I have chronic neck pain that most massage therapists don't have the strength to really get in the most painful spot to stretch out those muscles. I could tell Mark definitely had the strength, because he really hurt my spine going up and down with what felt like he used brute strength using his knuckles to massage my back.( i only wanted my neck and shoulders massaged) he totally did exactly what he wanted. I didn't want my hips massaged. Which hurt me also!!! I told him he was really hurting my back, and i swear it felt like he used more torque.I will never use his service again. I certainly won't reccomend him to anyone i like!!!! An hour and a half getting a massage from hell.

The few places I called around did not specialize or have anyone that can do it. I appreciated the honesty. When I called this place, they said yes, they do Thai massages. So great, I booked an appointment for her, but went with 60 minutes just in case it wasn't great. I have to say that pulling up to the building made me want to turn around and skip the appointment. But my mom wanted to push forward so we went in. The inside is a bit more welcoming, but still, it didn't feel right. The lady that did the massage and greeted us had a hard time understanding our questions. We had to repeat 60 minutes and I had to confirm it's a Thai massage with very firm pressure. She was confused then said yes. That didn't leave me with a lot of confidence. Nevertheless, I left my mom for her massage and came back within an hour. She told us that it was the worst massage she has ever had and that she repeatedly asked for firmer pressure but possibly due to her lack of skill and understanding, it went unchanged. I should have listened to the Yelp reviews and not the Google reviews.

I have enjoyed a 60 minute massage when time was limited, but getting a 90 minute massage is where the MAGIC happens! While it's always nice to chat with Melanie while she works, the best conversation is the one she has with my sore muscles when she has the time to very finely tune in to the tissue she is working with. Her work is an incredible value! I haven't been to her newest studio yet, but the Seabright location is centrally located with easy street parking. Melanie is often available on nights and weekends, sometimes scheduling during the day can be a little trickier. For a very small fee Melanie can come to your location as well, which would be helpful for those with restricted schedules.
