mixed because why wouldn't it? The employee never asked if i wanted it not mixed. So i just think it's crazy how a big chunk of cookie dough on top of ice cream is okay, knowing i didn't specify that i wanted it that way. What honestly set me off on even wanting to post on here is that i thought she had given us 5 clean spoons, but no, she gave us the dirty spoon and not even an extra clean one. I am also surprised that the 2 other employees that helped us out didn't notice that, they weren't busy at all at that moment. Overall, I'm just confused on how that's okay? So, i hope a manager or the owner of the Madera Cold Stone sees this, just to remind their employees to pay more attention. I know it's just ice cream but service does matter :) read more

Stopped at our local coldstone and got one waffle cone and one pink cotton candy with m&m's. This particular location is always clean and staff is always friendly. Only advice I would give is to turn down music just a tad so they can clearly hear our orders. I would definitely recommend. read more

I came into Cold Stone today around 12:15pm on 8/24/18. It was totally empty which I was very surprised. When I entered I was greeted by staff immediately and popping music. The staff informed me that I can try as many samples as I wanted, not trying to be greedy I tried two samples as I already had in mind what I wanted. The samples I tried was Strawberry Cake Batter and Cheese Cake -delicious. I ended up going with my favorite Banana ice cream with Fudge and Roasted Almonds mixed in. This place was VERY clean and smelled good. The music was great and the staff was very friendly. I am sad to see how empty this Cold Stone was...however may be busier at different times. They have so many delicious ice cream options and toppings and I must say my ice cream was very delicious. It taste better than Fresno Cold Stone in my opinion. Don't let the other reviews scare you! Well it sure is nice to have more options in this town, I can hope it lasts the frugality.. I came in about a week after opening and the store is pretty roomy with plenty of seating inside and out. The staff were all friendly and the ice cream cakes looked really good. On the menu - Ice cream/Cakes, Shakes, Hot Stone items and Smoothies. The brownies looked great on the counter right in your face as you order you can't help but stare at them. The whip cream on my shake was hella good -The "oh fudge" part did not have a chance after I got ahold of it. I think I'm going to have to give up my other milkshake spot in Madera and come here mainly for the good ice cream being used and the cleanliness of the store and equipment. Terrible and rude service Mali refused to help when it BOGO coupon crashed and deleted with out giving us the reward she said there was no corporate or higher up number she could give me she also said there was no manger there and gave me a number to call that was a fax number. This is the worst cold stone ever. Cockroaches everywhere, found hair in my food. Not all the employees were properly covering their hair. Employees were rude and uneducated about their own product. They have a cord reaching across the floor in front of the ice cream that is obviously a fire hazard. read more

It was very busy but they were still very accommodating and still had smiles on their faces. What I really appreciated was it was my son's 4th Birthday in late June. We asked instead of the tip song would they be willing to sing him Happy Birthday. With out hesitation the owner said of course. It was a packed house and it brought a huge smile to my son's face. I am so dissatisfied. I ordered a cake and had requested a special message to be written on the cake and had it delivered to my friends house for a surprise. The cake however did not have my requested writing on it. I would not have ordered a plan ass cake that cost $33 if I didn't want it to be customized the way I ordered it. I called and asked if I could potentially get a refund or if they could remake it the way I had ordered and paid for it to be. They pretty much said no refund and that I could bring the cake back so they can write on it. Right before driving to Cold Stone, I looked up the hours of operation because my friend came down from Visalia and it stated online that Cold Stone closes at 11pm.
