Completely unprofessional. Caleb made an appointment with us to see a house, but didn't tell us he booked another couple at the same time. this was very uncomfortable and awkward as we were both looking around at the same time knowing we were competing for the same house. Later, when we went to submit our application, they asked for additional information that they didn't previously asked for. so Lynette wrote down her email and a few things for me to send her. SHE KEPT MY $60 dollar application fee. I sent the info to her a day or two later. I waited a few days with no response from her. When I did reach out to her, she informed me that more information that she had previously asked for was needed. I Responded immediately with the requested Information. She then informed me she was still missing information that I had just sent. So I sent it one more time. She replied that another applicant has been accepted. Keep in mind when we left our application in the fee she told us we were first in line. She tells us there were two other applications and because we didn't respond immediately they "moved on". we received communication from them. That more information was needed until I reached out to them today. I know this is a lot, but do not trust this company. They do not care about people. They only care about money and now I have to physically go and get my money back from them that they basically stole from me. read more

Broker Carl C, and his team are UNPROFESSIONAL, LACKS INTERGITY, DISHONEST, ENGAGE IN UNFAIR BUSINESS DEALS, DISCRIMINATION AND EXTREMELY LAZY. I called a listing agent for a home in Macon Ga. The listing agent was not a Coldwell Banker agent somehow, the call was routed to this Coldwell Banker location. Go figure. Anyway, Varrick Horton answered my call. I told him I was interested in the house and wanted to view it. After viewing the house Varrick stated it was not a good choice for me because it had structure damage and that he would send me some potential properties. That was false, I waited days for the properties. I reached out to Varrick, and he had an excuse for not following up. I explained that I was looking to move within 40 days and a cash buyer. Varrick was not motivated for any real estate business, he failed to follow up in a timely manner, he is lazy and full of excuses, it takes him 3minutes or more to respond to a question while conversing, it was strange and questionable, his behavior. I found another house and asked him for additional information he failed to respond in a timely manner, when he did it was too late. I was doing all the work of a real estate agent, I found another property, asked Varrick to put in my offer, he eventually did after multiple requests. I offered listing price that was already above the market rate. Varrick wanted me to increase my cash offer without any proof supporting the increase. Other agents even ignored Varrick calls and text; he is useless when it comes down to a real estate agent. I called Coldwell to report Varrick, I was harassed and intentionally placed on hold or sent to an imaginary voicemail that would allow you to leave a voice message by Keisha for punishment. I called 18 times trying to get through to Carl C, the broker. Keisha was adamant in preventing me from speaking with Carl C., Keisha even lied and said let me transfer you to Carl direct line, then placed me on hold for more than 4 minutes with music playing, no Carl, no voice message no nothing just lied. When I called back, Keisha ignored my calls. I waited 10 minutes and called back, Keisha answered the phone again, I asked her for Carl's direct business contact number and was told by Kesiha she was not allowed to give out Carl's business phone number? What? this is a public business. Why would Carl C, need his phone calls screened before providing his business contact number? No competent business would engage in such unethical behavior. This business is sketchy, all the agents are sketchy, the broker is sketchy, read the reviews before dealing with this office. I do not recommend this business for any real-estate needs. I especially do not recommend Varick Horton, if you are a female be very careful around him. Stay alert and keep your cell phone handy. Totally profit driven, totally commission. Gotta' get that commission! The property next door came up for sale and this outfit posted their sign. I inquired about it giving my name and real telephone number. I was interested in it because the lot adjoins mine. The guy calls me Sunday morning and I'd been up for all of 20 seconds. Some people like to sleep in on Sunday and that Sunday the time had changed making it a spring forward and stay in bed because, well, it's Sunday morning. Do you mind if I at least go to the bathroom before your agent calls me to get his commission? Who calls someone that early on Sunday? Emailed him a couple of times about the property and got no replies. Gee, no computer? He must have sold my number because now I get calls from some listing agent in the Athens area. With the area code I have, it's not local to Macon, maybe he thinks I live up that way. This second guy is likely not affliated with call-you-when-you're-in-the-bathroom got to get your money in his BANK 'er else, other than getting my number. Second guy keeps calling and calling. He's a minister and real estate agent. What a combination. Called and left a message that he was praying for me. What was he praying for? That I buy something in the middle of this pandemic so he could get his commission? Or did he mean he was preying for me? Pretty scummy, if in fact the first-- got to get that commission agent-- gave out my number to real estate agents or sold it. I've never before received real estate agents' calls regarding property, period, let alone property in the Athens area when I live in Macon. Now, after responding to this agency, I suddenly start getting calls. This is the third agency in the Macon area that I've had the displeasure to deal with. All three are commission driven or so it seems from my point of view with calling, calling, calling. Some people don't do business at all on a Sunday. Middle of a pandemic the second guy invites me to an open house. Yes, you read that correctly. Dude was holding an open house during a state lockdown because, well, got to get that commission. If I ever, EVER do business with any of the three agencies (two I've not mentioned) I will now know what I'm dealing with. read more

If you enjoy poor communication, incompetence, and throwing away 10% of your rent at people who do NOTHING for it; this is the property manager for you. If you, like us, are a military family living thousands of miles away--do NOT use this company. My wife and I are former Air Force Officers stationed in Warner Robins in 1981. We bought our first house there and were quickly reassigned overseas. For 20+ years Coldwell managed our small rental house in Warner Robins sending monthly statements and taking their percentage. A few small repairs were required, and even fewer changes of tenants. When the current tenant left, she left major repairs. Turns out Coldwell has no records of any walk through of the property for decades. There was major wear and tear and damage. When I asked them to sell it as is, they dragged their feet, and insulted me for asking them nicely to get the house on the market in a timely fashion. Scott Street finally said he wouldn't list the house because of me (a flat out, made up lie as there were no discordant communications between us, just his promises to go look at the house and get back to me). He never did. I then called him an idiot and called his boss. When I presented my concerns to the manager about his employees, he told me to get someone else to list the property. No apologies. Truth is there wasn't enough money in it for them. They let me down horribly. I would not trust them. read more

We recently moved out of a house that we had rented for three years through Coldwell Banker SSK's property management division.I would not recommend this company to anybody in the area, go with an individual or another company. They rent houses owned by other agents in the office, such as our house, owned by Trinette Rosales. Lots of issues with Coldwell not wanting to take responsibility for issues with the house, in part, I believe because it is owned by a fellow realtor. They would try to scare us into not reporting a problem because it "could" be our fault and they would not cover the cost of repairs then. Well, it was never our fault. We were held to the letter of our lease and reminded numerous times about the wording of the contract on issues, but they never held themselves to the contract and it left us with little recourse other than court. Phone calls and emails were answered late, if answered at all. Getting documentation for our move out never happened and it was only after many phone calls and emails that we were finally issued our deposit back. We were great renters for three years, never late with a payment and took great care of the house. We were even told by Coldwell that we were one of the best renters they ever had. Wish we could have said that they treated us like we were good renters. I would not recommend this company in anyway. Look elsewhere to be treated better. read more

We were moving here from MD so there was a lot of text & email correspondence & she answered every question & kept sending me listings. When we narrowed it down to the houses we wanted to see we came down & spent a few days looking & she was very knowledgeable about the area & helpful in answering questions I had regarding each home & what I might do to alter them to fit my handicap needs & even recommended contractors. Once we picked the house we wanted she was great in negotiating what we asked for & we got what we wanted. Once back in MD she continuously kept us informed of everything along the way ie, inspections, (old & new, the house had prev offers) & kept made sure work on the amendment to the sale was completed. She was fantastic, & let me tell you, I ask a lot of questions lol. I highly recommend her & her office if you're looking to buy a home! She's the best of the best!!! read more

I would not recommend Jennifer Jones at Coldwell Banker SSK. The sale of our home came down to her lowering her commission from 6% to 5% (from $12,400 to $10,350 for 5 weeks work when she never even showed the house ONCE. It was other agents who brought clients to see it when they saw it on MLS!) and she was unwilling to do so and we lost the buyer. Her Broker, Rex Yoder, didn't show any concern for us either. Only "his overhead" and what Coldwell Banker was going to make from the sale. I get everyone works to make money. However, we were going to have to pay at closing and they would not reduce their commission to make even that doable where they were going to be the only ones making any money at all. To me that just isn't right and there are plenty of other agents more willing to work with you to close a deal. Especially in this economy! I would be sure to ask those questions upfront so you don't get stuck like we did. Get everything in writing and don't fall for the marketing charm. After all that, she then attempted to hold us to the lisiting contract when we were unhappy with her service and wanted out and she said if we sold the house ourselves she would still get her commission. In the end, she proved to be more concerned about herself than her client and only willing to put forth minimum effort while expecting maximum payoff. read more

Where do I begin. Let's start from the beginning. Go ahead and pop you some popcorn and relax because this is going to be a long review :) My fiancé and I were interested in moving out of our apartments and into a rental home for two reasons. We wanted more room but weren't ready to commit to buying yet and we still wanted the security of having maintenance included. We fell in love with the house we live in now, however it has been a NIGHTMARE dealing with Coldwell Banker SSK from Day 1. We were asked to sign a contract and within 48 hours provide first months rent ($1095). We did just that. It took them 2 1/2 months to cash it. They did not contact us at all prior to moving in and we finally called them to arrange a time to get keys, do a walk through, etc. Upon doing the walk through, they insisted we pay another $800? There was no mention of this prior to moving in so needless to say we were not happy. The first month there we started noticing issues with the plumbing. There was sediment shooting out of the faucet in my whirlpool tub, water wasn't staying hot for longer than 3 minutes in the shower, along with countless other issues and we brought it to their attention the first month we paid rent. (on the first might I add) We explained all of the issues and were told we would receive a call from the lady in charge of maintenance. We never received a call. The second month we came in to pay rent ( on the first Might I add) we inquired about getting the issues fixed AGAIN, and were given the same answer. Never received a call. We are 5 months into this lease, have still never gotten a call from Coldwell and frankly- IM PISSED. There is several amenities in this house like the whirlpool tub that were selling points for us and we have never gotten to use them. Our roof was "patched" before moving in with shingles that don't even match and they have been coming off with every storm we've had since. The ice maker in the refrigerator leaks. There are water spots where we are worried there is a water leak in the walls. Do these people care about maintaining their customers property at all??! I mean, if I was the owners of this house paying these people all this money to do a job- I would be furious???!!?!!!? So after 5 months of cold showers my fiancé and I were fed up. Our neighbor knows the owners, has contacted them, and we are making arrangements to get this resolved. Coldwell Banker has been receiving our rent payments on the 1st since we moved here and apparently the owners get paid late every month and they are just as pissed as we are! I imagine they make a pretty penny off this sweet, elderly couple- and their being taking advantage of considering Coldwell Is NOT holding up their end of the bargain with maintaining very important functions of this house. Coldwell should be ashamed of their sketchy business practices and I will be sure to let anyone house hunting know just that! If you have any plans to rent or buy from these people- do yourself a favor and DON'T. You are better off living in an apartment with legit maintenance because their maintenance dept. is a JOKE. They are never at the office and don't appear a bit concerned with the fact they are ripping people off. We pay our rent on time, maintain landscaping and are great tenants and there is no justifiable reason as to why they have not kept up their end of this contract. A word of advice to whoever is in charge of this hot mess: Don't be upset when you have bad reviews when you have been given ample time to make this right. Roaches! And so much else! I looked at the home while it was still being updated and was told the work would be complete by that Saturday, 6 days before we moved. I arrived at the home to obtain the keys at 9AM only to find that NOTHING else had been done to the property, pretty sure once that lease was signed it was just a matter of how much money could be saved considering the first lake home we looked at was just conveniently listed without ever being updated. My movers were scheduled to arrive at 10AM and yep, you guessed it, my things had to be dropped in the front yard. After 10 hours of waiting for the updates and cleaning to be completed I left with all of my things still sitting in the backyard (after myself and the neighbors moved it all) because I had not yet received the help I had been waiting on to move everything indoors. The help did arrive that night and my belongings were moved inside but still with so many things not completed. My fiancée went over some of the things that were needed such as smoke detectors, window locks, fixing doors that wouldn't close, etc. Well, we were promised a lot but didn't get much. We were told to contact the fire department to have smoke detectors installed and it was our responsibility and they did come to install one and informed us the owner needed to install more or gave a fine. My fiancée left a message over 24 hours ago and we have not received a call back. Last night I saw a roach in the kitchen, we have a 5 and 6 year old and this is obviously a health concern, we have never lived with roaches. I bought gel, traps, and spray, and called to leave yet another message informing them of the situation and to inform them that I was unsure of the extent of the infestation but I would like to know if there were any intentions on their's or the owners behalf to rectify the situation and have still not received a call back on that one either. Recently moved out of a house that was rented through them and had a horrible experience. The walk through they told me I had to pay 100.00 for cleaning service and even after they told me the owners were replacing the carpet that I did not need to steam clean the carpets changed their minds the last day so they charged me for that also. Three days after the walk through thinking I only had to pay for the above services they have taken the total$950.00 deposit saying that I broke the fence, even though I called them many, many, many times to have it repaired because it was broken to begin with!!! Do not rent from this company they will not return calls, or have the issues repaired in any kind of timely manner. read more
