Between this title company and my exchange accommodator's negligence and lack of communicatiom, my escrow closing delayed almost 2 weeks. I had the loan agents, seller's agents & my own questioning on why it took so long to get a settlement statement. The seller was very impatient & even started threatening ulterior motives due to the extensive hold up. The seller's agent volunteered to show up physically to their office to find out what the hold up was & they claimed they "weren't aware of the closing date", which is total BS- I had advised 3 times in email threads, check my photos for recipes. They ignored all of my / loan officer's phone calls. We each left several voicemails. Never got 1 call back. They dropped the ball on closing date & made up excuses or simply ignored when questioned several times about the status for days & days. After we finally closed, there were several discrepancies. The title agent did not request a review prior to settling and just went ahead and executed. Additionally, they shorted us on the balance owed back and when I wrote an email questioning the $457.06 difference, once again NO RESPONSE. I would never repeat business in such unprofessional people with their conduct. Do NOT use this title company.

I had listed my home FSBO, but I believed that a professional brokerage firm would get me the best possible price. Not only did they con me into thinking I could get $20,000 more by listing with them, they literally twisted my arm to accept a buyer for $14,000 *under* my original for-sale-buy-owner price. My broker, who is supposed to get me the best price, didn't even inform me that I could submit a counter offer to the buyer. Instead, he said I had to respond before the buyer's offer expires the next day. This is one of the biggest decisions of my life, and I have 24 hours to accept or face the consequences? My broker absolutely did nothing to provide wise guidance Once in contract, I tried to get out. I gave specific instructions to my broker who then consulted with Bill True. And they decided NOT to convey my conditions for sale to the buyer because they were afraid to lose the deal. This is a breach of fiduciary duty, which is spelled out in SC Law Title 40, Chapter 57, SECTION 40-57-350 I do not know how much Berkshire Hathaway costed me but if you are looking for a realtor who will put your interests ahead of their own, go somewhere else.
