Halo Halo is a traditional Filipino snack/dessert we grew up with cooking us down from the heat of our motherland, the Philippine Islands. It's the Filipino version of America's ice cream treat and a more sophisticated hawaiian shaved ice concocted with evaporated or condensed milk, sweetened beans, leche flan, crunchy flattened dried rice (pinipig) to give it that crunch and Filipino flavored ice cream. Ben's came highly recommended by my dad and his girlfriend who was taken here by my dad's friend escaping a funeral in the hottest part of the summer. This place lived up to the hype! It is air conditioned, very clean and inviting. They have different types of halo halo to choose from varying from Ben's original traditional famous halo halo to spicy with their Spicy Winter Halo Halo, corn (mais Con Yelo), Macapuno (Sweet Coconut Strands) and even a unique take on sweet and salty with their salted egg version of Salty Summer. For an average of about $2 each, these icy treats are a must find here in the town of Silang. Ben's is located in the heart of Silang Town Proper about a block down the main big Catholic church of Candelaria. Management has a sign up protecting their employees from customer abuse which made me very good inside for the level of care the owners exercise in protecting and caring for their employees. My sister ordered their cucumber water which we found to be extremely sweet. We self served ourselves with water from their self serve water station and poured half of the cucumber water in a glass and poured regular water in it to dilute the sweetness to taste. It was very good once we added more water. The mango juice I ordered came from a can and the brand they have on hand is quite delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed my Spicy Winter Halo Halo. The heat from the hot Thai chili peppers compliments the sweetness of the halo halo which is literally translated as "mix mix". There are other halo halo joints around Silang but at first taste, this became an instant favorite. The ice is very fine, not crunchy and it reminded me of Japanese Kakigori which is crushed fine ice. I highly recommend stopping by and fulfilling your halo halo urge here!

I assure you that the restaurant is worth your time and money…read more The staff was attentive, respectful, and what we liked the most was that they are knowledgeable about The Domaine's food offering. Ordering also was pretty convenient since we just ordered from their iPad with their mobile application installed in it. It was like ordering online, but better and we get to see the total bill right away. They have already launched their mobile applications downloadable from the Google Play store and the Apple App store that is entirely free. This is so customers can just eat upon arriving and there will no longer be conflicts on payments. We dined here for lunch and we had an exquisite food experience. For drinks, we had their Calamansi Vanilla and Cinnamon Iced Tea. They served a complimentary appetizer which was garlic bread with three kinds of dips: garlic puree, balsamic caramel, and smoked fish tapenade. Meanwhile, for our food, we had fresh mozzarella and grilled sweet bell pepper salad with toasted citrus dressing and roasted rib eye a la "blanquette" with sauteed parsley rice. All those were solo servings since it was already good enough for the two of us. For desserts, we had their trio of homemade ice cream consisting of gingerbread ice cream, rose ice cream and salted caramel ice cream. The other dessert we got to try was madeleines that are Jasmine tea with Mango, Earl Grey and Four Berries. This is absolutely has become one of my favorite restaurants.

The parking lot is still muddy especially when it rains since it's still made out of dirt. They have an attendant directing you where to park that also helps you get back into Emilio Aguinaldo Highway by stopping the On coming cars and safely guiding you out but we do suggest tipping them for this seeevice at least P20. There is a gift shop attached to a Korean Massage place to the right, so you want to go to your left. The first establishment is their cafe and you want to keep walking under the awnings to the Korean BBQ Grill It Yourself restaurant. Don't expect anything fancy inside as it will detract from the quality of the vegetables and food inside. In America, we are used to marinated Korean bbq in a red sauce when we go out. Over here, it is more traditionally cut meat seasoned with salt and pepper grilled to your liking. What's impressive are their vegetable side dishes. Wow! Vegetables are superior quality grown and obtained in their own gardens! You can go outside and buy some to go when you're done eating as well. They're beautiful and delicious adding to such a wonderful dining experience! The style of how you eat it heree is more BBQ wraps style. They give you a generous selection of varying lettuce that you dress with a bagoong Sauce then some pickled side vegetable dishes then meat you've grilled them wrap it and eat it. You can also order rice which is perfectly made as well. I was impressed with the quality of food served here! It's fun to grill your own meat but not all meat is grilled. Our beef bulgolgi was served to us already cooked with a lot of deliscious flavorful sauce and fresh vegetables. For dessert, they have a cooler by the entrance where you can select from a variety of Korean popsicles and ice creams. We noticed a lot of male Korean businessmen eating here as well as families so you know it's good! They won't let you take home the left over side dishes nor lettuces so we wondered what they did with them... wash it and re-serve it? Ewww I hope not! (I took off a star for that) Stop by and check it out when you're in town! You'll be happy and full when you u do!

The restaurant was clean and the staff were all very pleasant and attentive, especially Rolli. We had an excellent dinner especially having the chef do a special request to cook the tomahawk pork chop beef steak style. We had their regular tomahawk pork chops as well and the seafood pizza. Both orders of the Tomahawk pork chops were cooked perfectly! It was moist and flavorful. Great job! Ms Sinclair had asked us to comeback and try their breakfast buffet. So we all came back here for their newly launched breakfast buffet the next day. They had quite a few selections that was out on the buffet tables but there are other dishes that you can order a la carte which is also included on the buffet price. The thick slices of grilled bacon side was so tender and flavorful, boneless fried chicken and gravy was crunchy and moist inside, the poached egg on their eggs benedict was perfectly cooked. Their warm medallions of French toast with caramelized bananas was excellent, crunchy on the outside with the sauce lightly drizzled perfectly. We loved the Dalandan juice (green citrus fruit) and the authentic hot cocoa. We will be back! Chef Jaymie even came out of his busy kitchen to meet with us, nice memorable gesture!
