I've always been impressed with this location! Their portions are perfect, employees are friendly, and it always appears to be clean. Service really can't get any worse at this location. Every single time I come the employees are slower than molasses. It consistently takes 20-30 mins to get served here. Today was particularly bad. They had 4 team members all apparently working very hard, but not helping anybody who was standing in the ever growing line. It was only a few people long when I got here and it still took 20 mins. I can honestly say I have NOTHING nice to say about cold stone. This location is the closest to my house therefore the one I would go to most frequently. The first few times I went it was okay but felt overpriced, the more often I've gone the more terrible experiences I've had. I should have stopped going after the time the guy gave me like half a scoop of ice cream in my bowl and called it good. The employees are not very kind. If you inconvenience them in the slightest i.e. order anything that requires effort they are not very pleasant. One time the girl in front of me, who was also in my group, ordered a milkshake. I then asked for a milkshake and they said "we don't do those anymore it's too late." Needless to say I just walked out. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. Overpriced, bad service, and you can get better ice cream from the store. read more

I'm going to start with a few positives. My ice cream (Strawberry Blonde - no strawberry ice cream sub with cake batter and no graham cracker crust sub with yellow cake) is always good. Mixed pretty well for what they are supposed to do most of the time. Candy apples are on point and the Mr. is always happy with what he gets. Smoothies are good, but a hit or miss for flavor. The location is very convenient, and the outside seating makes it worth it in warmer weather. There seems to be a pretty decent ice cream cake variety in the freezer in the lobby for a quick choice. This location needs some work, for sure. This is a busy location (at least the majority of the times I've come they had a line). The set up for the line is weird and it has the line so close to the tables that you could be next to someone's behind while trying to enjoy your dessert at your table. Not exactly sure how to fix this issue, but it does need fixing. Cleaning needs work - the lobby feels and looks dirty. Even the ice cream mixing area is dirty most times I've come in. If it's super busy, I get that as they are cranking out the concoctions of ice creams and didn't get a moment to really clean it. Staffing has been an opportunity for improvement. I feel bad when there's a line and there's only 2 people working. I've actually left for this reason. I didn't want to add to the stress for those 2. (Not all do this and it's obviously not a requirement for anyone, but I legit felt so bad for them I decided to go to the grocery store instead) While customer service isn't on everyone's priority list, I do feel it's important and high on my list of expectations. I love efficiency, so when I saw that this location is a combination of both ice cream and chocolate, I was thrilled to be able to get something for everyone in one stop. My recent visit was a quest for ice cream, which was fulfilled. I always love the mix ins and the variety of flavors and options. They do a nice job with the ice cream-to-mix in ratio, and this day was no exception. Service was friendly and the quality of the ice cream was great. I know this is not the responsibility of Cold Stone, but if they wanted to go above and beyond, they could wash down the tables outside in the common area (not owned by Cold Stone) There was melted, sticky ice cream all over them. read more

Service is awful. They don't know how to measure their sizes, so they gave us a half empty like it and an exact same size one that was over flowing. Explain to your 5 year olds why one of them gets a huge one and the other gets a half gone one. I really don't know where to begin with this. I normally don't leave bad reviews. Because I usually want to give a business a second chance before they get a negative Mark. And I know that unhappy people or more likely to leave a review than happy people are. Also being a former server and bartender I understand that sometimes things happen beyond your control. But for an ice cream place, my visit there was a disaster. I am one who thinks that McDonald's has the worst ice cream but now I'm not so sure. So I went to cold stone today, and it certainly isn't The cold stone I remember. It started with what amounted to a soft serve ice cream. Then they basically mixed in some fudge syrup And peanut butter syrup threw it around for a second on a cold plate then stuck it in a cup for me. It was a mess in a cup and the taste , it even less appealing than it looked. The picture showed chunks of fudge and peanut butter. What I got was sludge. I remember a day when I used to go to cold stone and they will take the frozen hard ice cream and they will take your crushed up mix ins and they were pound and work it into this heavy frozen ice cream on a frozen stone. And that's what cold stone was all about. It's sad when in order to cut costs and boost profits businesses completely lose their way and forget what their secret sauce was. I'm sorry cold stone, but I will never return to any of your restaurants or ice creameries ever again. Don't bother offering me another try or a free ice cream in the future. This cold stone location is always disorganized and hectic. In my last recent visit we came after dining at spitz and surprisingly it was empty! I walked in and waited for one of the five workers to acknowledge me. They never acknowledged me, meanwhile another customer came in. Five minutes go by and they happily service... the person behind me! I've never been ignored this badly before, I was finally served by another worker after a couple more minutes. I just love ice cream. Cold stone never disappoints on the price and taste. I love getting the mint ice cream with Oreos and brownies. Yesssss it's a chocolate yummy mess. My friend got the founders favorite which is also amazing. They make pretty good waffles too so I recommend it to anyone that hasn't tried it. Very disappointed in the customer service by one specific employee Kali (spelling). We entered as 6 paying customers. Ran into some friends that we haven't seen in years... they were checking out and we were in line. Said employee told us we needed leave if we weren't buying ice cream, (half of my party was clearly standing in line, while half of their party were actively checking out). We let her know we were here as customers and joined our party in line. Kali then proceeded to rush us through the line with a giant attitude throughout the process (one family behind us). There was a very nice gal at check out that was clearly feeling the crappy energy of this rude human and was doing her best to be extra nice to make up for it. While she was trying to get our order from one of us, the rude employee kept interrupting me and taking over me to give the same order that I was providing. I will NEVER come back to this location and I will be sure to let all my friends and family know to find a different ice cream shop. No great cake with Happy Birthday on it. Our cake was never made. The server said we could get a refund or choose a cake from the case. I don't frequent Cold Stone Creamery (frozen yogurt is more my thing), but the few times that I have come here it's been fine and delicious. You're better coming here in the earlier afternoon because once the work day is over, this place can get packed and stay that way into the evenings. This is especially true on weekends. You may find yourself waiting in a long line or evening coming up short on some ingredient or bowl you were hoping for. They're much busier than other ones I've visited. With that in mind, the employees do a decent job here. I can only imagine how tiring it must be to scoop and chop ice cream for hours at a time with little resting time in between. Yeah, the ice cream is expensive (which is why we don't frequent the place), and can get even more pricey if you add in some of the Rocky Mountain Chocolates they sell in store. Speaking of which, if chocolate and ice cream is your thing. I'd say add this place as a staple. read more

The guy who made my son's love-it sized ice cream had it piled high, up over the rim. The girl who made the ice cream for me and my other son didn't correctly fill out the order. I asked two love-it and like-it with Oreos. She didn't even do it for the like-it and when she was about to hand me my love-it, I reminded her I wanted Oreo in it. Then when comparing the two love-it sizes made by 2 separate employees, what a difference in the amount given. I asked for a similar amount as my other son's and she still couldn't do it. Helpful employees, they are teenagers and are super chatty with each other and customers. Always delicious smooth ice cream, and there is a variety of toppings. And they have non-dairy smoothies for those who can't have it. Which is great for my husband, because I feel guilty having him go with me when he can't have any. I placed an order for a mint chocolate chip birthday cake with writing on it for my fiance's birthday. Me and my fiance love mint-flavored cakes, so that's the reason why I went to Cold Stone to place an order because I wanted their mint-flavored cake. We also have two daughters of which like mint-flavored cake as well, so I placed an order on Friday, March 6th for a Mint flavored 8" cake with writing in the Diné (Navajo) language. On Sunday when I went to pick up the cake, the server helping me told me that they skipped the order, then proceeded to offer me a smaller mint chocolate cake with another cake of my choice. That was a kind gesture but I don't want the other cake, I wanted a certain cake with certain writing on it. I declined the cakes then told him I just wanted my money back so I could go elsewhere. I drove out there for no reason, waisted time, and am uncertain if I will place a cake order from them in the future again. If they skipped the order on purpose because they couldn't write in Diné, then maybe they should let it be known that they can only write in the English language prior to avoid wasting my or anyone else's time. I gave them 3 stars because they refunded me my money back and offered a small cake and the actual cake size that I ordered but the other two stars aren't included because they didn't get me the correct cake and my fiance's cake wasn't as sentimental as I wanted it to be originally. read more
